    Great, great Video.
    Could you add the Homegrid Battery to the comparison?

    • @MySolarHomeUSA

      I will do an update soon. I am not sure what batteries to include - there are a whole bunch including HomeGrid that are really competing hard. Some of them will make it and some wont. Thank you for your kind words.

    Hi, Great Video. Very detailed. One thing I did not see mention is the max amperage output of each battery. A comment below mentions needing 5 5ps to get the same as 2 Franilin. Which is an accurate statement however, due to the max output amperage of the 5ps. You could technically get 4 5ps and still have the ability power more items than Franklin. Each 5p has 16 amps max output vs one Frankling at 20 amps max. So 2 Franklins only have 40 max amps. Vs Enphase that has over 60 amps max with 4 5 ps. Could you explain the significance of this?

    • @MySolarHomeUSA
      @MySolarHomeUSA  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello Alfred, Thanks for watching and writing. The amperage can be calculated from the Continuous Power. Two Enphase 5P's (10 kwh) can output 7.68 kw - that is 7680 watts. If you divide that by 240 volts you get the continuous Amps - 32 Amps. Compare that to 1 Franklin (13.5kwh) its continuous output is 7kw or 7000 watts or 29 Amps. The 5P is a smaller 5kwh unit while the Franklin is a 13.6 kwh unit. So to compare you need more 5P's. When you do an apples to apples i.e. if both Enphase and Franklin have the same kwh, then Enphase will generate more power and more Amperage. In fact as shown above the 10kwh Enphase battery generates more Amps than the 13.6 kwh Franklin. So you could buy 4 Enphase 5P's and generate more power that 2 Franklins. Hope that clarifies. Thanks again

    Great Video. Have you ever looked into Paladin Power. They're a new player in the ESS space. Curious your thoughts on them. Haven't seen anyone on TH-cam report on them and was curious how their system stacks up against all the other bigger players in the ESS space. Thanks.

    • @MySolarHomeUSA
      @MySolarHomeUSA  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you v much. There are a lot of other players in the market who make excellent batteries. I believe it will be in your best interest to buy batteries from a company once they hit a certain size. That ensures they will remain to honor their warranty obligations. I expect many of the battery manufacturers of today will not be alive in 5 years. I will look at Paladin Power, but it might be best to see if they bubble up on their own and start making waves like Franklin did. Thanks again.

    I'm really liking the Enphase 5P but it would take 6 of the 5P to equal 2 of the Franklin's which would give you approx. 27-30 KWH. This would seem the 5P's would take up a much larger footprint even though they are smaller. So what is the cost difference for six Enphase 5P vs two Franklin's? Is there a website we can go to look at prices and compare? I know Enphase makes the best microinverters...it would be good to stay with all one system. Awesome video and thanks for any info.

    • @MySolarHomeUSA
      @MySolarHomeUSA  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are right. It would need 5 of of the 5P's to match the storage capacity of 2 of the Franklins. The footprint may not be very different as the 5P's are pretty small individually. Re pricing, the 5P's have not yet hit the market in full commercial volumes. Enphase is still selling its older batteries. I would make a video when availability and pricing become common. You can check with Cooper and CED - these are two nationwide distributors that might have 5P's in stock. But, current prices are likely to be high. I would wait till availability hits the mainstream. Please reach out to me when you plan to go solar - I can help. I am at jon@mysolarhome.us Thanks v much for watching and your kind words.

      Concerning Power Production. Am I correct that if you hook up two Enphase batteries is tandem that the power doubles but that does not happen with two Solar Edge in tandem? What happens with the Franklin and the Tesla with respect to this issue. Great review overall.

    Is one enphase 5p enough battery for a 5.1 kw system ? Or should I go with two batteries?

    • @MySolarHomeUSA
      @MySolarHomeUSA  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you want just enough backup to run your kitchen, living room and internet, 1 should be enough. If you are looking for a full home backup (excluding the AC and similar) then 2 would be the better choice. Have you already purchased solar? If you are looking at doing solar and battery, I could help with a good deal - email me at jon@mysolarhome.us. Thanks for watching.

    For load shedding feature in Enphase, do I need a separate critical loads panel or is this completely done via software?

    • @MySolarHomeUSA
      @MySolarHomeUSA  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is done using their software. The critical panel may or may not be there as part of your installation. That is dependent on the number of batteries you buy and the loads you backup. Thanks for watching and commenting.
