Nothing better than seeing a guy may age with the smile of an 12 year old boy with his first real bicycle. That feeling isn't captured much after that age. His dream came true and he wears it on his sleeve, where it belongs. Very cool to see somebody that excited and happy with a toy!!! I'd smile too! Who wouldn't?
Lou your conversations with the owners, and the unbelievable cars make your channel special. You seem to bring out the character of the owners, and the cars special features. Thanks

Slick build, very nice car. I'm not into the modern leather interior and the Chevy 350 though. Needs a flathead back in it, maybe with a blower, or at least a Ford V8.

I have another favorite! Sweet hood release action, thanks for demonstrating! It's great... real hands on ride! Great waterworks, fast n smooth! I enjoyed it! Glad he's got er back! Thanks for another great one!!!!
What a gorgeous car, the only thing that could improve it, would be a nice little 289 cubic inch "Ford" engine. Good grief, all the money spent on this car and then cheap out on the engine!
@@loucostabile I had seen many YT postings of this model and its variations with tinted glass. Perhaps a company had been formed to make new tinted glass for cult classic cars such as this. Couldn't had been a sprayed tint as these will be blemished with time under the sun. Worth investigating, as it'd be a stray off period correctness had new tinted glass been added.

HI Derek Mitchell, Glad you like this one :-) There is a place I have cars for sale that I've videoed (unless they're sold already) Lou www.mycarstorywithlou.com/cars-for-sale/
Nice video nice car I bought one when I was 19 years old $350 drove it for year like it was then started updating everything my car is 48 years old with me it’s almost done again, Would explain what I did it would take to long, I know you’re enjoying that coupe as much as I enjoy mine well thank you for the video.🕶
Hi Eriberto Acedo, Clearly you're the right Care Taker for your car :-) Thank you for viewing, sharing your story, and appreciate the kind words on the video :-) Lou
Hi Rob Mitchell, "Sacrilege!!!" I have to say Rob, your comment made me smile :-) Usually I'd agree, however this one is so well done and well put together that I can ignore that.. It's highly likely if we did not tell you it was a Chevy engine under all the chrome and polished aluminum, you'd love this one too :-) Lou
It is really too bad these cars are going to the Wayside such as this one, anybody can build a butcher hot rod an original stock car is extremely rare and more valuable.
so it's essentially a 1970 nova V8. with a WHOLE lotta Dearborn Michigan and interior appointments that hold up the early history of Ford. magnificently, I might add.. Wonder why the people developing this resto-mod didn't consider the very capable Ford 302 v8 for this. i'm thinking configuration of the engine bay works better with the gm 350. a little more horse power, and a better fit is a win-win in my book. but there are strict fomoco heads out there that always reject the notion of a switcheroo. howbout' a four speed 454 tucked into a 1971 challenger? mopar freaks would definately be underwhelmed.
I was liking the car until he said it had a Chevrolet engine in it. It is a sin to mix manufacturers' components in a car. A Ford car should have a Ford engine only. A Chevrolet Engine should only go into a Chevrolet car. General Motors was sued for putting Chevrolet Engines in Oldsmobiles. You just don't put any engine, but a Ford engine in a Ford.

Ain't too cool on Chev engine, but more reliable than an overheating flap head. Super car.

Period correct? 350 Chevrolet in a Ford????
Maybe a Ford engine would be better.....

Great car, the trunk and interior surprised me.
Hi William Scott, And the interior, and under the hood surprised me too :-) Lou
Nice :)
A real surprise on the inside and under the hood.
Yeah :)
Why oh why do people want a Chevy engine is a Ford? And why an automatic in an okd-school hotrod?
Hi Michael, I'm not sure, however that's the way this one turned out and I thought it was cool enough to share, Lou
Tinted windows on a 1940 ford? Caddy didn't have that till 49. Had they been newly made and retro fitted? Or is it a spray-on tint?
Hi Michael, Hmmm, not sure how the windows on this one are tinted. Lou
