    So if you want to have a breakout room, do you send the person a second link to another jamboard?

    • @123PeopleDevelopment
      @123PeopleDevelopment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi you can do it that way, but I think it makes it more complicated, I use the same jamboard and "assign" each group a board number they can go to, you can have up to 20 boards in total, but remember only 50 people on the whole jamboard. It is also easier for you to manage as you can see when you drop down the little arrow next to the number where they all are. Hope that makes sense

      @@123PeopleDevelopment Yes, that makes sense. I remember you doing that in the video, but I was still a little confused. I do like the whiteboard on Zoom, but Jamboard is so much more nuanced and has more functions. I am going to start using it. Thanks for responding!

    Do i need to use a break out room for this if I have people using different boards or does zoom know who is on what board and stops groups talking over each other? thanks

    • @123PeopleDevelopment
      @123PeopleDevelopment  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Biff, good question. No. Zoom doesn't know. It doesn't integrate with jamboard. If the whole group are not in a breakout room then they could talk over each other if they are doing different activities on separate boards. So. I would then put them into a breakout room in that scenario. But if we are all doing the same exercise, then we stay in the main room and complete the board together. Does that make sense to you?

    Hi - thank so much for this! I have started to use this for a class in zoom. The participants join with the link. Every time we do it there is one or two people who can't get on and they get a message that they have to download the jamboard app and sign in. Everyone else gets on just fine. So you have a suggestion for me about why this might happen and what I can do about it? Thanks!

    • @123PeopleDevelopment
      @123PeopleDevelopment  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your comment. The one thing I check is are they using chrome as a browser. That can sometimes cause sign in issues.

    I'm wondering how to invite the participant in zoom to have a write down in the jamboard, everyone at the same time..., without sending to particular account which we might not have. Like a... some students standing in front of white board, and each one discuss or argue by adding or write down something on the board... does jamboard provide this mechanism?

    • @123PeopleDevelopment
      @123PeopleDevelopment  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good morning. I think I understand your question. If you send the link to the jamboard from the bottom box rather than input the email which can cause assess issues. The other comment i am struggling to fully understand around the student standing in front of the jamboard. Could you help me understand a little more please

      Hi Lyn. Thank you for your message. You should see the share icon below the window playing the clip. Looks like a little forward icon. When you click that you can choose how to share it. Or you can chose to copy the link and share it that way. Ill pop the link below if that would make it a little easier for you. :-)

    great video Sam; such an easy tool to use! You mentioned you can see who is working on what board; where can you see that? OR do you see the names of the participants when they're on the board?

    • @123PeopleDevelopment
      @123PeopleDevelopment  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kris. Thank you. Your most welcome. Yes. You can see the participants. However. They come into the board as an animal name. So before I send them in I get them to write their name on the board and I take a note of which was which. Not easy with a big group though. Hope that helps. Sam

    How to assign kids to individual boards

    • @123PeopleDevelopment

      Hi jannie. The only way you could do that is point them to a specific board number or create separate boards completely and have them open on separate browser tabs. That could work

    great information. if i am in zoom how do i get the participants to be editors?

    • @123PeopleDevelopment
      @123PeopleDevelopment  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Janice, you go to share in the Jamboard on the top right in blue, then on the section at the bottom, where it says share the link, once you have made it to everyone, change it on the drop-down from viewer to editor, then everyone who enters the board can write and draw etc

    I really enjoyed your video. I tutor one on one and use Jamboard for many avenues of my teaching, but I love it for games. I make individual boards for my students to give them editing privileges, however I haven't figured out how we can both have editing privileges at the same time. If I send the board to them with editing ability then I lose mine, if I have editing ability on my board then they don't. How can I adjust the setting so we can both have editing ability at the same time?

    • @123PeopleDevelopment
      @123PeopleDevelopment  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Wendy. If you edit the box below, change that to editor and share the link from there. Don't normally have any issues with that. Its when the top box is filled in with email address etc issues start to arise. Let me know how you get on

    Can students edit a Jamboard on ZOOM! without having to get a link?

    • @123PeopleDevelopment
      @123PeopleDevelopment  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. In theory if share your screen with the jamboard on they can annotate using the zoom annotation tools but they won't be able to edit the actual jamboard without the link. They need to "enter" it to allow for that.

    Great info! Brand new to Jamboard. Questions- As the moderator is there a way I can prevent participants from adding inappropriate content? Also, can I resize the photos they add so someone doesn't add a HUGE photo that covers up everyone else's contributions?

    • @123PeopleDevelopment
      @123PeopleDevelopment  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Unfortunately you can't stop them adding pictures that may not be appropriate, but you can delete images and yes, you can resize them too. Click on them. Either delete or pull the corner to change the size. Hope this helps

    thank you so much. So if you share the link in the chat box on Zoom and you have the link set for editor, anyone in your group once they click on the link can open and work on the Jam-board. Is this correct?
