- In this video we go to a famous fish market in Stone Town on the island of Zanzibar in Tanzania. We buy some fish at the fish market then head out on a 30 minute ride to the top of the island to harvest some spices and fruits that would go together with the seafood we had bought. We prepare the seafood in a traditional Zanzibar way and I learned some local cooking techniques. I also ate something very bad in the forest.
I had visited large parts of the island of Zanzibar and been in Kendwa and Nungwi, which were my favorite with the incredible blue indian ocean. It is similar to the places I had seen in Quintana Roo and the caribbean coast of Mexico and places like Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Cozumel and Tulum. However, I liked this a bit more.

This interactive experience was a welcome respite from the beach life that figured prominently(although I don't mind it) from your recent videos. The locals seem to be very hospitable and friendly. William when you travel what do you expect to gain? For some it's the beach life, food and culture. All the best from Toronto Canada.
Good question actually. Im not quite sure. I get restless when I stay in one place for too long. It's like I have to go on to the next place somehow. If I stay in once place for too long I get negative thoughts. Maybe it's an escape
