I know this because one of my relatives is a MARCOS commando. Before he became a MARCOS commando, he was a good guy, always with a smile on his face. But after 3 years of his service, he became someone else. He was always in a high-alert mod, didn't smile anymore, and didn't talk much. One day, when I asked him, 'Bro, how was the training?' he said, 'It was a complete hell. Initially 1000 recruits come to become MARCOS, but only 50 are selected for further training. When I asked him how many Special Forces soldiers are in MARCOS he said 1-2 I then said 1000-2000. He replied No lakhs That's what he knows, but I assume there are more MARCOS than 1-2 lakhs. i mean india have 1.45 million active personnel and 1.3 million reserve troops.

Information here is not 100% accurate. India has 3 special forces Parachute Regiment - Para SF who specialize in mountain desert and forest warfare. Marine Comandos - MARCOS specialize in ocean warfare and infiltration through water routes and then ground infiltration only if needed. MARCOS are not asking to marines entirely. Indian military developed them for special operations and maritime warfare. But large force amphi assaults are still the domain of the army based on the exercises I've seen them conduct. As for MARCOS they are not restricted to the Navy. In fa t, they do a lot of covert ops and even deep cover and espionage work in Kashmir and in foreign soil. And yes, every special forces operator in India is given the Maroon beret. That includes the Navy MARCOS, the Air Force Garurd (means Griffin in Sanskrit) and the army Para SF, formerly known as Para comandos. Garurd were raised for asset defence of Air force, but all 3 of them are used kinda like the JS JSOC. They are also given the "Balidan (sacrifice) badge which looks very similar to the SAS insignia. That is something which is earned after serving in combat, which is pretty much a necessity in India since we do have active insurgencies where our forces can get real combat experience.

I currently work as an EMT with EMSA in tulsa, Oklahoma. We use this video for training new hires on mass casualty response. The camera crews riding with these ambulance crews were making a Tv show on the day and life of first responders the day moore got hit. @@darkodonnie2729 Which one in particular? There have been many "COPE India" joint exercises held. For instance, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2018 and 2023. That being said, In an article printed in "The Aviationist" about the 2014 exercise, there were severe limitations placed upon the American pilots, and I quote:
"several limitations reduced the chances of victory of the Eagle drivers against the Indian fighters. First of all, the lack of the advanced active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar on their F-15s. Second, the air engagements typically involved six Eagles against up to eighteen IAF aircraft with no chance to simulate any beyond visual range (BVR) missile shot (due to the Indian request of not using the AMRAAM). Furthermore, the Indians had sent their most experienced airmen to fight against the Americans whereas the latter belonged to a standard squadron."
Don't take it so bad that we were asked to engage in mock dogfights against the Indian Airforce with one hand tied behind our backs. We couldn't use our more advanced technologies and didn't use our "best pilots" like India's hand-picked pilots. BTW, I don't think that Pakistan's military ranks too highly, so yeah, I expect India's military is superior to Pakistan's.
Also, PNS Ghazi (S-130) was a 1940s era sub (previously called the USS Diablo SS-479) that served in the United States Navy from 1945 to 1963, leased to Pakistan in 1963 and bought by Pakistan in 1975. Not exactly a formidable threat to any nation by the 1970s.🤭 On a side note, do you actually think if China (or any nation) invades India, they'll choose the highest Indian mountain peaks as their battleground?🙄 As a matter of fact, India has actually lost territory to China on that "highest battlefield" in recent years. As an Indian I adore Royal Marines,SBS and UKSF… MARCOS I would say is like top 5 favourite military units and yeah..I just adore amphibious warfare and Intelligence too… so these 2 mixed well in Royal Marines Commandos AND Other Naval Special Forces as well..

Well , most of the footage shown in the video is just for pictorial purpose. They are not marcos , they are regular infantry and even the video is pretty old. Now marcos has better gear, comtacs , x95 , and they also perform regular excersise with seals.

The camera crews riding with these ambulance crews were making a Tv show on the day and life of first responders the day moore got hit. Most people have no idea what happen in the aftermath of a tornado. This video is a great watch to understand what it takes to triage a mass casualty incident.

yup...gurkha units were originally raised in India during the British "raj" and still we operate those unts....and to clear the misconception, gurkha people also hail from India (other than Nepal) specially from the nothern part of west bengal and some of the the Uttrakhand areas.... and these Gorkhas are not Nepalis but pure Indians..... so we have Gurkha units still active currently serving 7 battalions in Indian Army.... war cry: "Jai Mahalaki, aayo Gurkhali"....
