Very helpful to watch thank you for this video ❤️. I am 6 months pregnant with my second baby & only just found out today that I have gestational diabetes & prayed to the Lord for some positive video on TH-cam that I could watch & I came across yours xx ❤️
I am 11 weeks, first baby after 4 years of trying.. just found out today that my blood sugar is high.. I got so scared and cried came home saw your video and now feeling a little less anxious. Luckily I am in Australia so I can hopefully buy all the food items you were using. Your video gives me hope that I will be able to get through it. I wish the doctors can give the patients some reassurance that it's not the end of the world if you have abnormal blood results.
Best to avoid sugary stuff and eat less food. Do sensible fasting. Otherwise doctors will put you on insulin. Try getting those sugar level testers and aim for your sugar levels to be under 6.
@@MU-ds3nz it has nothing to do with eating less food. You still have to eat balanced meals including carbs, otherwise you can end up with ketoacidosis which is extremely dangerous for pregnant women. Eating too little can be detrimental to baby’s development. Don’t give medical advice without knowledge please, you could harm someone. Be responsible.
First test came back high, having 3 hr test in two days. My last ultrasound baby was bigger than normal and I noticed weird ridges on fingernail symptom for uncontrolled diabetes. Did anyone else experience this?
Is this not too much bread for you? I am having just one slice of toast and few more carbs and I feel like my blood sugar is raising too much... lucky you 😅
I'm the same as you. I have to eat extremely low carb to keep my sugars down. Even 1 slice of whole grain bread makes my sugars high... 😢 No fruits other than berries for me either.
I also have an issue with bread. At the beginning, when I got diagnosed with GD in 27w bread was still ok for me. Now I am in week 30 and even a very healthy full-grain rye bread spikes my sugar level. Ladies, what do you eat if bread is not an option?

You have got this! It's not our fault, we can only do our best to managed it. The placental hormones will do what they do. xx
That is exactly correct & thank you needed to hear that 😊❤️
