Abigail said she tends to friendzone people she dates and I believe her. I think she did that to Noah and now the spark is gone. He's checked out, and there's no way to mend that relationship. I don't think the setting is to blame here.
He’s also not a virgin but has decided he’s now going to wait for marriage. It could be he’s afraid to be too affectionate he’ll slip up? But physical intimacy is important and there’s other things they can do. I think they could easily reignite that spark. I think Abigail wants to feel desired and flirty. I think they’ve only been there a week and a few days so unless he was just interested in her because he worked with deaf children (that was kind of a red flag for me) it should be repairable🤷♀️
I love your closing convos about who you'd go for. These crack me up and feel so relatable! Noah's been looking like he ate something that didn't agree with him, and it would make him sicker to sit up. So maybe a bad burrito is clouding his words and deeds regarding Abigail.

Clarification on the gift-giving (like the necklace) - Blake Horstmann was reacting to yesterday’s episode in real time on his Instagram stories & said that producers essentially have a collection of gifts that they can choose to bequeath to contestants, to give to *other* contestants, to help fit a narrative/start drama. (While I think Chasen’s necklace is definitely a producer plant, I would be more inclined to think that Karl brought his charm bracelet from home.)

You do the best recaps. I just got back into the Bachelor after a 10 year break (!) during quarantine. This is my first BIP. You really add to the enjoyment of watching the show.
DeAndre is the gem in this show imo. I really loved her since Peter's season and she's the one I would've picked as my final if I was in his position. It's funny Andy makes that Top Gun reference about Chaissen because I always thought he looked like if Val Kilmer was pulled out of the oven too soon. Also Seinfeld does get better at his acting about season 3 or so. Although his exchange with Bookman, the librarian, isn't his best moment as an actor lol

I am so glad you both are recapping Paradise, because I get to hear about all the drama without suffering through the mind-numbing pain of actually watching or paying attention to the episode! Thanks so much for another great review! I have to say, I really appreciated the realness and maturity of the conversation between Abigail and Noah. We see far too many of these couples immediately freak out and react defensively or accusatory when their "partner" raises concerns. These two both stayed cool headed and simply talked about it. It was very refreshing, even though it seems they didn't stay together in the end. Also, I wasn't a fan and of Chasen on Clayshia's season, and he did nothing to redeem himself on BIP. He thinks he himself is a smoke show, therefore, he can one up anyone other man. I don't think he won the argument with Karl. Neither one did. The both looked bad. Neither got a rose because Deandra is obviously level-headed enough to know that when to grown men are fighting over you because of jewelry, they are clearly not ready for a stable relationship, let alone an engagement. Also also, why do women need to build other women up but tearing other women down? It seems that every time Demi made a comment about how she was better, prettier, or more fun than Tia, the women around her always affirmed her statements. Is this actually a thing women do, like a girl code? It seems immature and unhealthy. I don't understand it.

First of all, the word watch count I am predicting is 3 times. Second, let's talk about Abigail and Noah. I find it very sad that couples think that passion is more important than enjoying each other's couple. I have been married a long time and enjoying spending time with my husband and him being my best friend is way more important than the passion...because when things get tough, we rely on each other because we have such a strong bond. I think Abigail is focusing on the wrong thing but I also think Noah could have shown her, when she voiced her concerns, a bit more "passion". Sit up, look her in the eye, tell her she's wrong and you are crazy about her. The laying there with the lazy conversation did not help. Love your podcast. It's the first I listen to each week.
I don’t think they think it’s more important (not all of them anyway) but I was attracted to my husband of 25+ years and still would be. Think back to when you first met and how you not only connected mentally but he probably made you feel like the most beautiful girl in the world. I know mine did and we took things slow but it still was exciting and sexy and thrilling and everyone should have that time. And you work your best at keeping your relationship strong in every department. A healthy sex life is vital for a happy marriage that lasts. I think Abigail wants to feel like a young desirable woman and there’s a ton of ways that can be achieved without going full boom boom room. Seeing others being kissed and held, I feel for her.

I have to say, I really appreciated the realness and maturity of the conversation between Abigail and Noah. We see far too many of these couples immediately freak out and react defensively or accusatory when their "partner" raises concerns. These two both stayed cool headed and simply talked about it. It was very refreshing, even though it seems they didn't stay together in the end.
Also, I wasn't a fan and of Chasen on Clayshia's season, and he did nothing to redeem himself on BIP. He thinks he himself is a smoke show, therefore, he can one up anyone other man. I don't think he won the argument with Karl. Neither one did. The both looked bad. Neither got a rose because Deandra is obviously level-headed enough to know that when to grown men are fighting over you because of jewelry, they are clearly not ready for a stable relationship, let alone an engagement.
Also also, why do women need to build other women up but tearing other women down? It seems that every time Demi made a comment about how she was better, prettier, or more fun than Tia, the women around her always affirmed her statements. Is this actually a thing women do, like a girl code? It seems immature and unhealthy. I don't understand it.

First of all, the word watch count I am predicting is 3 times. Second, let's talk about Abigail and Noah. I find it very sad that couples think that passion is more important than enjoying each other's couple. I have been married a long time and enjoying spending time with my husband and him being my best friend is way more important than the passion...because when things get tough, we rely on each other because we have such a strong bond. I think Abigail is focusing on the wrong thing but I also think Noah could have shown her, when she voiced her concerns, a bit more "passion". Sit up, look her in the eye, tell her she's wrong and you are crazy about her. The laying there with the lazy conversation did not help. Love your podcast. It's the first I listen to each week.
I don’t think they think it’s more important (not all of them anyway) but I was attracted to my husband of 25+ years and still would be. Think back to when you first met and how you not only connected mentally but he probably made you feel like the most beautiful girl in the world. I know mine did and we took things slow but it still was exciting and sexy and thrilling and everyone should have that time. And you work your best at keeping your relationship strong in every department. A healthy sex life is vital for a happy marriage that lasts. I think Abigail wants to feel like a young desirable woman and there’s a ton of ways that can be achieved without going full boom boom room. Seeing others being kissed and held, I feel for her.
