Would love Wells as full-time host. Not that he isn't funny (I thought he was one of the funnier guys on Jojo's season). But I agree with Andy that the host shouldn't be there just to further make fun of a show that exists to make fun of a franchise 😂

I think what happened to Joe is that, after going on the bachelor, he spent more and more time around gorgeous, successful people. And I imagine that under those circumstances you can start feeling like you're falling behind and you're just a mediocre duckling in a pond full of swans.
So glad you’re recapping BiP! I have to say though, I loved David Spades commentary. I never got why Chris Harrison was even there. Having someone on site successfully crack jokes about what is happening works for this series. You’re right in there needing to be a “dad,” and also right that Wells fills that role very well.
He’s got the professional chops for it and has great appeal as host for me. I think he would be an excellent choice. Ben Higgins was the guy I thought would step into the role.

Kenny wasn't naked but he was in a speedo with a fairly large bulge so they black boxed him. There is a quick shot of him on the couch with the guys and you see the American flag speedo then it flashes away and back and he has the black box again. The more impressive feat is having half the cast refer to Kenny as "naked", "totally nude", etc.

For me, David Spade set the bar so high that any other guest host will fall flat. I think the little witty comments add so much to this show. Because let's be real it's trash TV and to have a host who takes the love aspect so seriously is misguided. But David Spade is saying let's call a spade a spade and showcasing the trash. I wish he was the permanent host for paradise. Paradise only.

It is not only the Bachelor & Bachelorette recaps, I love when they answer questions or just share their opinions. Love their sense of humor and poignant observations. I would typically agree with you about Victoria and the five second rule but i think many people saw how she acted on Matt’s season so that’s their first impression. So she has to work to change that
I totally agree about David Spade...I think Wells and Sarah Hyland would be so much better. Wells making drinks talking to people at the bar and Sarah delivering drinks to palapas and talking to people on the beach.
Regarding product placement, I didn't catch the beer until you mentioned it, but last season it was hard to miss Tayshia's turn as "spokesmodel" for Hyundai and they also used the black Hyundai SUV's as the vehicle when people were being eliminated. Maybe this was obvious in previous seasons, but I don't recall seeing the SUV branding in previous years.

I like how Sharleen criticizes guys for not being assertive enough. There's a weird thing where people lie to themselves about everything being equal to the point where the genders should behave the same exact way. The reality is that chicks dig assertive men and it pays major dividends if you're a guy whos assertive.

I am new to this channel and have been enjoying these videos. I'm wondering why Shandy and husband speak as if women are somehow completely incapable of initiating communication with a man? It is scary for any gender to approach a romantic interest, so I don't know why Shandy and husband feel that this burden can only be shouldered by men. I also wonder if less conventionally attractive women have the luxury of waiting to be approached, since "ugly" women may not be able to rely on physical appearance to entice men to initiate conversation. As a gay man, I am so thankful to not be bound by these arbitrary gender rules. I approach men when I am brave/interested enough, or they can approach me. Interest and extraversion may be more appropriate designators of courtship roles, rather than gender. End of rant ha. Thanks for the bachelor content!
