    Thanks for showing us this beauty. My wife and I love Vettes. I have a 64 327 L76 motor 365hp, Muncie close ratio 4 speed, all matching numbers documented 40,100 miles mint. Then our fave cars to drive on the weekends are my 96 coupe, white with red interior, mint, 35k miles, Z51 handling package.. Then wifeys 95 vert. Red with white top. Came with the semi rare ( only 8% ) hard top from the factory. 30k miles Living on the South Carolina Coast we have plenty of nice driving weather and go to most of the local car shows. Note, I put on after market air intakes on the 95 and 96 which really made a huge improvement. Have a great day...

      Thank you for watching! The C4s are definitely a blast to drive, and get reasonable gas mileage too. Sounds like you guys have a couple of beauties too!

    Just makes you wonder the previous owner must’ve thought “man I wish I drove this car more” lol enjoy the car while you can… no point in keeping the mileage low for the next guy

    • @classicreaction5340
      @classicreaction5340  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well I guess you figure in 30 years they put 35k miles on it, which is a little over a thousand miles a year. Here in PA our sports cars are usually put away from October until May so we only get 4-5 months a year to enjoy them.....add in those rainy summer days and it's actually difficult to put more than a thousand miles a year unless you're really driving it daily. At least this car got regular exercise. It's the ones that only have a few miles on them that really never got enjoyed at all.

    • @EJleon96
      @EJleon96 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@classicreaction5340true but still 1k miles a year is very low… even here in Denver with similar weather, at least 2k a year should be achievable. To each their own👍🏽

    There was only one 40th anniversary and that was with the ruby red paint. Every 1993 Corvette had 40th anniversary embroidered into the headrests, but they were not considered anniversary models.

  • @JCMusicwriter
    @JCMusicwriter 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    Nice car but it’s not a 40th Anniversary car. The company that made the seats accidentally put the embroidery on all 1993s and Chevy kept it. It’s been written about.
    A 40th Anniversary car has RPO Z25. They are Ruby Red with all emblems chromed, matching chrome 40th emblems, Ruby Red interior and Ruby Red center caps.
    You could buy the 40th aftermarket emblems from Corvette Central or Ecklers for a while and people put lots of 40th emblems on lots of 1993 cars of all colors. There was no “regular 40th anniversary car”….
    My 1997 Camaro SS has “30th” logos on the seats but it is not a “30th Anniversary Edition”. The anniversary editions have an RPO code and it’s designated on the window sticker and those Camaros were white with orange stripes and white interiors…. Mine is red and not a 30th Camaro…
    Again, nice car but not a 40th anniversary car. If they’re white, black, blue, any color but Ruby Red with a 40th emblem, someone just slapped that on there and is trying to make the car seem like it has something “extra”. It’s a 1993 base Corvette.
    And if it was a stick shift 40th it would be rare… they made less than 1000 with a stick…

    • @classicreaction5340
      @classicreaction5340  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      All I know is, this one sold pretty quickly! I understand that the car isn't one of the actual Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Corvettes, and I mentioned that in the video. Every "regular" 1993 Vette comes with 40th Anniversary embroidery in the seats, and 40th Anniversary specific owner's manual and videotape, so I guess it's a little confusing. The funny thing is, I seem to see more of the actual 40th Anniversary Vettes for sale than I do regular 1993 Vettes for some reason.

    • @JCMusicwriter
      @JCMusicwriter 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      that’s cool the car did well! The videotape and owners manuals can be bought on EBay all day long. That car has chrome Corvette emblems on the hood and fuel door which were only on Ruby Red cars that year. Someone put the chrome emblems and chrome 40th badges on the car. That car came with black hood and fuel door emblems and did not come with 40th badges from the factory.
      The seats on all 1993 Corvettes had the 40th embroidery and it was a mistake from the seat manufacturer. It’s published knowledge and I’ve talked to to people who built these cars about it. The 40th on the seat doesn’t make it a 40th Anniversary car.
      If you see more 40th Anniversary cars for sale it might be because Ruby Red was the most produced color that year but it was a one year only color. 6,749 produced Z25 40th Anniversary Editions. 6-speeds were only around 979 and 6-speed convertibles were around 100. ZR1 40th editions were very rare…. Callaways even more
      When you see a white, black. Bright red, etc car with 40th badges being sold as a 40th anniversary car because it’s a 1993 Corvette, it is not. If you get the window sticker it says no where on it that it’s a 40th Anniversary car (unlike the Z25 optioned cars).
      It’s frustrating to see people constantly thinking every 1993 is a 40th anniversary car. That’s like saying every 1997 Camaro is a 30th anniversary car, even the V6 ones that have “30th” embroidered in the seats like every other one…. That’s meaningless.
      Just like every 2023 C8 Corvette is not a 70th anniversary edition. There’s two colors and badging, but just like the 1993 cars, lots of owners are putting the “70th” badge on their 2023 C8s…
      Nice car but it’s just a 1993 Corvette Base like it says on the original sticker. Anyone can call the Corvette Museum with the VIN and get a copy as well.

    Thanks for showing off your 93. I own a 92 6 speed with 60K miles on it and it shows like new too. The 92 and 93 both used the same engine computer. They are hard to come by nowadays because their motherboards tended to dry out and crack. There are a few rebuilding services out there. I know because I had to have mine rebuilt!
    I like the switches on the engine lights, but I have been thinking of replacing the bulbs with LED's.
    Quick question, but the Corvette image on the information screen above the radio...Is that original or a sticker? I've never seen that before.

  • @CaseTheCorvetteMan
    @CaseTheCorvetteMan 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    They made only ONE type of 40th anniversary Corvette, and as stunning as this car is, it isn't one of them. All 40ths were Ruby Red inside and out, and have the option code Z25.
    Those 40th emblems on the sides are not there from factory on this car, that was only on the Z25 optioned cars, someone added those. All 93s had 40th on the headrests with leather seats regardless of options. The CORVETTE lettering on the rear is also aftermarket. That ugly stick on metal label on the cup holder door is not factory either. Shame someone did that because those cup holder doors are near impossible to find now, and that will destroy the Dulso trying remove it.
    Selective ride control was RPO FX3, Z51 was not available in 1993, it was Z07 that gave the stiffer suspension that year which included FX3. It is reliable if maintained correctly, and it serves a purpose. Certainly not an option i'd specifically chase after these days though, if it is there i continue to maintain it, if it isn't it isn't.
    I see that C68 wasn't fitted to this either, that could be seen as a good thing to some.
    This is simply a regular 93 coupe, albeit a very beautiful one in exceptional condition. A real credit to the owners, clearly been taken care of exactly as it should be. I get a lot through the workshop and it is rare to still see them this good.

    I will never understand what the interest in owing a low mileage car. A vette with maintenance records and mileage showing drivability is worth the money. Garage Queens have so much issues due to breakdown of rubber and plastic parts that you will need to replace anyway. My C6 Z51 has over 100k mi and I am happy to say have been most enjoyable.

    • @classicreaction5340
      @classicreaction5340  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've personally bought and sold quite a few low-mileage classic cars over the years, including Iroc-Zs, Mustang 5.0s, Corvettes, Z28s, etc etc. Most of them were driven sparingly and had over 20k miles on them, and I can say I've never ran into a single issue with any of them regarding rubber or plastic breaking down. Usually the only issues you run into is tires being old, dead batteries, and gasoline going bad in the tank. As long as the car is used sparingly and kept inside, buying a low mile survivor is the closest thing to getting into a time machine you can get.....because you get the same experience you would have gotten when buying the car brand new decades ago.

      A 90s manual will easily outpace the automatic from the same time period. A modern manual will have a tough time keeping up with today's automatics, especially DCTs. Keep in mind that the automatic option for the C4 was a 4-speed that was also found in the astro van. It was not a sporty transmission.

    • @classicreaction5340

      All I know is, the 6 speed is a LOT more fun to drive than the automatic.

    • @JCMusicwriter
      @JCMusicwriter 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The 6-speeds were actually quicker back then. The gearing was much better than the 4-speed auto. The Autos would run a 14.0s in the 1/4 mile and the 6-speeds would run 13.7s
      The 6-speeds had the same Transmission and 3.45 Dana 44 as the ZR1 and could actually run times close to a ZR1 on a course.
      Modern Autos are another story…

      All LT4 cars were equipped with the 6 speed, but LT1s could be either automatic or manual. Plus, the LT4 was only available in the 1996 models.
