    You could also export your files A & B.......... A = Edited/Processed files, B = Original, "All effects/processing off" files, (Simply label them "OG"). Always good to have the Raw Files handy.😎

    Good points that if you've mixed on the MPC, you can really only cut a bit more in the DAW, not bring frequencies back again. However, you could in theory export the stems without the insert effects and while setting built-in synth effects to off, if you really want to leverage the capabilities of the DAW by recreating things like reverbs and delays there instead. Maybe for a masterpiece it might be worth the effort.

    Yo! Nice videos men, very inspiring and minimal, just focused in music vibes🔥.
    I’m working with the MPC Live in standalone mode and i can almost finish all my prods with, but i need a way to export some of my exploded tracks in mono, mostly drum samples and bass, but also monophonic synths etc.
    When I drag the bounced files from MPC in PT (or Ableton, or any other) they are all stereo, and splitting in mono make a loss of about -2db. I really need this tracks in mono to mix them without phasing issues or losing some audio spectrum when it’s played on mono systems.
    In some cases if I have just 6 mono tracks I can recording them directly in a DAW with an audio interface, but if I have more tracks I have to record several times, and there are some sync issues with DAWs and MPC that makes impossible to have a stable clock to sync all these audio files and keep the groove of your MPC session..
    Do you have any idea to achieve this?
    Thanks a lot!! 🔥

    The fact they are already.wav files and you can’t change the midi with the original sounds is not bad imo, forces you to continue with what you got. You can always go back in standalone, sync it with the ableton track and mie some new sequences. Another easy way is taking the wav file and a sound from it and use the sampler in your daw. Btw I always export as ableton set, quick process to do and import it in ableton, but if you use another daw stems are the way to go. For you standalone people you can use a tascam model 12/16/24 put in usb from mpc and you can have 32 tracks (more than the Tascam scan handle lol) this is great wit another midi controller connected to the mpc like the novation launchcontrol xl with filters, fx etc linked and just do a freestyle jam and then cut or arrange the parts you like. So many options😅😅😅

    It’s a monster pain to set up, but I use Jack Audio to send the Mpc’s 32 outs to a 32 input template in my daw. Once I get song mode filled out I just record the beat into my Daw just like the old days. It can be finicky, though.

      I was thinking about going this route as well -I like to run some out board compressors straight out the mpc to shape the drums and give color and I’d assume that’s the only way unless you resampled everything. Anyone have experience with is method Vs exploding.

    • @NinoTritone
      @NinoTritone 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Quick question. I have a method for using the 32 outs in vst mode in studio one easily where it will “render audio” it bounces it down to audio files but this is just digital to digital I believe. I think it ends up similar to drag and drop. (?)
      That said, your method is also digital to digital? I’m trying to hit the converters on way into the interface but I typically use my mpc in controller mode for the additional power. I used to do pmpte and route with a click on old mpcs but only 8 outs at a time.
      Do we still have to do that with modern to hit converters?

My questions are: do I have to turn all midi tracks into audio tracks to do the mixdown? If so, do I have to transform midi into audio in every single sequence or is there a faster way to do it? yeah you can but you might discover a workflow that you are not comfortable with. If you're used to having an entire gig inside one Ableton project then it won't work that way due to sampling time 2gb. I know 2 gb is a lot but.... If separate song and have breaks in between songs giving you time to load a new project then it might work. but try it out before if you can, some people don't like the workflow.

  • @simplatek
    @simplatek 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why use Logic or any other DAW besides MPC 2 Desktop (MPC Controller Mode) if you are gonna lose abilities to further tweak your tracks with original MPC plugins/inserts/effects? I think MPC Live works hand in hand with the MPC 2 Desktop to allow you to compose/mix/master your song within a nice full sized desktop display, not sure what the benefits of Logic/Ableton/ProTools would be besides having more features/stability/popularity/better audio editing tools, etc. I don't know, just my 2 cents, seems like if you stay within Akai MPC world you still get professional sounding mixes and not compromise much.

      it will be the same to work with the mpc software or in standalone, it's the same thing exactly, this applies more for people that like to use software to arrange and mix/master. You can do it all inside the Mpc live without having to go outside, it's more of a preference than anything.

      There's a work around. If your kick is ducking a sample for example and you want to export the sample with the side chain, you have to mute all the tracks beside the kick and the sample. Keep them umuted. On the kick you have to change the stereo output from the default 1, 2 to 3,4 or 5, 6 etc. This way you won't hear the kick but it will stil trigger the side chain on your sample during the export. After that you change back output of the kick to 1, 2.
