dumb question about the elastic: I never see anyone tie it off, how come it doesnt unwrap itself? Does it bite into itself?

Yes it bites in as when you wrap the bait it has to be done under tension. I have never had one come undone 🤙

How to target halibut from shore ? Any tips ???

Hi. What main line do you use?

Depends on the situation faced with. We prefer mono when bait fishing but if we are lure fishing from the shore we will always use braid 🤙
