I used to enjoy commissions a lot, mainly to test out different characters, teams, and builds... Now, I just see it as a chore for a small amount of primogems.

We got Inazuma. Come on. Web events and anniversary theater. Good server capacity all-year round. First-of-its-kind game. After lifely (reflection) Watatsumi and deathly (reflex) Seirai, we already got our big deal. It's the best game any noob could hope to play. Midsummer islands were damn cool, sure. Think about the work they put in there, before getting into inazuma. Give them a break. Peakaboo was simple as well. Getting some hoops in the air, putting up monster spawning locations, and making sure the code is right there with the buffed monsters, but still having the time to introduce the crane's machine, and her dungeon, on top of the present passage of time - that's awesome. Se for treasure hunt. These dailies are similar to Tianqiu valley's bit.

There's no point in exploring when you know exactly what you will get. a few primogems, few 1-4 stars artifact and bunch of exp books. And the next region will be the same. rinse and repeat. honkai impact is also made by mihoyo and its very generous now when it only gave 10 rolls in its first annniversary as well now they give free s ranks and many more rolls. so while i do not support bad rewards i would advice people to sort of just wait and see what happens if enough people speak up then it will change just like it did in honkai
If pgr blew up in global lol then they will consider it.(Unfortunately as a pgr player the game itself is very grindy and not tht casual friendly for ppl who are bad in dodging.
This game's events are becoming "I need to do it" instead of "I want to do it" and it takes out the fun factor because it feels like I'm obligated to do it or I'm not getting a new character. This is also why many players are starting to feel exhausted.
John Hunt you’re missing the point, we love this game and want to continue playing and enjoying it without having to feel exhausted by mihoyos greed. people have been playing since release, putting hours into this game, their money, and mihoyo doesnt seem to care. and then to take into account nearly this whole anniversary was literally just exploiting artists for their own good

I hate when people use the argument "it's better than nothing". Listen... our free time is valuable and there are thousands of other games we can play and it isn't limited to just mobile games. Even if it's a free game, the standard of genshin should be giving us more than another game we could be playing. This expectation should be even higher for the #1 game of the app store for 2021
it IS better than nothing but here's the thing: all of that comes under moonchase. the EVENT moonchase. which should not even be a part of anniversary, like how lantern rite was a separate event on its own with no relation to anything. As an event, moonchase is amazing. But i dont count it to be a part of the anniversary. so to me, the anniversary WAS nothing. there is no "better than nothing", its just nothing.
They could have done so much, like dubble domain rewards, a banner with a 5* guaranteed all 10 wishes and you can wish like 30 times, something with that you can change duplicates in other characters... but the same rewards as the new year rewards
Even double domain rewards, they've done that already with books, they've done double ley lines, double artefact domains wouldn't even be worth it since the odds on those are trash. Even if they did they'd cap it at 3 per day anyway.
None of this is unreasonable except the guaranteed 5-stars lol. but at least a rate up, like 6%-10%. Check out Dragalia Lost's anniversary event going on right now. Free 10 pull every day for 38 days, a day of 100 pulls, POG login bonuses, double drops on farm quests, and 6% on the latest 5-star units. Nintendo goes hard.

The biggest kick in the balls is that even though I play this game loads, when my friends ask me about it, I can't/feel like I shouldn't recommend the game to them. It's becoming increasingly more embarrassing that I spend many hours a week on a game that doesn't appreciate my presence.

Tbh me just hanging out with friends looking for chests has given me more happiness that the actual anniversary itself. The only thing that comes close is maybe Guoba walking or the fish claymore. No need to remember. What they have done is proof that they do not value their playerbase. Your money is better wasted on other games who cares about the opinion of their players. For me at least will stop spending on genshin and try to back off of the game slowly.
The 10 wishes reward reminds me of the HALF anniversary of the Gacha game Revue Starlight, where you can REDO the 10 pulls during 48hrs of the event as much as you want until you got 1-2 SSRs (4 stars) limited characters. And during that time, many players had stayed in the game for more than 6 HOURS just to reroll and find their favorite Stage Girls and Memorial Cards. That's how you can lure your player to increase their playtime.
I don't get why people just don't quit. If players are unhappy with Genshin's gacha freebies, why not play another gacha with better gacha freebies right? Problem with some of these players is that they will attack and shit on players who just enjoy Genshin as a game. They'll start calling others simps, white knights and other nonsense just cause they're upset and others are not.
Finally I got the debate club I've been dreaming for a long time. I can now upgrade my upgrade my prototype rancour using the debate club I've just get from the anniversary event.

Unfortunately mihoyo's business model consists of bringing in new players instead of retaining old players. You can see this because of how hard mihoyo tries to slow down your progress and keep you from reaching the end game because they know that their game has no sustainable content for veteran players.

I have spent close to $20k on Genshin, and have helped a few friends get some 5 star banner characters. MiHoYo couldn't ever really give me anything that would have mattered for the anniversary, but many of my friends would have been OVER THE MOON hyped and happy if they could have gotten that Diluc or Mona that has eluded them over the course of the year with a free 5 star standard character of their choice or a Anniversary Standard 5 star selection banner with 50 free pulls. The free to play players deserve it. Genshin shouldn't be compared to other Gachas. It is better than them and the rewards should reflect that. MiHiYo won't be getting any more money out of me on Genshin. I would have GLADLY kept forking over cash, but free to play players are the lifeblood of this game, and this is a slap in their face. I have also been waiting for an endless dungeon mode or topless tower mode for end game content, but it just isn't there. These terrible and boring events just make things worse. I want some endless combat mode to push my account to it's limits. Where are the raid bosses that reset every 2 or 3 days that could substitute for the boring daily commission rewards to break up that monotony? This game is severely lacking and the anniversary rewards just reinforced how out of touch and non caring MiHoYo is about the state of the game and their players.
If you took time to read the website it was posted on, the page that mentioned anniversary rewards was named *”Anniversary Community Event Rewards”* How can it be misread as “Anniversary Rewards” It was as clear as day as it was referring to a community event celebrating the anniversary.

Yep, also the fact that zhongli was the ONLY character which they gave a rework/buff. Yoimiya, kokomi, qiqi, xinyan, etc need it so badly but it will never happen. Only chinese favorite gets one.
i noticed it when they did their first artist challenge and there the prizes were as pitiful as now. People got angry, they changed it and now they are back to their greedy, asshole ways. feels like all of this was planned. In honkai you get lots of free, cool stuff, while we get shafted. Maybe they really just made genshin as a good looking turd to accumulate metric fucktons of money. Maybe when half the players leave, they just drop development. I dont know, but the signs are bleak
The first hours of me playing this game I was really amazed on the open world of this game, how it was created, amazed at how the elements worked and it I looked at this game as a fun open world adventure game like Zelda, the game gave me a great first impression. But after playing some more and conpleting the quests I now look at this game as a grinding mobile gacha game
I quit the game today after 7 months and hundreds of dollars down the drain. I can't believe it. I'm shocked at the state of the game and how little Mihoyo cares about the community or the game anymore. It hurts but at least I won't have to put up with the anguish, heartache, and pain of seeing the game I love continue to die. It's like Destiny all over again.
Sadly, I can say the same. Time to take a break til’ I hear more content and things get better for the best. As for now, I quit. There’s no way we can go on about this. Mihoyo really blew themselves.
Honestly? The only reward i wanted from the annyversary was something to make me remamber that i was part of it, maybe a skin, maybe a special cake, maybe a special pet, you know, something that from 2~3 years i can go to my inventory and look at it and say "boy, it's being 3 years already"
I totally agree. I would appreciate something outside gacha obsession. Something for fun and special. Freemogems are important in this game, it's just the way it is, but with something like free skin, adding Paimon floating around us and so on, I wouldn't persist on loads of primos.

It's not even about give me all the free stuff, but remind us how grateful as a company you are that we still play your game and put so much time, money, and effort into that game. 1st Anniversary is huge, those little things we can look back on and find special because we were there the 1st year are important to us.
Been buying WM since January, now I have every character in the game that I ever wanted. I don't feel compelled to buy WM anymore. I recently R4'd my Serpent Spine and will buy BP one last time to R5 it. I'm going F2P after that. I do not want to support this company anymore. I'll keep playing for as long as I find it fun.

Voice actors are amazing at their job, normally i don’t prefer english voice acting cause they make it sound very cringy but in genshin they make wonders. Also mihoyo’s graphic team and character design is absolutely flawless. Pretty sure over 95 percent of the genshin community are only upset about the mihoyos stingyness. Also personally in game genshin community is really wholesome. I’ve never seen anyone toxic in game (ar 56 btw). Of course not talking about reddit, discord or twitter. Qiqi isnt that bad, she is a good healer, she mainly only gets a bad rep because she is on the standard banner and allot of people are losing 50/50s and getting her instead of the limited banner character

It's kinda sad when Genshins Anniversary is the equivalent to like a daily log in for some games. Mihoyo definitely has their priorities messed up. When others anniversary events are like 50-100 free pulls at some rare heroes. Here's Mihoyo giving away maybe 100 Primo Gems and that isn't 1 wish.
Other gatcha games does have like 3 times more 5 stars compared to genshin and that makes genshin's characters kinda special to obtain. Maybe that's why they aren't giving free 5 star? Idk

It's strange to say it but I feel used and taken advantage of, this is so upsetting. I get Welkin and BP every month and spent over $200 on Genesis Crystals so far, with plans to spend at least that much on the upcoming reruns but now... I don't think I can give this company any more money. Anniversaries are supposed to be fun and exciting but instead I feel like the wind has been sucked out of the room. It's just feels empty.

Not gonna lie. I used to play genshin like crazy,it was so fun for me at the time and I supported with battle passes and Welkin as best as I could to show I care. However, I did get burnt out. Everyone does so I took a break of course. Then,played it, but not as much. Of course it's gotten to the point where I don't play it much anymore and quit spending . Was going to try my best to get back into and buy battle passes and Welkins again. However, after seeing this and how little they care the delete button looking extremely tempting at this point. Because honestly they don't care,so why should I?
I already made up my mind. I'm not giving Mihoyo one cent until they treat us better. As much as I love this game, I can't support their treatment of players.
i have 2 friends who recommended genshin impact for me last December, they were buying welkin and battle pass each month and they kept playing until Venti's rerun banner, they got bored they quit and deleted the game because there's no end game content

The thing is, seeing how 'big' the moonchase is, they count THAT as a anni reward and nobody can make me think otherwise. It's just repeat of Lantern Festival and they call it job well done. Played since day one, eventually ended up taking a 3 month break recently because of the monotony of daily commissions and the overall low returns given the amount of time spent. The anniversary rewards are the final nail the the coffin really raising the question on whether it’s worth it

I've been a daily Honkai player for nearly 3 years now and that game absolutely nails it on all those accounts, so I still have hope for Genshin, but while it remains not fun, I'm simply not playing it.
Same. Dropped the game towards the beginning of the year. Seeing this video after all that time helped me feel really good about choosing to leave when I did. I'd spent a couple hundred by that point, but I was not getting anything out of it anymore. Eventually happened with every gacha I've played, and am glad I've burned through them dopamine drip apps for good.
no it's true you're right! i really want to like the inazuma story quest, but the way it's written and the way it just fell apart because of them firing the writer for venti and zhongli's story quest just drove it home beside the anniversary rewards disappointment. insane how honkai is thriving even after 5 years of being in the business and genshin is barely hanging on

The fact that mihoyo doesent need to give us 70+ rolls to satisfy us. They could do 4x mora/ exp gain, increase resin for the month,chest respawn, reroll on artifacts like really mihoyo

These "rewards" have officially bumped Genshin out of the #1 spot on my gaming list. I'm actually grateful for it because now I've been playing other games that I've not had a chance to until now due to Genshin.

Fr bro. Ive been playing since day one and ive barely missed any days since the start of the game (ive probably mised about 2 weeks throughout the whole year) and we deadass get nothing. I hate how this is litteraly one of my fav games of all time but the way they treat tgeir consumers is just horrendous bro
They did create a message, it's the Teyvat video they released last week. The problem that I see is miHoYo is creating things and showing their work that the community doesn't want. Personally speaking miHoYo has shown some quality within the last few patches like the release of Inazuma, new areas to explore, events and other permanent stuff. But most players don't see this as miHoYo's appreciation but content a lot of people don't want. The disconnect between the company and the community is what's damaging and making people angry. Most players want summoning currency to feed their gambling dopium instead. Which is the precedent as well as a double edged sword for being a one of a kind Gacha game.

It feels like they want us to see the Moonlight Merriment (specifically the story) as the reward, seeing the characters we like and love interacting to each other and having fun. Basically, they're probably saying the journey we went through in that 1 year was the real reward. Memories we can look back to and feel mixed emotions in the process. Still, it's a gacha game. They should atleast understand what most people want to get, and yet they didn't listen. I don't mean I don't appreciate their work, I do. They release content every 6 weeks, which some are great and some decent, keeping us interested playing their game. Now I'm just being a dummy dumb dumb and spewing things that ain't much of value.

Considering how rare hydro still is (for some fucking reason), Kokomi's reception was tepid and Mona is from the standard banner, he might not immediately get a rerun but unless they introduce another hydro 5 star of nowhere, he will be top pick for a Hydro banner. Maybe it will take 6 banners but he will show up sooner than Kokomi lol. On the other hand Anemo has too many 5 star banners: Kazuha, Xiao, Venti. Kazuha and Venti were recently so I guess Xiao will be the top pick for an Anemo banner. Hopefully Albedo will get a rerun and Zhongli won't get another.
Honestly this Anniversary has just resulted in me regretting that I gave any financial support to this game at all. I'm by no means a whale, I've spent maybe $500, however I planned to continue supporting depending on how things progressed. But I've NEVER played a gacha game this stingy. This entire "celebration" was beyond pathetic, it was insulting. Mihoyo spit in the community's face.

Same. Thankfully my Welkin ran out and I didn't get the BP yet... so, I just won't. I'm going F2P... maybe I'll quit altogether soon. For a long-time player there just isn't any interesting content in the game and STILL no roadmap from mihoyo.
I'm only logging in for the week to get my joke of an anniversary reward, then I'm taking a break from Genshin til something worthwhile comes... which may be when Sumeru releases sometime next year
Issue about this aswell would be the fact that some (not all) players that do quit due to the bad anniv rewards will be toxic towards those who don't quit for continuing to support Mihoyo. Player morale overall will go down and even if the anniv rewards don't make them quit, a few bad luck streaks might just be the boiling point for many due to the already bad feeling of getting nothing from the anniversary.
@Block Lord Nowhere in my post did I "Glorify" greedy gacha tactics. I am talking about the negative effects this anniversary is gonna have on the community as a whole. I am all for the idea that games should reward their players handsomly for their dedication to the game. It seems to me you paid no attention to what I was saying in the OP.
I'll say this: I like this game, I often find myself watching videos about the new characters and events, and abyss clears. I've wanted to start playing the game for a while now, but after this whole debacle, I don't think I want to anymore. Which is crazy, Gacha games usually take advantage of the Anniversary celebrations to attract new players and get old players to come back. Mihoyo is shooting themselves in the foot by being so stingy.
Playing feels like a job, the rewards that you get daily are so small that it takes weeks of farming to get all the boss materials, talents, exp books, mora and weapon materials for a character, so it feels like your goals are even farther away if you skip a day. And artifacts are even worse, I have been spending 360 resin weekly, plus the fragile resin from the BP, for the emblem set since 2.1, and I have 1 decent artifact from the set. Buying BP makes the farming faster because you don't need to farm a lot of mora or exp books, and if you buy BP + Welkin, it's like paying a MMO subscription, but you progress a lot slower than in a MMO, and after spending the resin, that you spend in a few minutes, all you can do is repetitive and even less rewarding than using resin.

People should watch Jimquisition's video about this topic. Games like this mainly gain from and target vulnerable audiences. If they targeted people with good impulse control, they wouldn't be making these stupid amounts.

The VOICE for the all around player base in Genshin Impact, Thankyou Mtashed for being here. This game is addicted af, so I don't think a few botched rewards will hurt the player base. BUT, when more people start waking up too the greed. Who knows, It's really not that hard to maybe throw us a bone once and awhile to play it safe.
I like this game, I've been playing genshin since zhongli's banner and for the most part I enjoyed it. I remember waking up in the morning and couldn't wait to jump in and play the game. It was like getting a new game and being in that kid-state world where I just wanted to have fun and play. I've been playing MANY gacha games and genshin was the first game that I actually spend money cause I REALLY REALLY wanted the characters and the amount of disappointment that I felt because of the anniversary reward is very high. Not only because the lack of it but also because it just seems like the company doesn't care. I've spent money on battle passes, welkins, and even for the genesis pack because I thought that it would be worth it and genshin was going to be a long-lasting game. I wanted to have fun with my friends playing this game but after this? I'm just not sure anymore. Remember that this is only the first year and eventhough we were constantly voicing out our opinions on reddit/twitter, they didn't take action. I don't want to (and I suggest you start thinking the same) spend money on a game that's going to die in the next year or so just because the company is shit because genshin costs a LOT of money. Genshin was a good game at the start, it was hyped, it was different, and I appreciate the idea but if it continues to be this way then I might as well be f2p.
I havent spent money either... the ingame purchases are worth it but the devs really need to take in our voices and give atleast lik 10 free wishes... this login event did happen in 1.3 so there is nothing new to anniversary... imo the reward for moonchase chest hunt is much better than anniversary rewards... I was a supporter of this game, buying Welkin Moons, the Battle Pass, but after these anniversary “rewards”, I don’t feel like Mihoyo appreciates that. I don’t see any thanks for the continued support so many people have given this game, that has made it grow so big so quickly. It’s been a couple weeks now since my Welkin Moon ended and I’m not going to refresh it. Not gonna get the next battle pass either. I don’t feel like our support is being acknowledged. I’m not going to quit, because I do still enjoy the game, but it’s not getting any more money out of me

We got Inazuma. Come on. Web events and anniversary theater. Good server capacity all-year round. First-of-its-kind game. After lifely (reflection) Watatsumi and deathly (reflex) Seirai, we already got our big deal. It's the best game any noob could hope to play.
Midsummer islands were damn cool, sure. Think about the work they put in there, before getting into inazuma. Give them a break.
Peakaboo was simple as well. Getting some hoops in the air, putting up monster spawning locations, and making sure the code is right there with the buffed monsters, but still having the time to introduce the crane's machine, and her dungeon, on top of the present passage of time - that's awesome. Se for treasure hunt. These dailies are similar to Tianqiu valley's bit.

This game's events are becoming "I need to do it" instead of "I want to do it" and it takes out the fun factor because it feels like I'm obligated to do it or I'm not getting a new character. This is also why many players are starting to feel exhausted.

I hate when people use the argument "it's better than nothing". Listen... our free time is valuable and there are thousands of other games we can play and it isn't limited to just mobile games. it IS better than nothing but here's the thing: all of that comes under moonchase. the EVENT moonchase. which should not even be a part of anniversary, like how lantern rite was a separate event on its own with no relation to anything. As an event, moonchase is amazing. But i dont count it to be a part of the anniversary. so to me, the anniversary WAS nothing. there is no "better than nothing", its just nothing.
They could have done so much, like dubble domain rewards, a banner with a 5* guaranteed all 10 wishes and you can wish like 30 times, something with that you can change duplicates in other characters... but the same rewards as the new year rewards

The 10 wishes reward reminds me of the HALF anniversary of the Gacha game Revue Starlight, where you can REDO the 10 pulls during 48hrs of the event as much as you want until you got 1-2 SSRs (4 stars) limited characters. And during that time, many players had stayed in the game for more than 6 HOURS just to reroll and find their favorite Stage Girls and Memorial Cards. That's how you can lure your player to increase their playtime.

I don't get why people just don't quit. If players are unhappy with Genshin's gacha freebies, why not play another gacha with better gacha freebies right? Unfortunately mihoyo's business model consists of bringing in new players instead of retaining old players. I have spent close to $20k on Genshin, and have helped a few friends get some 5 star banner characters. MiHoYo couldn't ever really give me anything that would have mattered for the anniversary, but many of my friends would have been OVER THE MOON hyped and happy if they could have gotten that Diluc or Mona that has eluded them over the course of the year with a free 5 star standard character of their choice or a Anniversary Standard 5 star selection banner with 50 free pulls. The free to play players deserve it. Genshin shouldn't be compared to other Gachas. It is better than them and the rewards should reflect that. MiHiYo won't be getting any more money out of me on Genshin. I would have GLADLY kept forking over cash, but free to play players are the lifeblood of this game, and this is a slap in their face.
I have also been waiting for an endless dungeon mode or topless tower mode for end game content, but it just isn't there. These terrible and boring events just make things worse. I want some endless combat mode to push my account to it's limits. Where are the raid bosses that reset every 2 or 3 days that could substitute for the boring daily commission rewards to break up that monotony?
This game is severely lacking and the anniversary rewards just reinforced how out of touch and non caring MiHoYo is about the state of the game and their players.

The first hours of me playing this game I was really amazed on the open world of this game, how it was created, amazed at how the elements worked and it I looked at this game as a fun open world adventure game like Zelda, the game gave me a great first impression. But after playing some more and conpleting the quests I now look at this game as a grinding mobile gacha game
I quit the game today after 7 months and hundreds of dollars down the drain. I can't believe it. I'm shocked at the state of the game and how little Mihoyo cares about the community or the game anymore. I get Welkin and BP every month and spent over $200 on Genesis Crystals so far, with plans to spend at least that much on the upcoming reruns but now... I've been a daily Honkai player for nearly 3 years now and that game absolutely nails it on all those accounts, so I still have hope for Genshin, but while it remains not fun, I'm simply not playing it.
Same. Dropped the game towards the beginning of the year. Seeing this video after all that time helped me feel really good about choosing to leave when I did. I'd spent a couple hundred by that point, but I was not getting anything out of it anymore. Eventually happened with every gacha I've played, and am glad I've burned through them dopamine drip apps for good.

These "rewards" have officially bumped Genshin out of the #1 spot on my gaming list. I'm actually grateful for it because now I've been playing other games that I've not had a chance to until now due to Genshin.

Fr bro. Ive been playing since day one and ive barely missed any days since the start of the game (ive probably mised about 2 weeks throughout the whole year) and we deadass get nothing. I hate how this is litteraly one of my fav games of all time but the way they treat tgeir consumers is just horrendous bro
They did create a message, it's the Teyvat video they released last week.
The problem that I see is miHoYo is creating things and showing their work that the community doesn't want. Personally speaking miHoYo has shown some quality within the last few patches like the release of Inazuma, new areas to explore, events and other permanent stuff. But most players don't see this as miHoYo's appreciation but content a lot of people don't want. The disconnect between the company and the community is what's damaging and making people angry.
Most players want summoning currency to feed their gambling dopium instead. Which is the precedent as well as a double edged sword for being a one of a kind Gacha game.
@@jzesu9889 I see your point. But it's the anniversary, 1st one at that. It feels like they want us to see the Moonlight Merriment (specifically the story) as the reward, seeing the characters we like and love interacting to each other and having fun.
Basically, they're probably saying the journey we went through in that 1 year was the real reward. Memories we can look back to and feel mixed emotions in the process.
Still, it's a gacha game. They should atleast understand what most people want to get, and yet they didn't listen. I don't mean I don't appreciate their work, I do. They release content every 6 weeks, which some are great and some decent, keeping us interested playing their game.

Considering how rare hydro still is (for some fucking reason), Kokomi's reception was tepid and Mona is from the standard banner, he might not immediately get a rerun but unless they introduce another hydro 5 star of nowhere, he will be top pick for a Hydro banner. Maybe it will take 6 banners but he will show up sooner than Kokomi lol.
On the other hand Anemo has too many 5 star banners: Kazuha, Xiao, Venti. Kazuha and Venti were recently so I guess Xiao will be the top pick for an Anemo banner.
Hopefully Albedo will get a rerun and Zhongli won't get another.
Honestly this Anniversary has just resulted in me regretting that I gave any financial support to this game at all. I'm by no means a whale, I've spent maybe $500, however I planned to continue supporting depending on how things progressed. But I've NEVER played a gacha game this stingy. This entire "celebration" was beyond pathetic, it was insulting. Mihoyo spit in the community's face.

Issue about this aswell would be the fact that some (not all) players that do quit due to the bad anniv rewards will be toxic towards those who don't quit for continuing to support Mihoyo. Player morale overall will go down and even if the anniv rewards don't make them quit, a few bad luck streaks might just be the boiling point for many due to the already bad feeling of getting nothing from the anniversary.

@Block Lord Nowhere in my post did I "Glorify" greedy gacha tactics. I am talking about the negative effects this anniversary is gonna have on the community as a whole. I am all for the idea that games should reward their players handsomly for their dedication to the game. It seems to me you paid no attention to what I was saying in the OP.
I'll say this: I like this game, I often find myself watching videos about the new characters and events, and abyss clears. I've wanted to start playing the game for a while now, but after this whole debacle, I don't think I want to anymore. Which is crazy, Gacha games usually take advantage of the Anniversary celebrations to attract new players and get old players to come back. Mihoyo is shooting themselves in the foot by being so stingy.

Playing feels like a job, the rewards that you get daily are so small that it takes weeks of farming to get all the boss materials, talents, exp books, mora and weapon materials for a character, so it feels like your goals are even farther away if you skip a day. And artifacts are even worse, I have been spending 360 resin weekly, plus the fragile resin from the BP, for the emblem set since 2.1, and I have 1 decent artifact from the set. Buying BP makes the farming faster because you don't need to farm a lot of mora or exp books, and if you buy BP + Welkin, it's like paying a MMO subscription, but you progress a lot slower than in a MMO, and after spending the resin, that you spend in a few minutes, all you can do is repetitive and even less rewarding than using resin.
Shouldve updated the domains. Mats should be farmable everyday, not specific day afters.
Seriously, I was already feeling burnt out and this just made me snap. Done playing this game, it's been a fun ride peeps

The VOICE for the all around player base in Genshin Impact, Thankyou Mtashed for being here. This game is addicted af, so I don't think a few botched rewards will hurt the player base. I like this game, I've been playing genshin since zhongli's banner and for the most part I enjoyed it. I remember waking up in the morning and couldn't wait to jump in and play the game. It was like getting a new game and being in that kid-state world where I just wanted to have fun and play. I've been playing MANY gacha games and genshin was the first game that I actually spend money cause I REALLY REALLY wanted the characters and the amount of disappointment that I felt because of the anniversary reward is very high. Not only because the lack of it but also because it just seems like the company doesn't care. I've spent money on battle passes, welkins, and even for the genesis pack because I thought that it would be worth it and genshin was going to be a long-lasting game. I wanted to have fun with my friends playing this game but after this? I'm just not sure anymore. Remember that this is only the first year and eventhough we were constantly voicing out our opinions on reddit/twitter, they didn't take action. I don't want to (and I suggest you start thinking the same) spend money on a game that's going to die in the next year or so just because the company is shit because genshin costs a LOT of money. Genshin was a good game at the start, it was hyped, it was different, and I appreciate the idea but if it continues to be this way then I might as well be f2p.
I havent spent money either... the ingame purchases are worth it but the devs really need to take in our voices and give atleast lik 10 free wishes... this login event did happen in 1.3 so there is nothing new to anniversary... imo the reward for moonchase chest hunt is much better than anniversary rewards... I think the anniversary reward is indeed the friends who we came across

I was a supporter of this game, buying Welkin Moons, the Battle Pass, but after these anniversary “rewards”, I don’t feel like Mihoyo appreciates that. I don’t see any thanks for the continued support so many people have given this game, that has made it grow so big so quickly. It’s been a couple weeks now since my Welkin Moon ended and I’m not going to refresh it. Not gonna get the next battle pass either. I don’t feel like our support is being acknowledged. I’m not going to quit, because I do still enjoy the game, but it’s not getting any more money out of me
