If a bunch of people stopped playing at least for a while Genshin would do terrible which would make it a game with one of the least profits. They would either have to be more generous or shut down the game. But with more heat it’s just better for them to give us what we deserve. I mean cmon a 5 star standard at least isn’t terrible for 3 years is it?
For those who don't understand Chinese, in the live stream they using 献上(offer) instead of 给(give).
"献上(offer)" is typically used in solemn or special occasions, such as rituals, religious ceremonies, or offerings to authoritative figures, expressing a sense of respect, reverence, or homage. They talk like this is a big deal, letting their fans hype up. Then the next point is, HSR a game from the same company is giving free limited 5 star Dr Ratio. They think Genshin might do something about it, at least a 4 star skin selector. There are alot more than this. To summarize this, Genshin is Stingy, treat their player like dog shit.

you know the worst part? its the fact that for people like me who genuinly love this game seeing it turn out like this, im watching as what became my favourite game slowly turn into a pile of hot garbage before my very eyes, i still love the exploration and lore, which is the main reason imm still playing at this point, since i dont get excited for pulling charecters anymore since i already have 2 strong teams and thats all you need (unlike in HSR where pure fiction has a different meta)

Same thing, just playing for the story and openworld. Pulling for new characters isnt fun anymore cuz im tired of farming new artifact sets (for same reason hsr uninstalled, rng relics no thx). Just play the game, and dont care much about it, same way as hoyo dont care.
Turn out like what? Game's still the same as it's been since release and that would be the one thing to complain about. It's not getting worse for sure and next update brings another new map and story that are probably bigger and longer than the whole Penacony episode.
Now if it's free gambling tickets that get you guys excited and not new content then maybe it's time to move on to HSR indeed.
@@KragV genshin is a gatcha game at the end of the day, and freebies keeps the community happy and shows goodwill. when i first started playing everything was new and exciting but the reason why I say it's turning out like garbage is because, there's no content which warrants my tenuous grind for building charecters anymore, once you have two good teams you're basically set, genshin has an amazing combat system but nowhere to implement it, you know for a fact spiral abyss is not enough anymore. Players want more hard content, that's it. Complaining is not me being negative, when you see the same company treating it's other games so differently, we are bound to take notice
thats the thing the game is getting better story, zone, and character wise Fontaine was literally peak genshin but the rewards and "end game content" just arent changing which most gacha games they get better overtime mainly to keep players coming back but since genshin doesnt have a problem with keeping players they see no problem with being complacent with rewards and end game content.
Chinese here, the dev basically sounds like "ONCE AGAIN,, we will send out 3 intertwined fates via in game mail" the strong word “再次奉上” , as if the dev were saying that giving 3 pulls is considered a big generosity to the players, which obviously enraged the CN community. If you are a Chinese speaker you can tell how insulting that sentence was, it's almost like stepping on your head and spitting in your face. 0 appreciation for the players, literally saying "here's my sh*t, you must be filled with joy to be able to eat it"

CN community actually complained every year for the reward, if you watched the special program and compare the one from 3.4, they had the same line as the 4.4 about the 3 wishes thingy, but Hoyoverse just stayed silence and did not care, the reason why it went crazy this year is because now players have HSR to compare, so those people who used to defend Genshin' back then finally feel the disrespect from the dev. (Also alot of drama happened that cost alot of players quit the game)
I honestly don't think Hoyoverse gonna do anything about this drama cuz it almost never happened before ( the one time because of ZhongLi but that was because Hoyo wasn't a big company like right now, they couldn't lose the playerbase and also the archon of LiYue = the reputation for Chinese Culture thing) Genshin player (including me) probably just gonna have to suck it up.

I think the answer to why now, may be because Star Rail has been receiving a ton of love lately, Honkai Impact had even gotten a part two, and Wuthering Waves hit it out of the park with their livestream. With so many comparisons as of late, a large part of the fan base may have boiled over. Of course that's just a theory.

It's hilarious, some posts in hoyolab saying "who needs a 5 star when we these QoL updates" "give me more of these QoL updates and I'll be happy", like bro, QoL updates are the bare minimum in a ongoing game, rewards are necessary to keep the entire playerbase happy. It's a way to celebrate the game's success. 10 pulls is barely scratching the surface. 3 pulls for 3 years is nothing. I would've liked it better to have the 4 star selector during the first anniv, 5 star selector every succeeding year and a bunch of other in-game rewards during lantern rite PLUS the number of QoL we've been asking for since year 1, like actual artifact loadouts that can be saved and loaded to other characters, a resin reserve for those who don't play as much but still want to get a ton of value whenever they do log in, and a bunch of other things that MAKE SENSE. and while they're at it, why not add a feature in teapot where you can outright just build stuff from the editor, instead of having to go back and forth from editor to tubby just to craft stuff. I'll prolly just make a video about this later on. Sorry to rant in your reply. The game could be so much more, but hoyo is just throwing the chance away.

In genshin there are double and triple reactions, as well as various combinations of units, this certainly cannot be called simple gameplay. and some bosses, like the final world boss, have cool designs. in general, the discussion is pointless, if you played nikke, then you should understand that comparing a full-fledged game with an open beautiful world with nikke is simply ridiculous. hatred must be reasonable

HI3rd only started getting relatively good rewards around 3rd anniversary, maybe they were keeping an eye on that, but Lantern Rite is also Genshin's CNY celebration. Many of these Genshin CCs play a huge role in the toxic positivity of the Genshin community. Not all Genshin CCs are bad, but not speaking up and calling out the BS from Hoyoverse and from the Genshin community when it’s absolutely necessary is ridiculous.
Alot of genshin cc especially big ones are contracted by genshin for hush hush money genshin literally pulled a ccp china on them they are contractually bound to not say anything bad about genshin.

The Genshin team have to be the most tone deaf and ungenerous devs in the industry. It’s really crazy how the Genshin community barely doesn’t speak up about how badly the Genshin devs treat their players and their concerns with the game.
Gacha smack, my man, my G. I think my theory is that the reason why Genshin is in this state is because the game has no competitor. TOF, or "The Genshin Killer," is a failure of a game, so Hoyo has felt so comfortable with Genshin for the last 3 years, while Star Rail is a turn-based RPG that has many competitors. Star Rail's rewards and gifts are intended to win over audiences who are diehard fans of turn-based RPGs, which works. It's just a sad reality for Genshin players (including me). I look forward to the Star Rail 2.0 Penacony update.

I just deleted genshin off all devices #3yearsfor3wishes
I am a day 1 genshin player who spent alot of money until they released the dev notes that end game was not a thing and they further spat in our faces by releasing hyperbloom which killed the combat and elemental system intricacies completely and made any artifact farming that many players spent hours on even money with resin refreshes feel like nothing. Honestly my friend quit week 1 and how I wish that I followed.
I think the big problem here why content creators espacially don't speak up on these issues is that Hoyo acts like a mob boss and punishes those that dare to talk negatively about their products. CC's enjoyy huge benefits when they maintain a positive relationship with Hoyo, like access to test server and the ability release videos for upcoming content hours before the content actually goes live. They have created an ecosystem of always positive yes-man and ball-lickers. Dissatisfaction isn't allowed.

I remember back then that genshin players assumed that HSR are dying because its boring (to them) and its turn based game, but now it turns out that hoyo treats honkai better than genshin with their playerbase. Whats sad about this is that when genshin players who supported the game from day 1 were asking for more rewards they got bashed by the genshin knights for being demanding. What makes me sad is that this will probably be forgotten next week when the new patch comes out. Most genshin players are so casual that they probably don't care at all. Not to mention the people who still kiss up to hoyo, saying we shouldn't complain, that it's just a game. Even the content creators I watched seemed really enthusiastic about a patch that isn't any different from the last three years (new area + lantern rite story and minigames). I'm kinda suprised how less enthusiastic I am from when I started genshin to now. It's a shame that genshin keeps showing how lazy it is (no end game, no permanent gamemodes, little improvement of QOL) when it has so much potential. It's frusterating as someone who likes genshin.

I feel scammed by Hoyoverse. Went to the live concert in Düsseldorf for ~120€ hoping for an experience even better than the benefit concert in Vienna, which costs 5-25€ and can't help but feel utterly disappointed. You probably would expect there to be a couple of traditional japanese, chinese and other cultural instruments like the Koto, Erhu or Sitar a well as a choir to be there at this price point, but they only had a Guzheng for the music of Liyue and Inazuma. I would say that the main appeal and essence of Genshins music was almost completely missing. I heard that except the one in Shanhai, every other concert had the same instrumental setup and list of songs as in Düsseldorf. Compared to this, the concert in the golden hall in Vienna was way more worth it. They had every traditional instrument you would expect for Genshins music, even a massive choir. From the very beginning, I felt emotional during almost every piece of music, which does not happen that often. I almost shed tears at the beginning when they played the main theme as you log in to the game. As an encore they played the winter nights lazzo. I haven't even mentioned that all of the performers in Vienna were hobbyists who volunteered to perform, so they didn't even get paid for it. Their passion for music shines brighter than anything I've seen in Düsseldorf. I'm not going to blame the performers for the poor experience thought, but the producer and manager of the Genshin concerts as they are the ones making the final decision. Just like that I don't blame the game devs but the producer and manager of Genshin Impact for making the poor decision of only giving away 3 wishes during the lantern rite festival. It feels like an insult to us all. They are pretty much spitting on our faces while expecting us to be grateful. If they where to ever organise another live concert, I'm wouldn't go there again even if they'd pay me for it. It's just a waste of time. The concert in Düsseldorf is easily forgettable and the only thing I remember is the feeling of DISAPPOINTMENT.

As someone that played HSR/Genshin since they first dropped, I do want to mention that there was a buzz and idea that the third year anny would be the first good one, because supposedly, Honkai Impact 3rd, which was previously their star child that could do no wrong, did not have a 'good' anny by gacha standards until the third year. Now I only heard a few people talking about that AT THE TIME of the first anny, so it leads me to believe that it's not like a huge thing, but it may also be bigger on the CN side, since they also had a legitimate assassination attempt on the CEO over bunny girl skins for some characters in HI3rd.
God I remember that time when people were defending GI first anniversary with, "well akshually...." When even compared with the 1st year anniversary of Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin's first year anni was worse then that. It was only due to people being pissed that 10 pulls were given out along w/ iirc what was previously leaked to be a paid bundle (Glider Wings). Considering that first sign, I didn't believe they would do right by Genshin on year 3 and lo & behold. (Though correct me if I'm wrong on some details, it has admittedly been a long time since I've actually played Genshin due to how they treat the playerbase.)

funny enough that the 3rd year of Honkai were the time the producer was changed to Dawei while the previous producer moving to working on Genshin, and now Dawei is also producing HSR so I guess we can see the pattern
Lantern rite isn't the Genshin anniversary, the anniversary already passed. Load outs and potential skin selectors would of been specifically for lantern rite which is Chinese new years.@@Lew98765

Pretty sure the reason CN took this lying down until now is because this was the first aniverssary since Free Dr.Ratio. Once you see a game by the same dev get that kind of treatament, even people that defended them in the past would start changing sides and get pissed off. Actually, i think the real catalyst was a rumor being thrown about by numerous leakers. They said there would be a Skin selector for 5 star characters. When they saw that it wasn't there, and in it's place was a joke of comment about getting 3 wishes for years of loyalty. A lot of CN players snapped. All that being said, no one gets tortured watching Genshin programs. Genshin has only improved over the years, even if their rewards haven't... 🤷
