as heard in new dreamy song ‘silk’ by shoegaze band violet oscillation, dreamgazer is the pedal partners signature shoegaze reverb pedal, which holds the sound of sweet nostalgia & encompasses vintage charisma reminiscent of the rack units that shaped the sound of the early shoegaze scene. finally, the essence of 90s shoegaze captured in a pedal. slow(dive) into the dreamlike depths of nostalgic ambience with dreamgazer.
dreamgazer features three reverb patches:
- blossom (blossoming shoegaze reverse reverb)
- reverse (shoegaze reverse reverb)
- shallower (12 bit lofi ambience)
blossom & reverse patches were inspired by our favourite vintage sounds from 80s & 90s shoegaze rack units.
dreamgazer features carefully thought out features especially for shoegazers:
- soft nostalgia shoegaze modulation (available in every mode, including with reverse reverb!)
- 12 bit operation means the pedal is authentically lofi, with the gems of our ‘shoegaze secrets’ series typically being 8-16 bit
- sample rate control allows you to create shoegaze swirls while changing the effect fidelity & time
- blend allows you to access full wet reverse, blossom & shallower reverbs
- vintage engineering = each pedal is built from the ground up, no modern dsps but discrete signal paths. an analog path with pre-emphasis, low pass filtering, compression, before any digital processing.

While I've heard quite a few reverse reverb pedals, none of them sound as close to the "bloom" mode on the Midiverb 2, which is one of my favorite sounds. Also, the soft nostalgia chorus makes everything sound like an old Slowdive demo. Congrats on the release!

that sounds better than my midiverb 2 into my spx 90, I've been subscribed to you for years and I have to admit, you guys have really outdone yourself with this pedal, I could do an entire show or album with just this and the violet oscillation, will try to get on the second production run.

thanks for noticing! yes, we're very detail focused people - both us & maneco labs. maneco gave us the time to perfect the reverb patches to our liking & what we know our fellow shoegazers are after. a lot of features & engineering to explore with this one, just quickly, to add to that blend goes full wet for perfect reverse reverbs. blossom is an amazing mode, the classic shoegaze reverb patch, so rich & full, add the soft nostalgia modulation & wow 🌊

@@natethebesttt yeah, so whenever you use like essentially most if not all reverse reverb pedals, you have to play everything like 2 beats ahead in order for it to be in time with the rest of the song, it’s super annoying and makes the effect completely unusable live, but this pedal (from what i can tell) makes it so the reverse reverb can be in time as soon as you hit the guitar strings

I just got the CB Carbide (like Boss HM2) but I really like and suggest the EQD Zoar at 18 volts especially into an EQD Hizumitas Fuzz. Massive tones slamming into front end of Dark Terror Orange into 4x12 or Rolands 120 or 77. Almost like stone rock doom fuzz and desert tones. Which is funny to me since an old hs friend, who gave me first guitar lessons, is in QOTSA and some Jack White projects.
Definately agree with you & Paige, I have a huge problem with tracking and latency with reverses. Especially with rhythmic parts.

But to be fair I never tried your pedal or the Danelectro BackTalk or the Walrus BL-8675309...just rvs settings on old TC Transitions (like Flashback v1) and Digitech Digi delay.

This interesting, originally I was using a loomer to get a slowdive sound and a jma early reflection reverse reverb to get my mbv sound, this pedal seems like it can do both of those sounds. Just signed up to the mailing list haha

Im not really a shoegazer but more of an ambient Soundscapes Musician..I think this would be a good addition to my pedalboard..The design is gorgeous..
I have a few lo fi ambient pedals ..the Walrus Audio Lore is my favourite,a magical pedal just like this one....
i enjoy creating ambient soundscapes & this pedal is great to do so. i think you'll really love blossom mode with the soft nostalgia modulation. you can also do really interesting things with the sample rate which i haven't heard on any other pedal. we restock on the 27th ☺️✨

okay how about this: it's a lofi pedal with shoegaze modulation that also has some added reverb & by "some" i mean three reverbs, so A LOT of added reverb, best i can do

a big part of this pedal was making something more adjustable than rack units & other reverse reverbs. as paige was saying in the video, we love rack units but they lack flexibility. not mention, you can blend all of the modes here (blossom reverb, reverse reverb & shallower reverb) with the classic shoegaze soft nostalgia modulation, which you can't do with anything else - *blossom+soft nostalgia* is just wow. i think dreamgazer has finally made our rack units obsolete 😂
