It may be 90s but they still fit to the 2000s and even todays music nothing will be the same in todays generation of music i have all 80s 90s and even 2000s to me 2000s was the beginning of the end of great music
Tgat happens when you hear that songs by friends, but your own interest of music another genre. Like when you don't watch tv but you're aware of some tv shows because your friends talk about it.
I knew all the songs but honestly wish I didn't for 90% of them, I pretty much exclusively listened to metal and hard rock at the time and only knew these songs because of how over played they all were on every music channel and radio station and how friends would constantly put them on. Paramore and sum 41 are the only ones on the list I would actually choose to listen to and even then only some of their songs.
If you're a METALhead, doesn't necessarily mean you're into (or remember) these (admittedly iconic) ALT ROCK songs. Different genres. Didn't know half of these, but I own and have listened to ~250 metal CDs and know about 80% of them front to back (yeah, CDs -- I'm a 30-year old boomer lol).
I’m guessing Rex is NOT a pop punk fan? Not knowing BASKET CASE of all Green Day songs is WILD. He likely has a wealth of knowledge on metal though, so it’s okay🥲
Okay, SO, I KNOW all of these songs, I don't know ALL the words to all of them, but, all of these songs are very FAMILIAR with me. I have heard all these songs growing up. I am now 42 years old. I am DEFINITELY a 90"s - 2000's kid!
Love Rex's face when he is like " yeah...I know that one...wish I didn't " lol me too brother. I Knew all of those songs and all those bands and liked none of them except for paramore. And they were played CONSTANTLY.
Basket Case was released in 1994
@@godofmischief716 pretty close dont you think
@@maximecharette662 no, 6 years is not pretty close.
If you say so @@elliottwood2814
@@maximecharette662pretty simple rounding isn’t it? 94 doesn’t even remotely round up. Try again
@@maximecharette662no it’s a 90s song not 2000s.
Basket Case is from 94 and All The Small Things is 99
All The Small Things came out in September '99, and peaked at #6 on the billboard modern rock tracks chart in 2000. I'd let that one slide.
@@Pig_Man06 all the small things was released in January 2000
@@myth8334 Enema of The State (the album All The Small Things was released on) came out June 1st 99 champ
True, but they stayed popular enough through the 2000s to count
@@bradyknowzbest1149 1. This argument doesn't apply to Basket Case 2. "These 2000's rock songs" mean released in 2000-2009
The girl with the blonde in her hair, she put her whole heart in to singing these 🫡👏
Not knowing Green Day, Good Charlotte, or Yelliwcard is criminal😊
Like thats not even possible
Extremely!!

The reason he doesn't know Green Day is because... maybe he's an alien.
Yeah, I went through a phase of turning the shit off as fast as possible if it starting playing.

Lol Rex going back and forth is funny
That phase is called "Listening to the radio." 😂
And like everyone says, you can have All the Small Things but Basket Case is mid-90s.
Lol remember them all and still listening to them now 😂
Got them all!
I know all of them best music
Every kid born in the early 90s knows these songs. No phase was needed - it’s called good music
When you're so tall you need to lean forward so the dude in the background can even be seen. Lol.

Remembering the songs and forgetting the rest of the shorts was strong.
Only know them from radio stations and movies. Never have and never will buy any. Now, if you threw on some Motorhead, I can party to that.

What the hell has the rocker boy wannabe been listening to? How do you not know ALL of these songs? Same genre, same time frame
Tgat happens when you hear that songs by friends, but your own interest of music another genre.
Like when you don't watch tv but you're aware of some tv shows because your friends talk about it.
There were other genres of music in the early 2000's
I was listening to Spanish rap, industrial and nu metal and Spanish punk rock

So, the phase was called being a teenager when MTV still spent 30% of their air time on music, and only 70% on reality TV.
I probably heard all of them but 5 or 6 of them speak to me
I'm confused you said on one video you don't like blink 182 but yet you're jamming out to a song on this one
