For the most part this is right @8:05: But -Slash is good on a select few Primary/ Secondary weapons. Those select few weapons should have very high slash weighting like (70% or more), with high status chance, high fire rate/multishot and lower base damage per shot. This is because these weapons produce very weak bleeds and weighting the procs to pure elemental statuses with bonuses will provide a MUCH larger damage increase since they already proc so much status. Example: Kuva Kohm or Akjagara Prime. I would avoid -Slash on melees entirely as they have too much base damage for it to hardly ever be a good negative within the class. & I would only venture into negative slash builds if you’re very comfortable with riven builds. Very informative video overall thumbs up.

NP hope I don’t sound like I’m nitpicking, I only said something just incase someone rolls a good riven they think might be trash but actually is a hidden gem. Someone rolled a +Fire Rate +Multishot -Slash Kohm riven the other day, and was told the roll was bad so they rolled over it, when in reality that’s one of the best possible rolls you can have on the weapon. And this situation reminded me of that XD.

In my experience if your weapon has a riven disposition of 1 dot, then most of the time unless you have a god roll it is not worth using a riven unless off course the riven is fulfilling the work of 2 mods atleast. Modding is already tighter on most of the powerful weapons, so even a bane mod is 90% more damage than a riven with bad dispo.
100% agreed ^^. Tho bane is better by far than any other mod damage wise so I dont know how fair this statement is 🤣. Usually you just swap out serration for a bane but since we are in the "circuit meta" I just have at least 2 setups per weapon, with and without bane.
A bane makes no sense in circuit and once the weapon is a critical weapon and built for crit then if your riven has 3 positives 1 negative with cd and ms its good. Once the riven is a really good roll its good.
@@stefanlewis7773 You rly dont know how banes work right? 🤣 You should have baneless setups for circuit and setups with banes for other content if you want to do max damage, ain't no world where you are losing damage for slotting a bane. @@alextreme444 you really don't know how circuit works do you? Circuit spawns both corpus and grineer so unless you have a corpus/grineer bane I suggest you think before you comment or post. Your knowledge is already inadequate as it is with some of the bad suggestions you made like removing crit dmg if you have a crit dmg roll on your riven when that is on of the most important stats.

Realististically, no riven is worth more than about 500p. But people will still try and sell rivens for 5k. Do not buy rivens thinking they will make that much difference to your game. People who brag about getting to level cap without a Riven are idiots. You do not need them. You will also end up with hundreds of the damn things the more you play. Also, do not pay more than a few hundred plat for a Riven with a 1/5 disposition. At that point they almost become detrimental to your build, and often just take up a mod slot. Theres also a sweaty riven mafia in warframe who try and buy up the market and inflate prices. Try to avoid these guys, if you are buying a riven and you get a guy link 4/5 rivens for the same gun with good rolls, just ignore them.

I believe you can sell any meta riven with good price as long as the roll is good, I also believe there is more than 5 meta rivens xD but yeah the ridiculous pricings come from trade chat, that's why I said specifically not to buy rivens from there
Riven market or Warframe market they are both fine ^^, you can find the "Contracts" option on the warframe market and post your rivens there. I also never said you shouldn't SELL rivens there but just don't buy them cause people make ridiculous prices XD
I use a + dmg + multi -crit damage riven on bubonico, mostly bc the alt fire has a dumpy 3% crit chance so going all in on that and stacking status and damage in lieu of crit minimizes the negative. Most other guns, i'd probably reroll.
I tested removing hornet strike instead and ended up losing dmg or it was unnoticeable diff, actually not sure why, regardless in the build I use it for it does like 120m to level cap demo so I think it's enough XD
It's a very specific build without multishot even apart from the riven, in many other examples replacing hornet strike would probably wield in more dmg. But hey warframe do be weird sometimes
It's all in description friend ^^ You trade slivers weekly from the npc at Iron wake earth. Or do sorties and archon hunts for a chance to get them, also possible to get them from steelpath circuit.
@@alextreme444 You can also get a riven mod for completing Enter Nihil's Oubliette (sold in Nightwave store) after you've earned the Vitrica. It does require you to also have the Nihil's Oubliette decoration so the upfront cost can be a bit steep for newer players.
I have 5 of them xD 1. Triple Umbra with eclipse for till like 500 lvl SP str and dura. 2. Rolling guard, brief respite + xata whisper for level cap 3. Speed build 4. Profit taker build full str and some tankiness 5. Chakram augment build basically stack 4 2 and one shots everything.
Rivens are pretty much useless and become a monthly expense unless you're a cut throat trader in trade chat. Just like the other thousands of undercutting gougers.

Riven is a champion in League of Legends. In Warframe a "riven mod" (with proper stats) does god tier damage to end game enemies.

My best riven was a Rubico multishot 87%, crit dmg 67% but -87% against Corpus.
That was my best Rubico riven
Completely fine for eidolons for example since they are sentients ^^
