How's it holding up?
Same. My microphone starting being problematic tho and I frequently need to restart the phone for the mic to work again. And it kinda starting lagging. But it's beem 4 years and I spend a ton of time on my phone. I'm lost looking for something that can give the same performance while still having the same battery and a 3.5 jack.
I watch this video on my a71 5G and I still like this phone. Even if it 4 years old.

This phone is 1000% worth it! No problems with that phone.
I've owned the A71 since it's release. It's good for most things you'll do. However multitasking can really slow the phone due to RAM restraints. It becomes more evident when using "secure folder" the phone can slow down quite a bit. However if simple web browsing and general activities is what you're wanting then it's fine.
Love this phone since 2021. Only thing I'm worried about now, is that this phone is not eligible for the new updates Android UI 6.1. So time to start looking 😔
Wish they didn't discontinue the A series.
A71 still rocking.. have it for last 4 years and still loving it. Only thing its mic has some issues after every update and it sorts out after some time. Rest of that its an awesome device still❤
I hate how underrated is. I think is still an amazing phone and works perfectly in general (I have it since 2021)
I have an A71nca main phone from 2020 and it works for me without any problem in 2024. What is true is that I use it for usual tasks, social media, tiktok, calls, internet and occasionally play games and it does its job, I don't encounter any problems
mine still working decently no issue at all, its really depends on a user if he/she's not good at keeping such gadget in good condition also im not a heavy gamer too so outdated processor isn't bothering me at all.
I still have my a71 5G. Good phone for the average user honestly
Mine also worth it but the only issue is with the mic, sometime not response i have to restart the phone and everything work well, the only regret was the phone are not compatible with 5g
This is the best phone ever made by Samsung and that is why Samsung cancelled the A70+ line as it competed with its S line! I have had this phone since 2020 but the main reason I want to replace is is because it is not 5G and it does not have eSim. But the main reason I could not buy a new phone is that phone prices are really high now! you can buy 2 laptops for the price of one phone!
Mine is working perfectly, battery life is 85%.
My only problem is not reading my SD card.
4 years and still going strong.
So I went through airtalk wireless right and my application got approved and this is actually the phone I picked and judging by this video it looks like I made a good choice I mean it's not the fastest anymore but it's still plenty capable can't wait to get mine in the mail

my A70 has just died, so i have ordered an A71, upgrade? as i think for what it is, it is a good phone, does for me, for now.
Well its been almost 4 years and the display has changed ... The home screen which used to be totally black except for the finger print scanner which glows green is now reddish brown .. i checked and this seems to be a problem with this model ..
Love my A71 been a beast for 4 years but looking for a new upgrade. Don’t care about brand but is there any mid range price with better camera, battery, and memory I can upgrade to replace my a71?
I have used & owned 12 different Samsung & 6 other Android phones, from budget to flagship, and the A71 was my daily driver for 4yrs, up until I got the A54 5g recently- and I still think the A71 is my FAV PHONE EVER as far as user experience. The battery on it still lasts most the day with constant use, and seems to have less issues than my new A54!
how big of an upgrade is the A54 from the A71? My A71 still works fine but starting to slow down just a tiny bit....is it worth the upgrade?
@CP4Z167 If I could go back, I think I would either get the S23 FE instead, or wait for the S22 or S23 flagship to come down enough in price. You may be happier than I am with the A54, but I find its battery doesn't last as long & it overheats easily & gets laggy just from browsing Twitter or other socials while watching or listening to TH-cam. I think if I could have gotten a A72 or A73 5g for $250 or less, I'd have done that, because I trust that line to be what I need lately...
@@BernicePanders ok thanks for the honest feedback. I was 50/50 on the upgrade but it doesn't sound like the A54 moves the needle enough for me. Besides the S22/S23 do you know any other good upgrades to consider? I'm researching outside of Samsung and the pixel 8 or nothing 2 might be on my radar...but not sure if I want to leave samsung just yet
@CP4Z167 I have a Pixel 6 pro I got just to use for a vlogging camera, but to be honest I think the Pixel is a bit overrated & have heard that the S22/23 ultra have just as good or better cameras than a Pixel 7/8. I would 1000% get an S24 Ultra if I could afford one, because I'm a sucker for the bigger almost bezelless square edge screen, the cameras & the stylus Samsung added to it, they have had since S22 ultra, so maybe upgrading to the ultra is better for those reasons, plus they are much bigger than the regular S22/23, so depends on your preference.
@@BernicePanders I see I see I will look into the S series for sure. Good point about price, I'm super frugal myself lol. The A71 pricepoint worked out perfect . I did the math and it worked out to about 0.30 cents/day for use so far which is pretty amazing value. S24 ultra would be so nice, but at that price it would add so much pressure for me take good care of it, keep it for at least 3 years/not lose it/not think of buying a new phone for a while haha... Do you know what would the equvialent of this gen's A71 in terms of value/best bang for buck? Or was the A71 an outlier for that generation....

This phone is currently my daily driver.
But my phone has a display issue
After android 13 update, my phone still working but often the display screen went black still alarm rang and I attended the call by clicking volume up button. which means I can't see anything but hear the sound.
I went samsung service center they changed my display worth 8000 INR
same for me but i didn't change i bought A73 and now i am thinking to change the disply
It’s good phone I only had some problems with the mic after it fall down times but for around three years it’s so good look like new and updated
Would be worth it. If it wasn't for the screen problems. Start to get lines on it. I only recently fixed the screen. I didn't had a functional phone for over a year. Because I couldn't use the screen. Too many lines. But everything else is cool.
