Hey, DGG! Thanks so much. I love it when you come in & your comments are so supportive! I just started a newsletter on Kit, too. It's linked here but I'll put out a notice in the Community. It's kind of fun! Hope you & yours are doing well!
@@shearfunsewing Things are going ok. I had to step away from TH-cam for a bit. My mother is 83, a widow, and she has dementia. I spent 3 months moving her from east coast to Arizona. I spend several hours per day taking care of her to make sure she has her meds, food and taking her to DR appts. I hope to get back to a steady state once things settle down (But it's been 5 months) since we got here, and it's still so much work each day. I'm an only child though so I just need to do this right now.
@@DiabeticGameGuy Yes, I know because you shared that with me about your mom. My mom had dementia too & I know how much you & your wife will be helping her. It is so loving & caring of you both. We should catch up, eh! It's so incredibly nice to hear from you!
Thanks for the fabric guides and I just signed up for your newsletter. Do you recommend washing all gentle fabrics by hand or can some of them go into a machine? Is it different for your sewing fabrics versus your clothing?
Glad you got the fabric care charts!! Washing by hand is fine for many garments, but not all. Like swede, fur & formal items. If there's no tag & you aren't sure, check a fabric care book to identify it (my current one is from the library!), bring it to a local dry cleaner to ask them to help you identify it, or if really keen, you can even do a burn test.

This was great, Robin! Loved it! And thanks for fabric charts, too. I think they will be really handy as I'm always wondering about my fabrics.
Me too, Annie! That's why I broke down & created the fabric charts to help me so I'll stop making mistakes. Let me know if they help!
Wow, I love all the B-Roll. Your growth as a content creator has been awesome! Hope you're doing well.
