I do not receive affiliate links or sponsorship from Lekala. I did the review because I believe that the software is a really helpful tool for beginning to advanced sewists who enjoy trying online sewing pattern software. Please let me know if you enjoy the program!

First, I am so excited with Lekala. I told my wife about it. She is just beginning sewing, and the free patterns may make her feel comfortable trying them. For fabric, she's just practicing on some old sheets that we'd be giving to Good Will.
Second, thanks for the tip of Wonderful Ida. Based on your recommendation, I've subbed to her channel. I have the playlist pulled up that you suggested, but I haven't started it yet. I'm working on my videos for the Amazon Influencer Program. I try to keep my learning time at the end of the day as a reward when I complete my other todo items.
Third, I see what you mean with descript eye tracking. The next time I open that tool, I'll see if I can get it working.

Hi DGG! I'm so glad you liked this video and that it will help your wife with her sewing. One suggestion - I think she should start with beginner patterns (she can find the easy ratings as I've pointed out in this video and can filter for beginner, easy). One thing I hope Lekala improves is their customer service line - they do reply, and they are very nice, but they could still improve a little with English, so if you are a beginner, that's why it is best to start easy. If your wife begins with the beginner level, it will work out for her (and there are free beginner level patterns, too!) There are members on the program that field questions too in the community section. And LOL, I have other helpful sources too ;-) The patterns are magnificent, actually, and a real bargain, which is why Lekala is so popular. Using old sheets for sewing is great - very sustainable. I use them too and I often refashion outfits (I've included some links to my refashioned garment patterns in my pinned comment, above) - I like the sustainability of it all. Wonderful Ida - a.k.a. Ida Cummings - a Canadian with a heart of gold and a top-notch videographer - I took a course from her - she is a marvelous teacher - her whole channel is great and she subscribed here at my channel (what a sweetie). She really knows her lighting, too. And her zoom playlist is amazing. She's doing a lot on reels right now. The Amazon influencer program seems like a really good idea! Let me know what you think of the Descript eye tracker. I find it fascinating! Good to hear from you, my friend!

I just registered today at the Lekala site and I just subscribed to your site. I need to start measuring myself but not looking forward to it because it’s so very cold. Are you able to send these patterns to a print shop to be printed?

Hi Victoria! Thanks for your question and for subscribing! Yes, you can send the patterns to a print shop. I have a video on how to download and print a PDF pattern. It’s actually a Lekala pattern that I am referring to. Just choose the appropriate size you need!
