I’ve been so happy to see you watch this show. It’s my ultimate comfort series. The only thing I have to say is yes with the kakwet story (I’m sorry i probably spelt her name wrong) unfortunately it is a very accurate ending to her and her family’s story. It is likely that kakwet never would have seen her parents again or even lost her life. It’s possible that her parents were arrested or even had their lives taken aswell. It is said that over 4000 Indigenous children died in residential schools across Canada with the last school to closing in 1997. I love that they had indigenous representation in this show and put a light on the cultural genocide that continues to have long lasting effects on families across Canada.
The actress who plays Marilla was in a great miniseries The jewel in the crown . Takes place in India during the British pulling out. Heavy topics through out but she is young and beautiful and strong and plays one of the more level headed good characters. She also plays 5he queen in the downton Abby movie where the king and queen come to visit. 🙂
If you enjoy reading I think you would LOVE the books. While a lot of our favourite characters (Bash, Cole, Jerry :,( ) are missing, there are so many characters we don't get to see in the TV show and it's such a comfort read for me.
They didn't know they were getting canceled. There are so many books. They found after filming is why is was not fully resolved. They were hoping another channel would pick it up. But no one did 😢
I can watch the show over again, I have and do, but getting to review it with your thoughtful insights was the next best thing to watching it for the first time again.
Yeah, they didn’t know the show was gonna get cancelled. The showrunner planned for 5 seasons in total. Anne’s college years are my faves from the book series, so I was looking forward to seeing that get adapted. And they really only got to like Book 1. Also, re: Ka’kwet in the last episode, Anne packs her hair ties with her to Queen’s, very subtle moment. But yeah, Ka’kwet’s storyline ends how you described, which was the reality of residential schools for indigenous people sadly.
girl, i cannot believe this is it🥹 just like you pointed, this show is both beautiful and bittersweet at the same time✨️ it's been amazing to watch your reactions and analysis, you're just so wise and inspiring, and I'm so grateful I've come across your channel this year!! I'm definitely sticking for what it is to come🩷 as always, your outfit and hairstyle are on point, and i admit I'm gonna miss the braid references🥲 I'm so happy you enjoyed it and i can't wait for your next videos🫶🏻
You'd probably love the non-included book characters if you love AWAE so much 🤍🤍 I have a feeling you'd love Philippa "Phil" Gordon (appearing in Anne Of The Island). I'd love to see a tier list out of curiosity, but you having a commentary on the books (Anne Of Green Gables, etc.) would probably make the awae fandom explode judging by all ur great commentary on Bridgerton:> Hope ure doing well btw!
OH! I don’t know if anyone’s mentioned it, but you might also enjoy Lark Rise to Candleford, which is a TV series adaptation of semi-autobiographical novels about a young spirited adolescent girl coming of age as the late Victorian industrial age begins to more rapidly change the rural/agricultural society and small country town life, as well as examining the layers of social divides even in such a small and relatively isolated community. Similar vibe of mixed serious topics as well as lighter comedy and multiple storylines for several characters in the town and the countryside around it. I think it’s set in 1880s Oxfordshire? (Also it’s gorgeous to watch like so much of it is filmed during Golden Hour in the summer it hurts my heart it’s so pretty.) It was made about 10+ years ago but it feels like it holds a lot of similar Vibes as Anne with an E.
I love this show!! Thank you for mentioning it to watch. You might want to watch Nobody wants this. I laugh so hard, and my stomach hurts. So much funny sarcasm. Love it.
The only good thing I can think of in regards to this show ending when it did is that we didn't have to experience a couple of the main tragedies that were in the original books and movies
I mean Matthew would have already died by now if they were following it in that way. As for Ruby...ig that would have been next season if they did kill her off(do you think they would have)? It's been awhile since I've read the books
AWAE is my wholesome go to when I need to feel all the feels. I also love All Creatures Great and Small (remake) for this. I knew you'd love the finale so I'm so glad you had the time to get there. I think it was a good decision not to wrap up Ka'kwets storyline as it feels more real and telling about the horrors of that time for her people.
Hey, first of all, I really like your vibe and child-me would have adored you! I enjoyed your reactions and thoughts on this series a lot and I think it would be amazing to see you react to Downton Abbey next (even if you don’t react to it, a strong recommendation to watch, if you haven’t already seen it). I’m sure you would love that show!
If you like to read i highly recommend you to read the books. The show does not follow the books completely but anne is the same and you will love her in the books. The books also goes way further and you get to see anne grow up and have her own family ❤
Hey I just discovered your channel a couple weeks ago! I’ve been binging your Anne series since 😌 BUT I did notice episode 6 from season 3 is missing, perhaps it was removed by TH-cam?
Pagherei qualsiasi abbonamento...
I haven’t watched this video yet, can you please reupload the episode of Anne with an E that got taken down? It’s episode 6! I wanna watch your reaction to it before I keep going
Okay, because I think you’ll love it, have you watched Ruth Goodman’s Full Steam Ahead documentary on the history/impact of the railways in Britain? th-cam.com/play/PLheUqddbcFTR_wGlVxkKHuv2-YSUgN4sV.html&si=I8lOrnkMf9fhpChN And the Tudor Monastery Farm series on the Absolute History channel is narrated by Geraldine James! Anyway I love all of Ruth Goodman’s documentary work she’s an entire Mood and the intersections with period dramaaaas and the cool bits of rural life working class history, we love to see it!!! 🚂🧡
This is a pretty good Ruth Goodman history series playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLDgiXcLNN2Hz3BV2IjPLoPyU6Y8YVBWhQ.html&si=QMCAo4tEPo1RFbbv but some of the episodes are missing, (some I can see from Edwardian Farm and Wartime Farm) though they are findable elsewhere on TH-cam, many on the Absolute History YT channel. Victorian Farm and maaaybe bits of Edwardian Farm (and Victorian Pharmacy) cover a lot of context that colonial maritime Canada would share with Anne with an E.
I have not been so salty about a series getting canceled since Firefly. I adore this series. I have watched it over and over.
It's been so wonderful to see this show through your eyes. I love this show even more now because of your thoughtful comments and heartfelt reactions.

Yesss! I would love a tier ranking vid!!
Loveee anne🥺😩 we do need a 4 season, this episode was so rush but still so in love with the show

these anne with an e reactions is how i found your channel so this is so bittersweet! can’t wait to see what you post next!!
I would love a Q&A or any other Anne with an E content!!
Love the little polin carriage shoutout 😂❤

I loved watching this show with you🫶
They also didn't close out the story of the gold thief and they've forgotten about him in s3
1:54 No coz same 😭 It's so frustrating yet fun to watch 😂

Fuck, I’m crying and I haven’t even watched this show.
Can I just say, I am so glad that they did not show Matthew's death in this version.
What??? 😢
@@zoe_24he dies in the first book before Anne moves away, in most adaptations its an important part of Anne's story.
@@cloudymay5600 aw that's so sad, I'm not sure whether I'm glad they didn't put it in the TV series or not

That was great. What now?
I still I'm upset they didn't finish the American Indian story. Booo!!
11:37 Omg so real 😭
6:23 That scene is all of us knowing that this episode is the last of Anne of green gables because it was cancelled when it should not have been.
