I can't believe the Anne with an E journey is finally over :( This show is truly 10/10 and the most underrated masterpiece Netflix has made. Apologies that this review was basically just us grieving over the things we're gonna miss out on what we wish we had more of haha, I feel like we neglected to speak about the parts we loved but I think our reactions are evident of how much we adore this show :) If this is the end, I love that the last line reflects Anne's growth and acceptance of herself now. She begun the show hating everything about herself, especially her red hair, and now she embraces that part of herself because she inherited it from her mother. A big thank you to the Anne with an E fandom for being the kindest, most supportive people. We will still be trying to make more Anne with an E content for the channel and best believe, if a season 4 comes about, we will certainly be reacting to that! End of an era 😭 Edit to answer your questions: Yeah they didn't know the show would be cancelled while filming, it got cancelled the morning after S3 aired in Canada, Marilla spoke to Ms. Barry about letting Diana go to Queen’s using her experience with Anne from 3x01-3x04. It’s very subtle but Anne brings Ka’kwet’s hair ties with her to Queens. I will forever be furious that we never got season four, I'm indigenous just like Ka'kwet, I have family members who survived the schools, and some people like to downplay the residential schools, and say that it was a long time ago, when in reality, the last school closed in 1997, and even to this day, people will still just play us off as stupid, drunken deadbeats, and yes, there's a ton of alcoholics in the indigenous community but that's due to their upbringing, and the trauma they've suffered. Indigenous people in the schools were beaten and sexually assaulted and so much more, and it breaks my heart knowing that we won't see a happy ending for Ka'kwet because there most likely was never a happy ending for her, she most likely wouldn't have survived the schools. (Sorry that this is so sad.)
Just finished the last episode today and damn we need atleast a netflix movie to wrap it all up. The writer of the show Moira Walley-Beckett have mentioned before that she is willing to write a finale-feature film. Hope it eventually happens. Thank you guys for the awesome commentary/reaction. I think they expected to get renewed. Diana's mom and Marilla had a talk and that is why Diana is going to Queens. Toronto and Charlottetown - where Gilbert and Anne are attending school - is a bit of a distance - you going to school in France would be closer. You likely heard the news out of Canada. It is only going to get worse over the summer and you will hear similar news out of the USA and Australia.
OMG I just looked it up and you’re right! France is half the distance from my house as Toronto is from Charlottetown, THAT’S CRAZY! I forget how big other countries are😂😂 the news coming out of Canada is so heartbreaking, but at least it’s shedding some light on the issue for people who are unaware🥺

When I think about it, Matthew and Marilla shut theirselves off and didn't get a chance to grow up properly. They've basically been rushed and forced into all the adult responsibilities. Without realizing it, it's like time was frozen for them. When Anne came, it's like they're discovering a lot more things and concepts that they've neglected. They're like growing up with Anne in a way 🥺
Marilla and Matthew deserve the world and no one can tell me otherwise!!! You can see how having to grow up fast effected them, that’s why they relished in Anne’s carefree nature. I love the Cuthberts sm😭💜

Thoroughly enjoyed all 3 series and the final scene with Anne finally getting some closure on her family history and finally feeling loved and getting her man finally but leaving the story line there is very disappointing it would be great to follow Anne and her friends through college and there lives to see how well they did and who married who. After all there were 8 books written by LM Montgomery so there should be plenty of storytelling to proceed with a few more series. I would like to know what happens with Jerry's story and how Matthew and Mariela cope with life without Anne. It would also be great to see Anne happy for a change and enjoying a loving relationship with Gilbert as they grew up not being able to experience teenage love. I hope you all had a great experience acting in a period drama and I do hope that the show is picked by another broadcasting corporation and the show continued would be great for all the same cast to continue you were all brilliant. 10/10 for all concerned.
Loved watching your reactions to Anne with an E! This is such a great show! I didn’t watch it in real time either. I watched after news broke that the 3rd season was it’s last. I don’t think it was entirely Netflix’s fault it also had to do with a Canadian company that didn’t continue on with the show. It’s such a bummer cause there were too many characters with unfinished storylines. 😭 Overall, it’s been a wonderful, delightful ride watching your reactions! ❤️❤️

Marilla told Diana's parents that holding Diana back would only cause her to slip away. that's why they send her to college finally.
Ohhhh okay, I wish they had delved further into that though. It feels a bit easy that just Marilla’s opinion swayed them into letting her go🤔
