Double-headed SP GS-8 and Dreyfuss Hudson (Trainz)

- Another request by our viewer : ) In reality, I seldom if not never heard about stories about Double-headed Dreyfuss Hudson hauling the 20th Century Limited since one single Hudson, although could bearly reach 95 mph with an 18-car consist behind her, was powerful and fast enough to keep the schedule. So we think it would be nice to see how a double-headed Dreyfuss Hudson perform in the Trainz simulator.

What will it take to kill a Hudson. Maybe some fef-3s or T1s
Or maybe an ATSF 3765 Class : )

@@TheBroughamGamer You are right, Brougham, especially for those steam engine equipped roller bearing to the driving axle and the rod since the 1930s. There was an story about a runaway, I think caused by FEF 820; a terrible accident which some men lost their lives. : (
The crew left the engine unattended next to Borie-tower and did not blocked it properly. The FEF run downhill the 1.55% grade into Cheyenne and crashed into a switcher. Later inspections said the speed of the impact could be as high as 135MPH! This could include the switchers speed but it really shows how free rolling these beasts were!

K&L didn't amazing job taking that poor quality video does take out the whistle from, and turned it into an awesome whistle for their hudson

Wait- But the hudsons COULD Reach 95MPH with an 18 car train. I think they almost got 100 with an 15-18 car train... I think it was 98.9 or 99.1MPH

Jones Family im pretty sure it wasn’t specified, as I found this from the promo of the Dreyfuss Hudson from K&L.
@@ReverieMoonlight_ IIRC, New York Central arranged a test for their newly streamlined J3a aka Dreyfuss Hudson before they were put into service for the "new" 20th Century Limited in 1937-1938, they claimed the Hudson reached 95mph during the test but I don't know how many lightweight Pullman car was behind the engine during the test. If there were 18 cars, during the test, the Dreyfuss Hudson should be able to reach even higher speed with less car behind them. : )

@@ReverieMoonlight_ This is a very good suggestion in real life! Though the streamlined Hudson and the non-streamlined one probably using the same script/engine config file in the game, we are interested to arrange a race of them! :P
