Great video. I just received the torp tc1000 for the ultra bee. Very impressed. With the latest firmware, you can pull 19.3kw from the factory battery. * massive improvement over stock* Love all the factory buttons working and so adjustable
Really Good info so many people will benefit from video! Not sure if you have tried it but Torp has a Stock Brake sensor regen option (only controller i am aware of) and IMO it is way more intuitive and natural than a thumb throttle but it isn't dynamic which is a downside but its a good included option at no extra charge 👍
You guys will be around for a long time I can’t believe some of the questions on Ebmx face book these guys want to understand tire ergonomics per size to get top end
Ebmx 9000 yes can be difficult on the install. Customer service is amazing though! It’s a lot to squeeze in, but it’s completely worth it. The Ebmx 9000 is the best on the market
I just got a 2024 mx4, which definitely has changed from the 2023 model. And then I slapped the nucular controller on it and it's showing I'm hitting over 12.1kw on it! I'd definitely say it's impressive for the cost! I just don't like that 10second shut off in mode 3 lol
Ok, here's a question-- maybe the biggest/best/hardest... Given that most people think the stark varg is just the killer electric setup, enough to even hang with the 4-stroke 450s, and at around $14k, what bike/battery/controller/motor combination would you build for 14k that could most closely compete with a stark? I assume a wheel and tire/suspension upgrade would be in order, too? Could it compare at that price limit? 😅 (I ask because I used to have a KTM 450 and miss it dearly...) 😢 Thanks in advance! Love the channel!
They are two completely different animals man even a fully upgraded eride/talaria/ surron. The stark is going to handle and ride like an electric 450 while it carries it well it weighs 40 “ish” lbs more than a new ktm 450. The other listed e motos will feel a little bit more like a mtb on steroids (160-180lbs fully modded). If you’re looking to shred some local trails, maybe a mini moto track, or rip around the neighborhood I’d stick with the smaller ones. if you’ve got a group of dudes you ride with that do longer technical trail riding or spend days at the track I’d go with the stark. Some people’s opinions may differ of course but hopefully this helps ya out 🤙
First. Off awesome video, thank you for the information. My question is, does my stock battery with the stock motor will it run out faster with the torp 500? See. I do a lot of single track trail riding. I 0:08 get about 50 km. And I can have about 50 to 40% battery left. I'm just wondering if it would be the same with that controller. Thank you. I got the m x four
It would not be the same unless you tune the controller to do the exact same thing your current stock controller is doing which in that case the new controller would make no difference and be pointless. The entire point of getting a aftermarket controller is to be able to push more power from the battery to the motor which in turn makes you go faster but in doing so will drain your battery faster than if you had a stock tune
@@Talariaboys why wasn't the ko Moto controller in the most recent video? I know you guys bought a ko nano awhile ago but I have never seen them mentioned since then.
Since you can program your own settings with these, do you think there would be a benefit to making a Hill Climb mode? Maybe keep the torque high but the wheel speed limited. I only ask because having the torque is great, but having 50mph or so of wheelspin can be a wild ride. I'm so used to a clutch that it could just be me, but it seems like it might work. Also, would it be possible to map a clutch feeling when you squeezed a "clutch" lever?
Personal experience says as soon as you want MORE POWER (controller) you need to ALREADY be in the mindset of replacing the motor" while you figure out batteries.. you WILL eventually need to replace the motor before you have a NEED for a battery or further upgraded controller. I stress the word need! 😉
Is it possible to keep the brake safety (engine cuts when brakes are actuated) turned on with the Torp TC500? I don't see a simple way to toggle it in the Torp app.

I am having a lot of trouble Installing the Embx 9000 on the eride pro ss 2.0. The new pos/negative wire that goes to the breaker has to be Crossed (think like a Helix) to connect to the Terminals on the EMBX 9000. The OEM has the Terminals in the opposite configuration. When I do get everything plugged in, the display turns on for a moment and says it doesnt have a battery connection. I have checked all the connections, tracked back all the wires, and all that is unplugged is a female plug with Orange, Black, and white. I am not sure what that could plug into and I dont believe it to be necessary. Do you have any advice?
I know this doesn’t really relate to the video but on the Torp controller I’m running 12.5mw and my front wheel barely pops up for a wheelie how can I fix that? I can’t run more kws because I’d the battery.
From my experience it’s a few things: 1st and IMO the biggest, it saves wear in your brakes. Brakes degrade so heavily on these emotos, being as heavy as they are, so the regen braking reduces a lot of the wear there. 2nd, it can give you some more range. It’s not massive, but it can make a slight difference!
it does not give you much extra range. its mainly there to help you slow down. with an upgraded controller and battery you can lock up the back wheel with the regen lever.
