You can see that the Queen wasn‘t fertilized because of her wings
I have had a campnotus chromaiodes queen who has a big colony now and she had wings

you are obviously new to ant keeping queens with wings have the same chance to be mated as without i have multiple winged queens who have workers
Actually it's hard to realize that because maybe it's fertilized or not but I'm sure it's fertilized because it will break her wings off later

Great video thanks. I have been inspired to make my own but using air dry clay and a shoe display box. It's not all dry yet but for some great ideas from you. I am installing two temperature /hydrometers into mine from the start as they are so cheap to buy.

you can use playdough to make paths before pouring cement in. so you wont have to carve for the paths later.
I use sand if I do buddy, but I love carving ants nest.
The sand make a realistic look

The other way you could do it is put clay on the walls and then the oil, then plaster.

I have sand grout. Is this alright to use? I've seen similar sand grout that I have in black used and it looked like the ant's we're fine with it. So can I use the sand grout or do I need to buy a different grout. Thank you.

I use an ant vacuum on cleaning the ant farm, I review this vacuum on the channel as well and show how I do it on small set ups. I moved a colony here on one of the past video buddy. Thanks for watching.

i can see that there are two hydration chambers. mind if i asked why is it that only one of them has a testube attached?
At first i used to put a pond above the other chamber buddy, but remove it later including the testtube, and put the water below the nest.

Nope,The sand was collected in my backyard and i just sterelized it before using. But the sponge is from shopee, you can search for PVA SPONGE for the item.

That queen wasn't pregnant, she had her wings open, a pregnant queen will have her wings closed on the back.

I used grout buddy, The sand in the vid is from the backyard that I sterelized. About the drill bit, it's just a normal step drill bit, you can just search about it.

The ant still has wings. Probably has not mated with a male.
If Ant queen still hasn't broken her wings off yet that doesn't mean that she's infertile.

Wings removal isn't 100% indication of being mated buddy, I had a lot of Queens with wings who successfully found a colony.

You make an ant farm but the queen ant die😭😭
The queen died because she was not fertilized. When a queen is fertilized and ready to found a colony, she tears off her wings.
