A big part of my drinking started when my brother was shot in the head and killed when I was 16. Our birthdays were a day apart and I drink because I couldn't deal especially being a kid. I lost my Dad 8 years ago so I numb myself for years. Sober 2 years now and I'm finally facing reality and I feel so much better instead of numbing myself and just letting myself feel now!!!!

This really resonated with me! I lived in a victim mentality for so long. Your videos have really helped me this past year. I've been sober for 9+ months now and also down 50 lbs. Thank you so much for creating this channel.

I definitely drank to “ease the pain “ but reality is everyone has a tough road in this life. It’s far better to deal with issues from a sober perspective and move forward.

You're an inspiration man. Keep up the great work. Victimhood has only made my life so much more miserable. Life is challenging and when we face those challenges instead of complaining things become much better.

Yup. There's a tendency I see in myself, to create a rational statements that justify drinking. The victimhood mentality is definitely one of them.
I just don't have time for the hangover and sabotage of my productivity right now lol. I'm not the best me when I'm drinking or recovering as much as I hate to admit it.
