This is very very interesting. They have a separate alarm for earthquakes while Greek schools use the bell. We know it's an earthquake warning if the bell rings twice short duration, that means get under the desks, hang on and wait. One short ring means that the coast is clear, evacuate the premises immediately. Then we run to the school's field which on one spot has our class numbers on, you'd go to your own and wait. That's when the teachers see if everybody made it out.
At my American school: *kids start screaming, screaming JESUUUUUS, recording, going live, running around, are still in the bathroom, laughing, saying we're gonna die*
In my college/country there is no such thing as earthquake alert system. When there was an earthquake of about 4.8 we were in a lab on 6th floor. When the tremors started we started looking at each other asking if its an earthquake. Later we found out the teacher already ran out the moment he felt tremors. That day i found out our college's motto is everyone for himself and now i am learning how to fight for whenever there is a shortage of food in hostel mess.

It's nice that they had drills and kids does what been told with no noise...

@Jinshairsmellslikemacandcheese i mean students doesnt care about whats happening all they need is fun.
*Earthquake*
Girls in our class screaming like it's the end of the world

Who else got recommended this after watching the other recommended early warning drill
The one in the car?

Yeah
amazing. i watched fottage of 2011 japan earthquake and was amazed how collected people were, not panicking and immediatelly ducking and protecting their heads. now I see how seriously these drills are taken from a very young age.
These kids are actually prepared for disasters like this while my classmates literally scream and laugh like maniacs as if we couldn’t die from it 😭😭
One time there was people with gun shooting police outisde the school and this is kinda normal so the teacher continued her work while we were under the chairs. There was literally an student crying because she wasn't from my country so she was not used to it and the classmates comforting her while a student tried to answer the question.

Here in Chile, when there is an earthquake, the teacher continues to teach until the earthquake stops, and the director decides that it was strong enough to turn on the alarm. Then she turns on the alarm for students and teachers to go down to the safe area. (the backyard). I think we have never gotten under the tables (maybe we did it a few times xdd) in an earthquake and much less someone has put on a helmet xd but it is fun to miss the classes to be in the backyard, I used to bring my food and things to play / draw with my friends skdkdj 😎
Recordé un día de escuela en el que me senté al lado de la puerta de mi salón, vi como se acercaba la coordinadora principal para entrar cuando de pronto comenzó a temblar fuertemente...
