So will this channel be to explain in more depth some of the techniques you use during you restorations, such as an in-depth how to on the dial you re-made including gimp and silk screen process etc.
@@gutsngorrrr yes, exactly. Narreted of course ;-)

I can't STOP watching you do this I am completely blown away by watching you. I would love to have your knowledge and endless talent. Just using what you may have on hand and it's always perfect. I tip my hat to you, sir.
Any other restorers who are watching need to understand that this is guy is THE benchmark for restoration techniques. There is never any skimping or half measures. Its simply a gift.
Am watching this while listening to Dire Straits Alchemy Live.
You are turning steel and brass into Gold!!! 😂❤
Watching this video makes me want to go work in the shop and fix something!
My fun is watching your videos, thanks
You should make something like "Shop tour" video, where you show all your machinery and tell us a few details about it.
I do believe that you, along with the lathe of course, could end poverty and hunger, provide universal health care and education, and bring about world peace....I have faith in you. Best wishes and stay healthy.
The machining is what sets your videos apart from other restoration channels. I'm blown away when you recreate stuff!
I don't know the first thing about metal lathes and doing this type of work but I could watch these videos for hours.
Thank you for sharing, I get more personal satisfaction in restoring, and making something that purchasing a new one, you have demonstrated just that, We humans, discard all that it is old including our self’s, after 60 we call our self old and not up to be part of society, the same with material things. I thank you for your good work, and demonstrate, that people or tools are part of our lives, and from the first day that we enter life we start getting old, however, with a little work we can continued to provide service.
The work is outstanding as is the quality of the videos. There is a long Swiss tradition of fine work, years of apprenticeship and learning and pride in a job well done.
The only thing that intrigues me is the fact that the work is done without measurements. Obviously that is impossible but the videos never show even the most basic use of instruments needed for such extremely precise accomplishments
A master is always a master.
I read the one when they are having dinner and the wife says her fork is dirty, he goes and makes a new one. Lolest!
Hmmm, my wife looks ugly. I make a new one
@@Jarost167 No she's not. I enjoyed her immensely. 😁
To say your work is well done is a gross understatement to the max.
Thanks :-)
a true artist!
You sir are a real champion!
Giving old stuff a new face is very satisfying
No tengo palabras. Me quito el sombrero
Great as always!!!
Pleasure to watch!!!
Good Luck with all projects!!!👍👍👍
this is quality material here. I feel like you're the only restoration channel that goes as far to create new parts to original specifications for all these situations.
Love the "Making new parts" compilations, please keep making them. All of your videos are wonderful, but these are like little Gems!
Well done and fair play. Click spring. And you are well learned.
This is an absolutely great, great, great video.
I could watch this all day... amazing. AMAZING!
You are a true Master Craftsman
Do whatever makes you feel better, any restored project, making wahatever. If I could I would put a mini lathe in my shop and they could take it from my cold dead hands. I’ve had a little experience with them in 1962, but none since, but I envy machinest and their math ability. I’ve never been good enough in math to do things such as this. Great video, thanks for sharing.
I don't understand how you can do every single thing so perfectly. You are a master!!! I love these videos
I love it when you thread
I actually don't have anything about machining; I just came here to relax and watch your vids which are so awesome..
Glad you like them!
what csn i say, simply genius, better then factory.
Well, having operated a lathe machine before, I understand why you would always make a new one. It's satisfying!
I know right, working on a lathe is so cool.
@@mymechanicsinsights Eyup. Thanks for sharing your work with us!
I love that the viewer can see things that have been restored in previous videos being put to good use!
I need to restore more items for the shop then, good idea. Thank you
Your level of precision and skill make your videos a joy to watch, producing works of art. Thank you for sharing your craftsmanship.
Thank you very much!
your a master - thanks for teaching
Very very good 👍👍👍
Mate, You are a wizard.
There might be someone out there that is as good as you at restoration, but there is nobody better!
Keep the spirit high 👍👍👍
I don't understand, how could someone dislike this video?
Right, it's like a solid 40 minutes of machinist therapy. It's like the tinkling sound of chips falling in the tray.
"I make new one!" is my favorite part of the videos. My husband chides me for falling asleep at the sound of the lathe. He wants to install a milling machine in the bedroom since I am a terrible sleeper and it takes a long time to fall asleep. Nothing quite like the soothing sound of a lathe!
... Until you lose concentration and crash the cutting tool into the chuck... Been there, done that 💀
No words to appreciate your restorations...
Splendid.....superb.
You are the only one who can solve the covid19 problem!
Something about watching a lathe is just so satisfying!
Working on a lathe too :-)
Right on, must be first day ROP, introduction to the lathe.
You are very talented, kudos. 👍🏼
My 3 year old is again fascinated. So nice to watch you work! :)
Thank you very much, I'm glad you like it 😃
I love how you find useful purpose for unused material!
I hope so
I love this video, i always enjoy watching you on the Lathe
Man, that's trully awesome!!!
So many good memories. Such skilled hands. Please never stop, your videos are amazing!
As s machinist these clips bring me satisfaction on a primal level
When sawing material in the chuck, its a good idea to put a piece of wood over the ways, in case the saw slips.
WONDERFUL WORK PIECE >>>>
Never hit a Subscribe button so fast in my life. I never knew you had this channel.
I just made it today, thank you very much :-)
@@mymechanicsinsights now do a channel with nothing but sandblasting lol
I understand the machining process, I have worked on lathe during a large period of my life, but the bending process it completely new to me. Super interesting.
Very cool. You've answered a lot of questions about how things get made. I am inspired by your talent.
You're a magician of lathe.
Definitely a MASTER of your craft!
Nice custom and tools 👍
This is always my favorite part of every video, the machining of new parts. This guy is a genius. I want to see more videos of him refurbishing old rusty machinery. The more complicated, the better.
Hats off to you..bro... very very nice..interesting to watch
You are simply incredible, amazing skill. That's craftmanship! Shame on people who put thumb down: what's their problem? But Don't care about them and hold on! 😊😊😊 Greetings from Italy
Such a relaxing video to watch on a Monday evening. Many thanks from a English watcher
Thank you very much :-)
An English watcher*
good lathe and well products
A real life hero indeed.
Another hits compilation! More classic favorites!
"They came out perfect"... of course they did!
❤❤❤❤so great ❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is a royal treat, seriously. I've waited patiently for an evening when I wouldn't come back from work too exhausted to watch it. It only gave me the urge to re-watch all your videos (I had completely forgotten about the soldering iron...), which might be a great thing to do before your new video comes up :)
Other than that, you are the only guy on earth who could convince me that nuts and bolts can be astonishingly... beautiful. I literally go "wow" each time I see your results. Thank you for all this, mymechanics. You're definitely in a league of your own.
All I can say is after watching you I so miss the days of welding, machining, and sheet metal while in the military. If I had a lathe I would make some face plates for my wood lathe and some turning tools as well.
Good jobs

Ich bewundere jedes Mal diese Fertigkeiten.
Top Video, bitte mehr !😁
Vielen Dank :-)
I have not watched the video yet but I'm sure it's fantastic
It's no new footage, just all clips put into one video. I hope you like it.
Wow you are genius 👌👌❤️❤️
I find this channel more satisfying than watching a driveway being pressure washed..
That's very satisfying as well. Thank you very much :-)
Watching your channel videos makes me want to buy a lathe and mill. LOL!
"My Mechanics" greatest hits!
Finally, a REAL restoration video. Thank you.
Totally Genius 👍 Highly skilled in Lathe & Mills... I watched his video often because of great perfection in Restoration 👌👍👌
I'm going to have to binge watch your restorations to get some context, but you're really doing some great work here👍👍
Thank you very much :-) enjoy
Oh how i envy you! You get to watch all his restorations for the first time, enjoy it
2LeftThumbs I wish I could watch it all again for the first time. Enjoy!
Absolutely the thumbs up! That's the highest quality !!!
Clearly a master at work.
Awsome mechanic skills dude. Could not stop watching.
If you posted an hour long video of you making a sandwich and pouring a glass of milk,I would watch every minute of it!
When he says, "let's make a new one," I admit my part is minimal. Thank goodness.!
This video is what thrills me about your channel, well done!!!
GREAT JOB MR. ---------- i have nothing to say
What a pleasure to watch a perfectionist at work.
Wow!! Like seriously you can machine!! You dedication to machining is amazing! I really like some of the techniques you used for the disk cutting and brass screws!
