I just over the last few weeks read 1 thru 54. Your work and work ethic is unbelievable. Never been a more well deserved break. Enjoy and I am off to view each panel again with a much deeper appreciation for what you do!!!
I have been looking non stop for interviews you've done. Since I started reading saga about a month ago I only have the 1st 3 volumes but can't get over how awesome it is
I like how the photo on the left (at the start) is a source image for colors, but also looks like the light source for the panel you are coloring. The time lapse video looks like about an hour, from the clock on the screen. Super useful and inspiring. Hope you have time to make more of these videos, but also keep up on SAGA :-)
I love to watch artist work it’s so amazing and your work is soo unique blows me away wish you had more vids of your work but ooh well atleast your still doing comics and stuff heard saga should return soon 😃😃
Hey Fiona, how do make the lines sowell defined like an ink brush? It looks like vetor, but more organic, i love it! I cant seem to find a photoshop brush that make this visual impact. Oh, and thank u for sharing your process, i love this
@L1qu1d S1lenc3r A word about tracing being a "shortcut": most professionals will reach a skill level where they can quite easily draw something based on a reference photo. If they want to speed things up, tracing their own references isn't such a big deal if you know you can already draw it from scratch, then it just becomes a case of saving a few minutes here and there. Most of these people have studied all the technical stuff (anatomy, perspective etc) and you can't really skip those important fundamentals.
Your art is so wonderful and inspiring! If you don't mind my asking, what version of Photoshop are you using in this speedpaint? o: Usually the newer versions look complicated but this one not so much?
Michael Sammler Found it. On a mac, under window, un check application frame. Then, make sure your tools and such are snapped to somewhere (Drag left or right till blue highlights) and your image window will not start super small.
This made my night. I would love to see more process vids for Saga (and your work in general!) You're an inspiration.
+RosencrantzLives me too!!1
I'm simultaneously inspired and intimidated...

Very nice to see the process of your work. Is there a possibility that they'll be more videos like this with commentary in the future?
That is so cool, part of me wishes you would do this for many more of your panels! :D

Does anyone know how to float all the windows like that? I am trying to do the same with CS6 but can't find it.
