For anyone looking for Canadian horns: M3Hs: 11:43 Burnett Power Saws M3 (Not Canadian Tuned but from Canada) 38:47 M3H K3Ls: 13:00 CEFX K3L 20:36 Sandcast K3L K5Ls: 21:11 80s BC Rail K5L 36:49 NRL CSX K5L 37:07 Belknap Parts K5 (Written as K5LA but sounds like a K5L) Bonus: 19:47 Canadian K4-2 Warning Siren 29:12 K5CA-LS
Found this video while trying to identify a strange train horn I had heard. Still no idea exactly what it is, but it from watching this I am pretty sure it was a three chime horn, which stood out pretty sharply considering that all the CSX trains around me are 5 chime. Most of all it was harmonic, with an almost musical sound that really stood out. Coolest sounding horn I have ever heard on a train, and suddenly I am actually paying attention to the horn part of the locomotive, something that never even really registered in my mind before.
Do y'all ever get in trouble due to the noise? I got my first train horn in 1995. I have blown it on my property off and on ever since. We live in the country but some people can hear it that live almost 2 miles away. There is also a train track 2 miles away. They have never been bothered by it. Now someone is complaining constantly every time they hear it. The Sherriffs dept shows up every single time I blow it for 3 seconds now. Threatening citation for disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct. We're in a rural county with no noise ordinance and have been told by the county judge that there is no noise ordinance and we can do whatever we want. Now we get shut down every time we try to do what we have been doing since 1995. Are your neighbors just decent folks or are you 5 miles from the nearest person? Thanks for the videos. We really love watching them. Y'all have some amazing horns!
Ah yes. Lots of cool horns!! And the Erika 😂😂😂😂 Love the Hybrid K5LLA!! The straight 4 bell really stands out and gets your attention!! And the 90’s K3HA from an SD70Mac!! And the SK5A really bellows! Get the F*ck outta my way 5000😂😂😂 And the way that Early K5HL was quilled was perfect 👌👌
To think that NOS Nathan M3 was the voice of the LIRR many decades ago...it probably was the reason why NIMBYs out there were raging mad hearing these at night 🙃 Too bad none of these were heard in the Atlantic Avenue tunnels 😢
Mountains and canyons are ideal, but realistically not a place to have a horn meet. I’m the host of this event. I’m satisfied with the 34 acres around us, 5 miles of river valley in front of us and hills beyond to bounce off of. I’ve counted 10 seconds of audible reverb after the last yank. We have it good here.
Hey Is There Any Way You Make A Tutorial On How To Put Train Horns On A Vehicle Please I Want To My K5LA 80s Model And I Don’t Know How To Put It On The Top

I'd love to go to one of these even though I only have one nathan k5la
Currently this honk is a closed event but it’s possible in the next year or so it will be opened too the public!
I Hear your Buell 5 somewhere in that P7X
You guys need to get those horns to the mountains and canyons for some hardcore echo action.
Agree too this!

15:25 Was So Good Sounding Are Thise Easy To Find
Awesome horn. And no they are actually a custom build. A P7 isn’t technically a real Horn.
someone needs a Kahlenberg Q4. The queen of the river!
Someone does need a Q4 haha
isn't that P7X the old horn Ed made?
Similar but this one wasn’t Ed’s.
8:44 🙋🏽♂️
🤣🤣
20:30 is that K5 custom machined?? I’ve never heard a raised letter sound that good
Nope lol just a really good day with the right parts on the assembly line. And yea that horn sounds killer.
Who owns that m5 at 36:08 ?
Why did the P3 sound so weird? Great video man!!!!!
That one definitely has a unique sound. Super raspy
@@TheHornKing I hope that’s not common. I just ordered a P3 from Horn blasters today. 🤦🏻♂️
No it’s not they are generally more mellow
What serial number is the H5? I think it's one I restored about 20 years ago.
Number 23
Great Video!

Where’s horn fest normally?
Somewhere in Rural KY
In northern KY. Currently a closed event but talks of making it public in the next couple years are happening.
@@TheHornKing sweet. Hopefully I can have the patience to drive down with the m3 and the wabco’s once that happens
Something tells me that if you're within a mile or so in the direction the horns are pointing...
@@RailBuffRob huh?
Hey just a suggestion: I recommend buying an F350. Or trading for one. But it’s ok. Just a suggestion
When did you get a h5?
That H5 belongs to a friend of mine
