What got me about SB was how emotionally blind he was with Crimson Countess. He genuinely thought they loved each other. He was totally shocked when she told him she hated him. His tragedy is that he's utterly incapable of empathy.

Soldier Boy was the best thing to happen to the Boys. I miss him.

One of the best characters in the whole series. Less than 20 mins of screentime. Incredible.

I really want soldier boy to come back in a later season. The fact that he can seemingly nullify compound v is an amazing concept. Also I loved the scene where homelander told soldier boy he was him and how he disappointedly said "I know".

I truly do think Solider Boy while the most evil at least on a mental level, is really the most tragic character. It’s sad to see both sides of him to but truly made him what he is. Great video well made

Soldier Boy stole every scene he was in.I have the same love/hate relationship with him as I do Homelander. He isn't completely bad but he is far from good.Loved this video,9.5/10.

Soldier Boy/Ben is one of the most complex characters in The Boys, which is pretty impressive considering he's only in a handful of episodes. He is a dangerous cocktail of insecurity, toxic masculinity, and PTSD. Unlike Homelander, he had a human childhood with a real family, and unlike Homelander, he's not insane and can be reasoned with. I also believe him when he says he didn't mean to kill people when he blacked out and "Herogasmed". That being said, he's also a violent, selfish prick who takes out his own pain on everyone around him. It seems like he gets particularly nasty with anyone who triggers his insecurities -- when Black Noir wanted to go into movies (Soldier Boy's forte) Soldier Boy viciously attacks him while mocking him for wanting to "move on up" (a bit of a racist statement, referencing The Jeffersons theme song). When he arrives in 2020s NYC, he gives the interracial gay couple a disbelieving look but doesn't attack them or berate them; perhaps gay men simply don't threaten him. Mallory's rejection of his gross come-ons clearly pisses him off -- probably because his ego demands that every female in the vicinity be fawning over him.

Although I don’t think Soldier boy is as Crazy or Sadistic as Homelander, he’s still a Gigantic Piece of Shit. Just because he was treated Badly by his Father doesn’t excuse any of the actions he did, and I truly believe that even if he did get a chance to raise Homelander he would just beat him and mold him into an exact copy of Himself.

Agreed. Homelander became like if not worse then soldier boy but soldier boy didn't want that for his kids. He want them to be better then him but instead Homelander became a darker reflection of him.

Dope that you’re a newer channel. I appreciate your in-depth looks. I was A little apprehensive due to the title because I actually liked this character but it was a very well rounded video.
