I wonder after doing this, add some clear coat to keep the shine a little longer.

So up north in Michigan we'll get a 2 year band-aid?! I'll take it for now! (More pressing matters at hand). :)

Does it work on the grill? I have a 95 xj or should I buy after market parts instead?

What I have found out about this type of "repair" is that it looks great for a few months, then in the florida sun the white comes back, but now with streaks from the heating process. So, this is NOT a long term solution. Painting will likely be my next option.

I followed your "HOW TO" video and did this on my $60,000 Rubicon and now the fenders look like complete a$$ with a ton of streaks a few months later. Maybe you should research before posting how to videos or take this crap down.

@@JS-dn2mm Since you are commenting on the exact info I provided about this technique, it looks like you didn't read before you acted. Also, this wasn't for Rubicon fenders. It was for old school Cherokee fenders. I'm not the only one using this short term solution either. I wouldn't have taken a heat gun to my Rubicon. That's totally on you buddy.

Does this harm the paint on the Jeep when you get near the body?

TheJiujitsumaniac No it doesn't hurt the paint. The gun is fairly directional and you can control where the heat points.

painting is the better solution. heat gun treatment doesn't last long.
