Why do I imagine that it was legitimately terrifying to be around Scott Steiner around this point? I can't imagine this era of peak, out of control Scott Steiner being a normal, chill dude backstage.
@@willcal7753 From everything people at the time have said, Scott was just legit a raging bull at times. He was smart and knew what he could get away with, but he ran out of fucks to give and wanted nuclear heat so he’d just do shit. Buff specifically has said Scott was super volatile when he was dialed in as Big Poppa Pump.
If DPW ever happens and Johnny ends up in a speaking role, I'm buying a ticket to one of their shows just so I can see if I can get him to corpse during a promo or something by holding up a sign that says "John Blud eats corn the long way".
IIRC that interview with Tenay,Scott was mad because Mike called the Frankensteiner a Hurricanrana because it was done by a cruiserweight. He did it to,at the time,"put over the luchadores"(direct Tenay qoute).Steiner didn't give a damn about the luchadores and told Tenay to call the move a Frankensteiner or he would come down to the announce desk and presumably whip Mike's ass.I don't exactly recall what led Scott to choke Tenay right then and there tho.
Did WCW ever tell their commentators anything that was going on? It's like in 2000, they were the only ones that weren't told what the script or the booking was.
It was a creative decision on Eric Bischoff's end to not give them a rundown what was gonna happen the night of aside from the card and storyline rundowns to make WCW more real than WWF
The reason the WWF fired Buff Bagwell was because of his backstage attitude. Nobody liked him. He even got into a altercation with Gregory Helms, a.k.a. The Hurricane. That shit was just nuts. 😂
I think Scott Steiner in WWE post WCW was terrible, but that mainly has to do with the WWE trying to make him a babyface for so long. Everywhere else he was he was the best heel in the world.

There was a "Roman eats corn the long way" sign at Wrestlemania 40.
Lmfao seriously?!
I was wondering if I was the only person that saw that😂
And one from a recent Raw episode saying "Drew eats corn the long way"
As a wise man once said,Goldberg eats corn the long way
😂. Never heard that before. As as I read it I was Dead ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
💀💀💀💀
Goldberg moans when he wipes 😊
Lmfaooo that video was right under this one😂😂😂 hilarious
Amen !!!!!!’
47:47 That moment will headline the 2021 Deadlock Hall of Fame class.
Ahh yes... I hear quite a few eat corn the long way... 😏 Chris Danger 😏 (IFYKYK)
47:48 is the biggest pop I’ve ever given anything ever. Holy shit lol
The 1-2 punch of Goldberg's corn habits, and "Lil Cock n' Balls (with hair) sign had me dying at work. Strange looks all around, but worth it.
James and Tony losing their shit over that sign honestly gives me the biggest possible serotonin boost.
James broke down completely in that part lol.
Biggest pop of my life lol
I don’t think you know what serotonin is
Lmfaooo fr
That was great and Jawnny trying to continue the review while they laughed is great
"Goldberg eats corn the long way"
Johnny: "I'm not really sure if that's true."
It could be true, Johnny 😂😂.
OH IT'S TRUE, IT'S DAMN TRUE!
47:47 to learn how Goldberg eats corn
Even after all this time the guy who made the Goldberg eating corn the long way is still getting laughs what a legend
I feel like Steiner's default setting is Rampage.
@Deacon Grady Spambots eat corn the long way.
He's on his lightest difficulty
You ever seen him in India? You aren’t wrong.😂😂😂😂

He apparently carried a gun in his bag
@@ravensflockmate imagine if he was like this when they went to North Korea
@@ravensflockmate Was the roid rage just that strong or was something else the matter with him at that point?

He nearly clawed out DDP's eyes when Page confronted him over a promo where Scott questioned his manhood

Anytime the Deadlock boys chat about WCW 2000, it is gold especially with Roid Rage Steiner
I've been going through a lot of personal shit lately, but your videos have helped me a lot. Thanks!
Hope things get better for you soon!
I hope it has passed other Deadlock watching homie
Listening lying in bed with Covid
Same. Get well soon!
To think almost 21 years later, Keiji Mutoh is the GHC Heavyweight Champion with artificial knees.

Idk if it's like a secret trigger word or something, but everytime I hear them say "Kwiwi" I nearly die laughing
This proves time travel is real. WCW 2000 was just DPW all along.
😂😂
I love how John desperately tries several times to go on with the show after the corn sign but neither Tony nor James are available for that
Rest in Peace Judy Bagwell :((
find someone who smiles ear to ear when they talk about you like pulse always talks about scott steiner.
also SKEEWOAH
Look at his Ring Ka King freakouts. Markyd123 has a video reviewing all of RKK with Jimmy Rave and Nick Aldis.
He chases the whole audience away lmao
Slob on my nob like Goldberg eats corn on the cob
Aw yeah more Deadlock Steiner content
After 47:50 I couldn't stop laughing for a hour 😂😂😂😂😂😂👏👏👏
I mean he used to call Okerlund "Jurassic Slap Ass"
I'm not saying he didn't call him that, but I only heard him call Gene a "geriatric slapass...slapass."
When Buff Bagwell came out with his mother, it reminded me of when Shelton Benjamin would come out with his mother! 👍
Slapping him out of the wheelchair after saying he hates cripples was funny
Amazingly, nL's watchalong of New Blood Rising from 2010 is still available on Twitch.
Kinda new to the podcast here, does John ever use his camera? The contrast between the videos above and the still image gets me every time

Also, he was recovering from an injury and really rusty when he debuted
Why is the one bottom left just a picture?

John Bagwell. He’s John, he’s the Don and the girls love to get it on.
An hour long video hosted by a couple guys who can’t stfu and let one guy talk at a time, about a 25 year old tv show… nope
Wrestling is so cringe
