VIDEO INFORMATION
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is here, so queue up that theme music. After his run in with George Lucas and a whole amusement park full of henchmen, Foley is back on the big screen after a 30 year hiatus.
So in this video, I’m going to point out some of the easter eggs, references, and things you may have missed in this legacy sequel. To be honest, I was going to do a full breakdown, ending explained, all that jazz buuuuutttt uhh yeah the movie is REALLY straight forward. You don’t need that. I don’t need that. But easter eggs… well that’s a different story. So grab your gun and badge, and let’s get into Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.
Kicking things off, the opening radio station DJ states his name is Bushman. This being the longtime WJLB FM 97.9 host of The Bushman Show from Detroit. This radio station is further featured on Foley’s t-shirt through a majority of the film.
Of course Foley has a history of stealing obscure vehicles during his police shenanigans, Axel F being no different, with Foley stealing not only a golf cart, meter maid three-wheeler, and helicopter. But also the opening snowblow pursuit, shares a lot of DNA from the openings of other Beverly Hills Cop movies. The opening deal gone wrong truck chase from the original film, and of course Bob Segar’s “Shakedown” from the opening Beverly Hills Cop 2 montage.
Heck even the scenes showcasing Detroit in the opening, and when Foley heads back to Beverly Hills, these montages are similar, but interesting to see how much has changed, specifically what high class name brands survived 40 years since the original.
Sequels mean returning characters, as Foley’s buddy Jeffery Friedman is back in the Detroit police department. Serge makes a wonderful and stylish return. Taggart is out of retirement.I guess not easter eggs, more of a “yaaayy these characters are back.” But in Jeffery’s office, there is a picture of Inspector Douglas Todd, who was killed off in Beverly Hills Cop 3. Inspector Todd was played by Gilbert Hill, who unfortunately passed in 2016, and wasn’t actually a trained actor.

*What did you think of BEVERLY HILLS COP: AXEL F? Where does it rank amongst the other previous films?*
Beverly Hills Cop
Beverly Hills Cop IV
Beverly Hills Cop II
Beverly Hills Cop III
I liked it, very entertaining. I'm waiting for critics like the critical drinker to tear it a new one.
1st - BHC2
2nd - BHC1
3rd - BHC4
4th - BHC3

Loved it! Brought back the feel of the original. I wish Billy had more screen time.
Everyone telling me "its not a perfect sequel" - well, what would it be? For me, this movie is. Its the best i can imagine with what we could expect 40 years (or 30 years) later. Its not overpowered with effects, it brings back so many memories, its like a good old 80/90s movie. I love it.
I rated it above the 3rd movie very close to the 2nd movie. Well worth watching
I agree. Great sequel. Ties BHC2.
I am hard to please but if people don’t like this one they are people who will never like anything so their opinions don’t matter or they did not grow up in the 80’s. I loved it watched it two times.
Who can't like this movie? It is well written, well acted and it is very entertaining.
If they don't like it they don't like anything this was a great movie took me back while telling a brand new story
The ending...when them three were in the car. And he says trust me looking at the camera...i had such a happy vibe pass over me 💚
So glad they kept all the OG songs...with some new stuff...I liked it..not loved it. But glad to see them all together. It was well done
I have the same happy vibe just reading this. Flashback
This movie was such a nostalgic trip...it was good to see Taggart with Rosewood again.
I ended up enjoying this way more than I thought I would. Strong recommend for old fans and new.
There was a comment about ONIONS having layers from AXEL......this is also a comment from DONKEY is SHREK.....also played by Eddie Murphy
Not enough attention is paid to this.
Yes!! I thought I was the only one who noticed that
I noticed that too but also in the truck after he calls Jeffery to track Jane's phone and Jeff says be safe, Axel tells Billy and Bobby to be safe and Bobby says there is no seat belt in the middle and Axel responds forget the seat belt "We're on the edge" which is also Donkey. "I'm a donkey on the edge".
Lmfao I noticed that...me and my lady were asking eachother why does it sound familiar!! 😂 thanks for helping us!!!
Yep, I caught that first time I watched the movie 😂
Also don’t know if anyone caught it, but if you pause the movie on the first page of the files Bobby is going through, the “report” in the files is EXACTLY what Bogomil told the Chief outside of Maitland’s house in the first movie
Nice catch!!
"Extent of injury : Minor" seems like Bogamil made a mistake..
Thats Shooter McGavin 😂😂😂
"CHOKE ON THAT BABY"
The only thing I needed in this movie was the famous Eddie Murphy laugh😂
That what I was looking for to
He had an interview recently saying he dropped that laugh years ago, as he was tired of it being the "go-to impersonation" that anyone did of him. He said he had to force himself to learn a new laugh.
and BANANA in the tail pipe :D
The female cop that arrested Axel in Beverly Hills
Is Eddie’s real life Daughter
Yep. Eddie was trying to get her a role and the director felt the best role would be her arresting Eddie.
He also had a son in law who arrested him
@@Scrubik1 tased him in fact
Really?!?!
@@mychaeljones7526 yes
Shrek: When Louie Guzman says he’s “layered” Axel replies that he’s like an onion.
When the henchmen are searching Rosewood’s office, they find a picture of Foley and say “this is you!” Foley replies that’s it’s Wesley Snipes. This is a possible inside joke. In the beginning of Wesley Snipes’ 2000 film “The Art Of War” someone asks Wesley’s character who he is while he’s infiltrating an event. Wesley replies: “Me?, I’m Eddie Murphy!” Then impersonates Murphys iconic laugh
Oh
Shoot, I totally missed that wesley Snipes one
In the first movie, there is a scene in the police station where Taggart punches Foley in the gut. Foley was asked if he wishes to press charges but he declines. In the newest movie, Taggart punches Foley in the gut when they meet again.
the new movie was shockingly good. fun as hell. great to see eddie back doing what eddie does best: be funny. best eddie flick since bowfinger. growing up, though, bhc3 was my favorite as well. also, loved the nasim pedrad cameo. i fucking love her.
You cannot be serious shockingly good? I bet you didn't like the Seinfeld movie did you? This particular axle f movie was absolutely horrid wretched terrible movie terrible writing terrible terrible terrible
The other easter eggs you missed one where he is trying to reserve a Beverly Hills hotel room and he is about to go into a accent to do a bit then decides he's tired and asks for a room at the regular rate. She tells him that will be $900 and then says "I just love Beverly Hills." Reminiscent of the first movie. A second easter egg you missed was when Billy calls Axle on the phone and Axle answers in a Jamaican accent, very similar to his Johnny Wishbone act from Beverly Hills cop two.
@@knightrcer I wouldn’t consider those Easter eggs. More references to the other movie. Easter eggs are more hidden, out of the way not obvious references
@@scottking6662 I still feel those deserved to mentioned. I mean they were nods to the original.
@@knightrcer oh definitely. It was great to see the references no matter how they were done.
Wasn’t the woman at the desk the same actor from that scene in the first one?
@@robkelso2771 no
Great movie. I dont think they could have nailed it any better, soundtrack, story, way it was shot, and feel,
5 stars for me
I thought there was a Die hard movie reference when Grant was in the police interrogation room with Axel, Grant left the room, Axel freed himself, opened the ceiling vent, Grant enters the room & thinks Axel is in the air conditioning system, Axel pulls away the seat Grant is standing on which knocks out Grant on the table & Axel says - “this ain’t a movie” referring to Die hard John McClane’s character who moved around the air conditioning system in the Nakatomi Plaza building.
I think that's a bit of a stretch, however he says "you watch too many movies" which could be a Die Hard reference, but I think it was just a break from action movie tropes.
“94, not your finest hour” was funny. Basically a reference to III being absolutely shit! 😂
I can see why people wouldn't like it but I actually really enjoyed it...
Part 3 was funny af.
It wasn't as good as the first 2 but I would not describe it as shit.
The scene where he hides behind the pillar and shoots with one hand sticking out reminded me of the one handed around the corner scene from the Maitland house shootout where he does a similar thing, as a kid I thought it was so cool and I kinda still do.
YES! I was about to add this one.
No. It was from Harlem nights. When he killed arsenio Hall and his crew.
@@johnsimmons5718 No way
@ johnsimmoms -No it was when he was in the Maitland house and shoots while hiding behind the pillar. I have seen that movie more times than I can count.
I love this movie I watched it last night and it was great. Glad to see Eddie back as Axel
40 years later, and for everyone to be still ALIVE is impressive!!! I hope they make BHC 5 and close it out on high nite. With that said, BHC 4 was amazing!
Honestly I would be on board. Get the trio together for more of it
Even a cameo from Bogomil and one last “Get the f#& outta here!” with “Nooo, I cannot!” But gayer than ever!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 The big 5 Axel, Rosewood, Taggart, Bogomil and Serge! Netflix numbers show huge sucess…just let Eddie be Eddie…no more of this me too crap….also bring back JL Gordon!
@@JBuckStudios it would be crazy if they managed to write in the part of the guy from the cigarette truck….the pig…the pork…Allah-u-Ekber 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You covered all of the Easter eggs that I caught, including the Shooter McGavin reference. I was hoping that Lisa Eilbacher would make a quick cameo as Jenny Summers.
I loved it. So many references and nods to the past, solid story too and probably because Eddie is much older, more vehicle chases. But it was so refreshing to see action in the streets with smashed cars, gun fire and all the chaos that follows Axel. I also swear the the house they are shown, is the same house from the shoot out in BH 2. Can't be certain.
the exterior did look very familiar especially when they showed the spot where rosewood got his first kill
I think during the black helicopter scene, they have a background theme music that's very similar to airwolf intro, a popular tv series also in the 80s.
Thought that just me..yes airwolf
AirWolf is 🔥
Yup.
Given the age of this movie's composer, I'm going to say that was deliberate.
Also that high pitched repeating note sounds exactly like the movie theme for Blue Thunder.
I just listened to both, and it's the same note. 😮
The cartel house exterior was the same exterior as maitlands house. Even a couple camera angles were the same. And driving down the street with the houses you can see what I’m pretty sure is the house the he “stole” from #2.
I thought so
Yeah, I even noticed the similarities in Axel’s footwork when he was evading the bad guys at that house next to the open house. So many homages Was like heading back home to see grade school friends.
You left out when he was clapping saying Bravo in Axel F. That was a reference to BH3. Clapping for Ellis Dewald.
Good one
That shxt is still hilarious to this day
I LOVE THIS!!! ALL THESE MOVIES. BUT THANK YOU AXEL FOLEY FOR COMING BACK! You rock Eddie Murphy
idk if anyone brought this up but behind Det. Abbots desk on the wall there's 3 photos of the pass BHPD chiefs , The old chief from BHC, Lutz from BHC2 and Bogomil
The front desk clerk at the hotel is the same lady as in the first movie
I didn't wonder that?
@@meridaanderson644 I wondered that as well but IMDb says otherwise.
😮
Are you sure? Doesn't really look like her. I know it's been 40 years but still. Lol
No it isn’t. The 84 clerk is named Alice Cadogen. The woman in this one is Natalie Ford.
Beat for beat this is what 3 should have been and I love the 3rd movie. This was an awesome BHC movie
That "Shooter McGavern" cameo was inspired.
Now we know Happy Gilmore and Axel Foley are in the same universe.
I didn't know that the guy who played Inspector Todd wasn't a trained actor. You could have fooled me he was very good in the role.
Yep: the first three BHC movies were his only acting credits
Kids of the 80s loved Beverly Hills cop 3.
not really man
@@gold333 when we’re you born?
Not at all, sorry
I was born 1985 I loved that movie as a kid. It was made for kids fam. Grown me wouldn’t watch it but I had it on vhs that movie was fun to kids
No kids of the 80s love Beverly cop 2
I thought the EXACT same thing about Shooter McGavin. :)
This movie should have been released in theaters. It's much better than it should have been.
You pretty much nailed the Easter Eggs. There was one other though, the dialogue between Axel and Serge at the mansion when Axel says "Get the f*ck outta here" mirroring their first meet at the art gallery in the first movie. Thought that was a cute moment.
But overall, you got most of it.
And overall I liked the film. It was alright! Definitely a step up from the previous. Agreed, not the best, but an okay movie. A nice little trip down memory lane, basically.
Ahhh yes! Their banter is perfect
@@JBuckStudios Absolutely. I'm re-watching the movie as we speak, and I just spotted a new one. When Axel first meets Detective Abott, there are photos of the previous chief's of police on the wall, Hubbard, Bogamil and Taggart.
Here's another one: when Axel is in Billy's house he tells the bad guys who are searching the SD card that the guy in the photo with Billy is Wesley Snipes, and that they always mistake him for the actor. A wink at a similar joke that Wesley Snipes makes to an airplane stewardess in the movie "Passengers 57".
They used a lot of the old music from bh 1 and 2 which was great but i think they missed one of the best ones out stir it up by patti labelle
Where would you have slotted that into the film?
@@TheNetflixNook Not sure actually but i just think it was an iconic song in original just shame was missed out was waht was trying to say.
I love that song
The thing I don't understand the most is that his daughter was born in 91 but yet Beverly Hills Cop 3 was in 1994 and at the end of that movie his love interest at the end was the woman that worked at the theme park. So did he have a kid with a different woman and didn't know until years later???
Hey I did the math in Creed for Apllo. 😅
Just lazy writing, Axel also says he's been a cop for 30 years when he was already a detective 40 years ago in BHC1 smh.
She also kinda resembles the love interest from 3
@@Soulkeeper1he also somehow has his gun back when they steal the helicopter despite being locked in the interrogation room and breaking out
@@awaitsliam They show him grab a gun and badge from a desk just after their escape. It was so obvious that it seemed like it was done in a reshoot to fix the mistake you thought you saw.
Haha the license really bugged me.
Jane was born 3 years before the 3rd movie, so Theresa Randal’s character isn’t the mom.
Yet his daughter isn’t shown or mentioned,
Despite appearing in photos with Axel wheres she’s older.
Which means he had a daughter with a woman,
Went to Beverly Hills, had an affair with a lady at an amusement park,
Then left.
@@travis_mitchell lol! Yeah I was thinking the same thing, Jane should at least be born in 1994 or 1995 maybe they could retcon her age in the next one?
I noticed that as well. I hoped that she’d be born in 94 with the woman he got with there.
they can maybe fix that by placing the bhc 3 plot in 1991
@@Contagious93812 the only reason that is tough, is because when reading Axel’s file,
Bobby mentions those events as happening in 1994.
@@MrEmmanuelSimon The plot required her to be an established attorney on a partnership track, so being 19 or 20 would have been implausible.
According to IMDb, "Steven Berkoff, who played the role of Victor Maitland in the original Beverly Hills Cop appears (uncredited) as a man in Beverly Hills traffic very briefly". I would have liked to have seen that in your video.
I didn't hear Axel's iconic laugh unless i missed it
Eddie doesn’t do that anymore he explained why in an interview,
I really enjoyed it, it felt like a proper sequel to the first two and was actually funny, with Murphy on good form. They did it a solid 👍🏻
So i looked at it for the 2nd time last night and realized “Jane” was born 3 years before the events of BHC3 and was never mentioned which is wild…they acknowledge BHC3 events in the movies but i hate when they do stuff like that to mess with canon
How bout almost every music cue from BHC 1 and 2 reused but damn it sounded great to hear them altogether Lorne Balfe nailed the 80's vibe
I still think BHC1 and 2 have the best versions of the theme. The 80s synth version is the best
Soundtrack was epic man, been a long time since such anniconic soundtrack was in a modern film!
@@gold333 Agree. The callacks were appreciated, but the timbres just don't sound as organic in _Axel F_
I saw it yesterday and I loved it!!! The senario is not so good but the actors are great and the actions scenes too!! It's a must watch!!!👍👏👏❤
its better than BHC3
BHC3 was not bad by the way.
@@PrettyBurrito210 but this is 25x better
You’re tripping, I’ll even say 3 was better than 1. I’m biased tho as 3 is my favorite. 2 is probably the best. This movie was okay but it wasn’t anything more than a nostalgia trip.
@@gold333 I saw 4 I like it a lot
That's a low bar
One thing that I noticed but didn't look for in the credits. There was a kid on a bike at the beginning of Axel F when Axel yelled out to him from the car. That kid looked to me a lot like he could have been he could the grandson of the late Officer, Gill Hill from the first two films.
This should have been released in theaters.
He wore Adidas Country in the first film, and wore adidas Superstar(Shelltoe) in Axel F. Not Sambas.
I came here for this comment!
Well, I love how they show his 71 nova but it’s kind of restored, but then I was kind of sad. He was driving in in the winter! 🤣
It wasn't restored necessarily but it was in better shape than the original, still had a tail light out though.
That's at least body/paint restoration. But what killed me(laughing) was how the "balmy day" was stay-at-home-unless-you're-going-to-the RedWings game it was so cold, Foley had his windows down to talk to people.
It was a really fun movie.
Tell Everyone!
It’s not exactly the same jacket. But it’s close enough 😂
How could you miss The Heat is On by Glen Frey?
They used most of the music from the first 2 movies on purpose not really Easter eggs.
Awesome Break down🤙🏿
One reference I haven't seen on here is this one (sorry if it's been mentioned by someone else). During the scene with the car valet, he speaks to an off-screen "Mrs. Weinstein". That's a reference. "Harvey Weinstein" was the accountant from the 2nd movie who bribes Axel for the parking tickets his wife accumulated while driving his car.
Ouch, let go of my arm!!! $200 dollars!!
Music in back ground helicopter scene sound alittle like Airwolf..?
I loved watching BHC Axel F for no other reason than the nostalgia trip. My expectations weren't insanely high, but it's a fun ride and the throwbacks were well done!
You missed the reference to an onion having layers which of course is a nod to Shrek which Eddie is currently making
“In the morning, I’m making waffles!”
Before I watch new movie I’m gonna take a trip down memory lane and watch the other 3 first it’s been years since I last saw them.
Went in to it not expecting much. Really Enjoyed it. It's not 2, but did the best to capture that 80's feel and nostalgia. Wish it'd got a wider Cinema release though, but doing really well on Netflix
Beverley Hills Cop 5 anyone?
It was a fun film, there was something comforting about watching Axel F in a new film, maybe it invokes memories of seeing the first film and how simple life was back when I was 10.
Also Joseph Gordon Levitt who played the younger cop who assisted Axel also played a young cop in the Dark Knight Rises.
Thats no easter egg that just him in another role, lol
@@Orangeflava so Levitt plays a young cop in this movie and also played a young cop in Batman is not an Easter egg, yet this video showing McDonald play a golfer in this movie and also in Happy Gilmore is ?
@@stupidfathobbit4262 McDonald's is more of a direct reference to Happy Gilmore since they are basically the same character and his depiction is obviously a reference to that movie. That doesn't apply to JGL since the only similarity between the two characters is that they are cops. They share nothing else in common and are very different characters otherwise
@@stupidfathobbit4262 JGL is Robin in the Dark Knight Rises. At the end someone says to him that he should use his given name which he says is Robin. THAT was an easter egg. Him playing a cop in another movie is just that, him playing a cop, ex helicopter pilot, with a similar dad moved us to Beverly Hills story to Jane's.
Levitt was awesome in this, I'd literally just seen Project Power the night before! Such an under rated action actor today 💪
I thought I would hate this, but it was a nostalgic and enjoyable trip. The 2 hours didn't drag, and it was pleasant viewing. Not perfect, but about right 👌 .
The picture in jeffrey's office of axel's first boss hanging on the wall
One particular part I liked, when they were all outside after being told to leave. That same scene occurred in part 2 when Axel stole the bullet and waited against the wall. Taggart then explains how he went go through the academy with Andy. And right before this scene, he tells Axel that he mentored Bacon's character before blowing off on him. Lutz 2.0
I said that exact same thing. Taggart is acting just like Lutz. I was even wondering if Taggart was in on the dirty dealings just seconds before Axel asks him outright if he was involved. 😊
I watched Axel F yesterday and I LOVED IT ! Such a nostalgic treat for us old original BHC fans, all my favorite characters are back, except for Captain Todd of course ( RIP ) and Bogolmin but such a fun movie 🥰🫶🏻 JGL was a great addition as Abbott 😊 It felt like I was watching a good 80’s movie ! Liked the story and Kevin Bacon as the bad guy is always great 😁Just a great, fun movie all around ❤
Eddie Murphy acted like norbit in a few scenes of this movie 😂
hahaha 7:02 I was wondering the exact same thing as soon as i recognized him on that golf scene
I absolutely loved this movie . 30 year wait for it 🙌❤
There's one very subtle production easter egg - Taggart's mobile ringtone is the "stock Hollywood rotary phone ringing sound effect" that was omnipresent in 70s/80s/90s movies/TV shows.
Eddie Murphy is a talented actor ❤
To me after many years and all actors were older it was great. I love the movie.
I really enjoyed this film. I loved all the little Easter eggs and nods too. The Shooter golf scene was fun. I assumed it was a connection to Happy Gilmore too. Great video!
It was entertaining. Story was good enough to keep you interested and the call backs made it so you kept an eye on the screen
Actually liked this a lot more than I thought
Not an easter egg but I found it funny how the police station was straight out of the 80's, just papers and no computers in sight 🤣
i give this movie a 9 out of 10.. it means a lot to have those characters reprise the roles. i think they should make a 5 quick
Love this movie. Modern day settings with some nostalgia feels from the classic sprinkle all over the movie.
What more do you want? This is a near flawless legacy sequel. I love the effort put into this. Murphy was giving it his all and the Easter eggs and callbacks were done in a way that isn't intrusive.
This actually FELT like an 80s/90s action cop movie with the practical effects and the old school chases/shootouts. The movie brought its own identity as well with the father/daughter storyline. Oh and Kevin Bacon was awesome especially towards the end with his character being old school coked out. The movie gets 4 stars from me. I deduct half a star for using the crazy frog version of "Axel F" rather than the original.
EDIT TO ADD: I think there's one potential Easter egg you may have missed. When Axel gets arrested and he ridicules the small squad car calling them LEGO cops and such. It mirrors the scene where he got arrested in the first film where he marvels at their squad car.
This was wayyyy better than I expected
They messed up. When His daughter asks Axel when She was born, Axel says March 24, 1992. But earlier in the movie, Her drivers license is shown and it says March 24, 1991.
What a great movie! Kept us laughing and no topic was off topic. Thumbs up.
The red Ferrari Testarossa is seen in the shop window for a moment. It's the same model that Foley used and lent to Jefrey who crashed it in the second part.
That definitely was shooter mcgavin!
My favorite was 3 growing up as well at first I guess because I was a kid and the amusement park location 😂
I love the return of all the original guys , memories.. ive seen 1,2,3 and i loved part 4. 🎉
I see mixed reviews about this movie...but i enjoyed it. Sequels always have such big shoes to fill. This isnt a 5 star film, but its a solid movie. It balances nostalgia and call backs with a solid movie.
And i dont "hate" bvh3 like most people lol i loved it as a child
final truck chase scene, they almost freeze frame on a ferrari behind glass, the one axel drove in the beginning of bhc 2
Great video !
About the hotel scene, I’m pretty sure that the receptionist is the same one we had in the first movie !
Alice Cadogen was the receptionist in the first movie.
Natalie Ford is the receptionist in Axel F.
It sucks that they don't mention what happens to Bogomil, He was in the fishing picture in Billy's office we don't know if he retired or he passed away.
Didn't he die in part 2?
@@NickL951no he survives his injuries and gets to see Axel before he leaves for Detroit
@Fox_Tube_TV218 I know he survives and becomes police chief after Lutz was fired but years later he either retired or passed away, it was never referenced
I was wondering as well
The report inside Axels files is the same Bogomil gives at the end of the first movie.
7:05 - Yes! That *_IS_* Shooter McGavin!⛳️🤔😮😉😆
Netflix is making Happy Gilmore 2, and it'd be awesome if these 2 franchises share a universe👍😎
Just like in the case of BTTF, in this saga, my favorites were 3, 1, 2. But now that this one's out, they all move one spot to the right.
4, 3, 1, 2.
Even though I knew exactly who was the bad guy as soon as I saw him, and everything was pretty predictable, I still absolutely loved this one! Great use of the original songs, great cameos, great action!
I thought it was Shooter McGavin too. Lol. He’s still working towards that “Gold Jacket”
Yeah. The director wanted Christopher McDonald specifically because he was Shooter McGavin and thought it would be a hilarious cameo.
There was a crystal model of the red Ferrari Axel drove in the beginning of BHC 2 on the table behind Deputy Chief Freedman desk.
I noticed that too
They showed the car in the movie
Billy was written in the series to be the mayor and they completely dismissed that. Plus also axel had a son too that wasn’t mentioned
Steven Berkoff who played Maitland also appeared in a movie as uncredited. He was a man in the Beverley Hills traffic.
4:43 If there was internet then, this movie would be a Hit, It is a classic here in Brasil!
Don't forget the Producer Michael character, that was legit
Personally, I think we like the nostalgia, we like the callbacks, we like the easter eggs and we like watching Eddie Murphy being funny. That said, while it was much better than 3, I still think it ranks behind 1 and 2.
