    Ok just some issues I want to address, going by the comment section some people are ticked off by the way I pronounce Foley’s last name, that’s just how I pronounce it, I’ve even tried saying it how people have suggested in the comment section and it stills comes out as how I say it in the video. I don’t know if there is a glitch with me or what’s going on that’s just how it sounds when I say it. I haven’t done it on purpose to ruin anyone’s day. Some have claimed I haven’t even seen Beverly Hills Cop, who hasn’t?? Everyone has seen Beverly Hills Cop, that’s like accusing someone of not seeing back to the future. I have Beverly Hills Cop 1 and 2 sitting proudly on my DVD shelves and would even gladly put up a photo of them on my Facebook page if people want me to for confirmation. As for getting Empire magazine wrong and calling it “Emperor” yep that was a goof and yes I accept all feedback in regards to that and take it on the chin to do better. Lastly and one that really confuses me is some have claimed this is a re-upload, I have never before done a video about Beverly Hills Cop, the last Eddie Murphy video was back in 2014 and talking about his music career and it was a very old and primitive video so I don’t know what’s causing the confusion?? And I can prove it right now this isn’t a re-upload as in the scenes with me in front of my background, above my head you see a small framed photo of the Batman logo, that was just given to me the other week as a late Christmas present from a friend, so if you go to my videos to round about Christmas and early January you will see that framed Batman photo is not there. I hope this long comment has helped with some of the confusion, just remember I try to entertainment people, it’s never my goal to make people angry, I hope to make Minty Comedic Arts a positive experience, thanks heaps for the feedback and reading this and giving me the opportunity to try and explain, the best is still to come

      I'm from Florida and pronounce the word "Melbourne" in a very specific way. When an Australian here's me say that word I get a tongue lashing like I've never experienced before, each worse than the last time. Not in a good way either. I now avoid referring to Melbourne by name at all costs.

    • @MintyComedicArts
      @MintyComedicArts  5 ปีที่แล้ว +29

      That's horrible that that has happend to you. I wouldn't do that as personally I find the differences in the way people to talk to be fascinating but yes I've come to learn that word pronunciations is something that does annoy a lot of people. Don't stop saying the word "Melbourne", no one should bully you to the point where you feel like you cant talk! I have noticed people from over seas say "mel-burn" where here its more pronounced "mel-born" and people in Melbourne often say it very quick to the degree it sounds like "mel-bun". Just keep being you because the world is a better place for you being so :)

      Funny story behind that. Because BHC did so well, Sly did COBRA (with a bit of added "Chow Yun Fat" to the character - that's why he dons the sunglasses and toothpick, which he appropriated from Chow's characters in his Hong Kong flics). STOP! was made when Arnold passed the rumor that he was _VERY_ interested in doing it. As Sly was competing with Arnold at the time, he undercut Arnold and got the role.. and then found out that Arnold trolled him into the part!

    juggernaut at the box office.
    It was a fairly modest success.

    While NOT a fan of reboots given that they they screw up the franchises whether films or tv series I would have LOVED to see the Beverly Hills Cop tv series. From the sound of it, they were doing it right & focusing on events AFTER the last film. And having cameos from the original film, helps you understand the it better and makes you want to go back and watch the original films.

Murphy's humour is what sells this movie, it never would have as well with Stallone. That would have been a Rocky/Rambo style clone which Stallone was synonymous with at the time. Can't believe the tragic career end of the director of this film. He did this, then Midnight Run with Deniro, he did Scent of a Woman which gave Pacino his first ever Oscar in a lead role. Then he did Meet Joe Black which a number of people liked despite its box office flop. Then he did Gigli which killed his career. It took two films to destroy his career. What a waste as he has never directed anything since.

      WTF? How do you go from Scent of a Woman to Gigli? I wasn't mad at Meet Joe Black...it was a middling offering and shouldn't have contributed as much to his downfall. But Gigli? I mean, if you know anything about filmmaking, it's the most collaborative medium. And with so many moving parts, any number of factors can turn a film into a flaming turd pile. I just don't understand how he didn't see it for what it was as they were making it.
