Thanks man. I knew I had seen a method that didn't involve buying a new barbed fitting which costs 1/5 of the cost of a new hose anyway. The end of my hose developed a small bubble and I hadn't thought anything of it until I was under my truck and it popped open in my face lol. Thanks again
Our air nailer slid off the roof and punctured a small hole 6 feet into our 3/8 hose. We were way out on a farm, and now this. I've seen other fixes that have not worked well, but this one works. We are back in business, just minus the 6 feet we had to cut off. Huge help.
Can a similar barbed fitting be used to repair a rubber hose (with pin hole leak) on a car AC line? So cut at the leak and connect the 2 ends with a barbed fitting and clamps?
Can a hose be fixed if it cracks in the middle? 50' hose cracks at 25'? Is there any way to keep an Air Hose from deteriorating? I don't keep mine in the sun but it has still Dry Rotted. What can I use on the next one I purchase?
Any pipe dope will do. I actually prefer Permatex pipe/joint compound for this task. I just didn't have any on hand. I used Hercules Pro Dope in the video.
Not really sure if the connection is the same. Also A/C lines tend to be a set length, so I don't think you'd have enough extra length to reconnect it.
Next he shows us what happens when our shoes come untied.........if you can’t fix something like this intuitively then you need to consider other professions.🥸

1/2 pex crimp will work in place of the hose clamp if you have some laying around. Great tip on the hose repair!
Thanks this is what I'm doing this will make it way easier to complete my project
I’ve known about barbed fittings but didn’t know the crimped piece was totally reusable too. Awesome job man!
what r u talking about ?.
I didn't see him reuse the crimped fitting.
did anyone see him do that ?
I hope we're all still scared of C19 and enjoying the inflation and collapse the insane reaction to it caused.
Good job lemmings.
thanks for making it easy...
Thankx for the video brother. You were a big help.
Right on! Glad I could help
U just saved me 25 $ , thanks
All fine and dandy on the end of hose but if it’s a hole in the middle, I’m not going cut half the hose off to fix it like you show!😂😂

Awesome! Reading this just made my day!
This video saved me. Thanks man
Thanks just saved me some money
Show how to fix it with the same type of clamp that it had before
Great vid... thanks man!!!!
Thx
Nice. Shrinkwrap would tiny it up and protect from sharp edges. 😎
I use duct tape.

Considering A/C in cars running similar pressures (slightly higher than an air hose) I don't see why not.

extension cord toss is classic.
Thought there might be a few people that get a kick out of it 😉
Wow!!!
Sweet ! What did you say the name of the grease is that you used for the brass threads?

what if its in the middle?
Could I use this method on an ac line on a car

You don't need to be a mechanic to have an airhose, so for the rest of us office professionals who probably make more than you, this was helpful.
