How do you cope with restarting at an older age. I'm in my mid thirties and I am retraining jn a different country. It is so hard to accept being so low and so dependent on others when I'm already in a more senior position back home.

I love this! I've been struggling with finding meaning, identity and purpose in my life with being a SAHM for several years and children now at full time school, I've been feeling lost on what's next. I've been looking into studying nursing but at almost 45 years old thought I may be too old to study and start a new career so thank you for sharing and reassuring me you are never too old!

Your voice is so soothing! I was so lost in my 30s. I wanted a relationship so bad and to have children. It didn't happen. I was in the wrong relationships where the guys didn't want kids. In my 40s I decided to do it alone. I didn't have time to wait for the right guy. I gave birth to my first child at 48 and am currently pregnant at 50 with my second child.

I too was married at 30 and we had no children. We tried. Then a divorce. In my 40's I really want a family and children. But heaven forbid I get that gift. I couldn't be a mom myself. It's hard. And you are an amazing and strong woman. I wish you luck, health and happiness.

Yes!! My mom just had a baby at 46, and it’s so clear that she was finally ready for a kid. She was never there for my brother and I, I hardly saw her in my life. But I am so happy for her to finally find what career she wants and to be with a man she sees herself with forever and a baby girl. She would tell me when she was young she always wanted a daughter. We’re really in a new age, with so much health technology, we’re a lot healthier longer if we make the right choices and have access to some of the technology.

Life didn’t start for me until the day I turned 30 during the Pandemic.
    In this order:
During COVID I honed my cooking skills, learned to read and speak French, Traveled to France (and French Canada twice!), changed careers from retail to tech (started working for a well known tech giant as an engineer), most importantly I finally learned to verbally set boundaries and make requests.
And happiest of all- I met my now husband! ❤ A man committed to hard work & financial gains, inner personal growth, better communication, and building a happy family.

I'm 30 and I'm glad to hear someone else going through a similar situation like me. Lately, I have been thinking about going back to college or study a master's degree, but it is confusing. After months of looking for an answer, I realized that most of my motivation to study was to gain a better "status" in society. I thought studying was going to make me feel better about myself, but in reality, I was just trying to please others. Once I noticed that I took time alone to reflect and realized that I didn't want to go back to college. I want to keep learning in my own way: attending short courses, seminars, or reading books. Letting go of the pressure society puts on us is a good place to start if we want to create a more meaningful life.

You are extremely gorgeous and beautiful, young and youthful. I'm glad that single women in their 30s are making more content. We should also remember that this moment that we are living is the youngest that we will ever be. When we are in our 60, 70s and beyond, we will WISH we were in our 30s and 40s, because we will realise how young that was. So we should be happy with where we are in life, and don't allow the society to dictate what is old, what is expired, what is useless, what is hopeless. As long as we are alive, there is hope, for everything, for all our wishes and desires.

@@ZhannaZhumabayeva-jq8ot if you had your education in an English speaking country you can teach English yes in Japan or Korea, but if not you will need another skill. Japan has a technical skills visa to fill gaps in a bunch of industries that Japanese people don’t want to do/ because of the small population. The jobs include technical, nursing, manual, cleaning etc… there are a lot of people on this visa type from Vietnam and Nepal but there are people from many other countries too. Go google SSW Japan visa.
Japan is also suffering a lack of computer engineering skills and is hiring foreigners for coding in their growing tech industry. I know all this because I worked in an employment agency my last 3 years I. Japan. As for Korea, I don’t have as deep as knowledge of industries for foreigners sorry. Both are comfortable to live in but to say one thing about each country that is to its benefit, Japan is clean and Korea is warm hearted!

This video could not have come at a better time. I just turned 30 this January and since then Ive had this cloud come over me that my best years were behind me. I lost a lot of friendships over the years, and ended my longest friendship in December after a pretty hard breakup in November. It was a tough year to say the least. Worst of all, I couldnt see any light at the end of the tunnel for my life going forward. It is so comforting knowing that maybe there are still things ahead that might make life worth living. Thank you, and that one 51 year old viewer for giving me a glimmer of hope

I feel lost and confused and hopeless. Some days are better than others. It’s comforting to see that I am not alone in feeling this way and that there are things to look forward to that make life worth living. It can be hard to see the light at times. This has been weighing heavily on my mind since i turned 33. I was completely lost in my 20s. Health issues, unable to find and keep a job. Chasing girls and partying. Mental health problems. It wasnt until i turned 30 that i finally got a full time job.
My first entry level software job and I feel so ashamed and behind. And its made me depressed. I wish i had the mindset i had now back in my early 20s. I dont know wtf happened. Its like the blindfolds are off and ive been hit by realization and reality that im behind. Im 33 now and it feels like my life is over. This wasn't the life i pictured for myself. I thought id be better than i am now but im not.
    Please I'd love some encouragement

      @amandac8836 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I’m 33 as well and suffered very badly from depression and anxiety most of my life. I threw away so many opportunities to get ahead in life because of it. I graduated from high school yeah but never finished a degree. I always wanted to work in the medical field but did not feel as if I had the capacity to study at a university level to completion as my focus shifts very easily and so I spent 12 years in a retail job working part-time that I began to loathe towards the end.
I wasn’t the partying type but very introverted and socially awkward. I dated many people who were not the one, and even now I still wonder if I’ve found the right person as we seem to have more off days than good.
But now I am in the medical field assisting doctors and it’s a fulfilling job and I enjoy it. It’s not full time and it’s not exactly my “dream” job but I am hoping to reinvent myself. You’re not alone and you’re not behind. We are told to choose our life path when our brains are still developing and some people were still unsure of what they wanted back then. I was one of those people. And so are you. But you are not alone and we will be okay, don’t worry. :) You got this. ❤

Hitting certain benchmarks in life arent really important. Its just about being happy within ourselves and growing as people and forever learning. It took me a long time to figure that out. Im 42 and raising my 9yr old nephew. My life doesnt look like how my teenage self thought it would. But I feel like times are changing. We can all embrace unconventional lives. We dont need the cookie cutter life our mother's or grandmother's had. ❤

And I definitely agree you can change at any time and definitely in your 30s. I’m going to be 38 in June. This decade I have gotten a good job. I learned so much about myself and the world. I’ve become a better person, calmer and kind. I’ve learned gratitude. I work with the elderly and I’ve even become a better caregiver and I’m learning more about each decade of life. There’s so much to learn. Life is delicate and beautiful. Aging is difficult in seeing our loved ones get older, life changes, etc and we can always look at older people and worry about the future. But I don’t worry so much anymore. I see how I’ve changed and give myself credit. I see the future and know it’s not a give- in at all. But if I have it, it’s a blessing and I’ll hopefully be able to continue to be the best possible version of myself.

Thank you for this, Poppy. Your videos really inspire me as I am now 34 and really feeling like I’m ready to take my life to the next stage. I’ve been traveling and figuring myself out but now all I want is my own place and my dog ❤

A dog will certainly change your life. They're hard work I'm not going to lie but the joy they bring is such an amazing feeling 🐶

I will turn 38 on may and a year and half ago i was single living in my parents house and now i live with my boyfriend and i was sure that im not going to be in a relationship ever again so remind yourself that it's never too late to find love and be happy with yourself because we the only one that have no choise but living with ourselves from the beginning to the end❤

I loved this. Life in my 30s has been hugely improved vs 20s and for that I am grateful! We have a similar outlook to feeling lucky to reach an ever higher age - the women in my family all die young :(. I AM lucky! I am lonely, though. I'll be 35 on Thursday and almost all my friends are married or in LTRs. My cat suffices most of the time but I'm beginning to accept I'll not find a life partner, and that is okay. I'm not entitled to it.

I'm turning 35 this June and I'm panicking deep down because I'm just 5 years away from turning 40. I feel like I'm so behind in life. I really feel so anxious thinking about it. I'm so happy I found your channel. Everything you're saying is so relatable.

I feel you that was exactly how I felt last year turning 37. But you know what, I'm in a much better place than 12 months ago so really nothing to be anxious about. Just focus on being you, you are a beautiful human regardless of the numbers ❤️❤️

It makes no difference. I freaked out turning 37 two weeks ago. It is what it is. You’re going to turn 35 regardless, God willing. Be thankful
