Man this takes me back, haven't been to Bluerock in years!
Also when you were talking about specs for the rods, went straight over my head haha had no idea what you were talking about 😅
But awesome content bro, that was great to watch, you've really stepped up your game with with everything, your editing has come a long way.

Been working hard on that sort of stuff so good to see it not go un noticed.
It's a mint spot really love coming back and cruising the banks.

You hit the nail on the head with this one. It's exactly the information you need to land your PB at Blue Rock.

I really want to do more fresh water stuff as i have mostly done just salt all of my life. Is this place any good for a landbased fisherman? and if not, where else could i go? i would love to have a proper crack at the trout too. love to flick lures mostly

Hey mate this is definitely doable as a landbased spot.
Plenty of ppl catch bass straight off the boat ramp pontoons also off the bank either side of the tanjil arm ramp.
Access is a little more restrictive landbased but worth a go any day.
As for trout I'd suggest heading to Noojee and playing around the rivers in that area, loads of options for trout fishing.

Agree some good tips, well done. You probably don’t need more than 15lb leader, and for your moving baits, I’d try and find a rod that’s got a little bit more play in the top or even mid section.
Are there access points for canoe put-ins at the top end of the dam?
    Cheers 👍

      Thanks mate,
Yeah plenty of spots to put a yak in.
Typically in BR I'm running tops 16lb predominantly on the jig setup.
      10 - 12lb on the rest mostly.

Just keep in mind if you get a good one on 10lb you’ll likely get smoked.

Sweet. I have a mate that's down that way and plan on heading down for a fish with my boat. How's it fish in the cooler months?
