I'm so proud to know there are folks like you in this world who have great perspectives on what really matters in life, even after taking a $6K gut punch. Please get well and keep driving on.
Nick, you could have paid a crew member to to help you sail it to a marina in Mexico (or just pay someone to sail it down there for you) or up in the northside of the Sea of Cortez in Puerto Penasco (where Delos just did their re-fit) where they can do haul outs and work at the marina and then just leave it down there on the hard, while Megan is back home with family getting her eye issue resolved. Then do your refit down there, especially where labor is cheap, trades are cheap, parts still available by shipment within a reasonable time period and condos are cheap to rent and stay in while you refit the boat. Then, once Megan recovers, she can come down together with you or meet you down there while you are overseeing the refit.
@@TheOKellys I'd say that pretty much says it. I hope you are able to get through your medical issues successfully and go find your ideal boat. Thanks for occupying my otherwise idle time . Good Luck to you both.
We are right at the beginning of Hurricane Season. Most marinas, including Ensenada, Cabo, La Paz etc are much more expensive than California. And they don't have space for big cats like that.
Your channel is the best informative sailing channel on TH-cam. l've learned so much and I don't sail. So much of your life explained is not sailing its persistence to a lifestyle that changes all the time. This moment is about Megan's health, the next day when all is clear ahead, the right boat will be there. We'll keep watching. God bless you and praying for your healing Megan 🙏
A boat is just a toy. Your perspective is spot on. We all love an adventure, boating, sun and water. But in the end, your loved ones are what truly matter most. They are not replaceable. A boat, house, car, etc. are replaceable! I have been treating precancerous spots on my face. I fully understand the gravity of the situation. Hope you have a speedy and successful recovery. Keep your heads high and hearts full for what truly matters most in life - love!
Hey Guys, so sorry to hear that another cat fell through and that Megan has to deal wth ongoing cancer issues. As you said, the cancer comes first, but a possible solution to the boat issue is to buy a nice, large monohull that you can dock anywhere, which cost much less to dock and haul out. For me, sailing is sailing and not being pressed for time, I don't care how long it takes as long as I can be out on the water. Yes, the health comes first. Without that, what is sailing anyway? It's just a boat.
Sorry for the continued setbacks. Was putting the boat on the hard an option? I know that could get quite expensive compared to a mooring. In any event, take care of Megan, have some fun, and post a video when you feel like it.
Hard to imagine there isn't a single place to put the boat on blocks soemwhere. That was my first reaction as well. Sounds like the deal is already dead in any case - bummer for you guys. And I think you are minimizing a boat purchase by calling it an expensive toy. First, it's your home. 2nd, it's your transportation for your adventures and your living, which is why we watch in the first place! And a boat is NEVER just a purchase, for people like us. It becomes part of your family. Good luck with the health issues and we will be there with you every step of the way!
@@Niagra2011 Bobby's latest video shows him buying a mono-hull in Greece to play with during the summer while he is waiting for his Catamaran to be completed.
About a year ago I met a young couple who were looking into buying a older cat. They were walking around the marina with their kids and were so excited about getting on the water. First boat mind you. As I went to bed that night they were on my mind and I realized I should have gave some advice. Next morning I went back to the marina and sure enough I ran into them again. I said to them, one thing you may want to consider before buying is to make sure you have a place to keep your boat for a while at least. Just in case you need some time to do some repairs and maybe get some lessons in sailing a huge cat. They both looked at me like I had lost my mind. Lol, they said, nope, we are taking off as soon as we get the deal done. I wished them luck and safe travels but always wondered how they did. You guys are wise and certainly did the right thing. Best of luck on your health issues. Looking forward to seeing your perfect boat when it comes.
This boat has been sitting on a mooring for five years. It isn’t to our standards for ocean travel. We’d planned on working on it for most of the summer.
I can’t even imagine the energy it would take to make this video. To hold it in your hands and have it gone in one quick moment. I wouldn’t have it in to detail any of it. I would shrink up and sleep for a month! So thanks. Get healthy and stay happy. We’ll be here.
What a difficult path. Megan, I hope you are healed up and in the clear ASAP. Nick, you are an amazing husband. I'm so sorry you two have had these disappointments on top of health issues. As you know, having one another and your family is the real treasure. Hang in there and I hope you guys get to sail around the world soon!
What wild emotional ride! Thanks for taking us along to learn from your experiences. A friend id dry storing her 42 foot catamaran in Anacortes. The yard has the launching, hauling, and storage of boats of all sizes figured out. I do not know if there is anything like it in southern California. I'm sure you tried everything. Keeping the faith!
Thank you for sharing your perspectives, not only on your boat search, but on life as well. You are an inspiring force. Meg, wishing you a full and fast recovery. Nick, may your doctor treatment fixes all "that" needing fixing... ;-)
So sorry to hear about the health issue and boat. I also had basal cell cancer on my lower eyelid about two years ago. An excellent eyelid skin cancer specialist worked on me here in South Florida, and I (eye) recovered well. I hope your procedure goes (went) well as you read this. By the way, have you researched any boats for sale here in Florida? It appears to me that there are many marinas that cater to multi-hulls and have space (Sunset Bay Marina & Anchorage in Stuart, FL being one of them). Wishing you both well.
Ya know, I realize this has got to be super frustrating for you but what an object lesson for all of your viewers on what it takes to be a prudent buyer when the market heats up. The same principles apply whether you are buying an rv, a house or a boat. I know someone who bought a house in a hot market after she’s seen it for 20 mins, she waived the home inspection to be the ‘winning’ bid and it turned out to be a nightmare It really gave me pause, nothing lasts forever, not even hot markets, and I decided to never be so desperate to make a purchase that common sense flys out the window. Happy you are staying the course and prioritizing health ❣️
Your optimism and enthusiasm in spite of life's 'obstacles' is contagious and helps put things into perspective...we just got our boat back in the water (still work to do) after 3 months on the hard (supply issues) so we understand the frustration...look forward to a happy outcome with Megan's skin cancer and your boat search ending ⛵👍
Bravo Clarity Crew!!! Thank you for the perspective-check, and it is awesome that you both recognize and embrace what is important. We can offer up some sailing on Gizmo if you find yourselves out East this summer to help scratch that itch. Sending you good vibes from the boatyard! Gizmo Crew
You two continue to inspire me even when you're NOT on a boat. I know you will resolve your health and boat issues very soon. Please keep your chins up!
Megan & Nick; you two are an inspiration to all of us that are looking for the boat life. Each new episode is a lesson in life. Your videos are so nicely done. Simply amazing. Thank you so much for sharing. Remember good things happen to good people. Keep living the dream and thank you for taking us along. Travel safe. Peace ☮️
Wishing the best outcomes for Megan. This video really hit home. We are currently scheduled to do a sea trial, survey, and rig inspection on our first sailboat in 10 days. Hopefully we will find it easier. She a 44’ foot monohull in sitting in Anacortes. We have found there are a hundred different factors that must somehow align to make this crazy dream come true. From work schedules, to boat issues, to health insurance, to slip availability, to rigger availability, to weather, to the tax man, equipment availability, custom and immigration issues, and on, and on, and on. Anyone one of these issues could derail the project. It will be a miracle if we are able to pull it off. And yes, the cash register is dinging very loudly. 😬
@@TheOKellys Thanks! You both played a role in our decision to purchase the boat and cruise full-time. Thank you for the great information you continually share. I have learned a lot from you guys…. from sewing tips from Megan, to weather tips, sails and sail trim, and boat maintenance from Nick. Hope Megan gets well soon and that you are able to finally find the boat that’s waiting for you.
So sorry to hear that this boat didn't work out. I really thought you had found it this time! I think you are thinking about it the right way and have the right priorities. Health is most important and hope that all gets resolved Megan. There will be other boats - it will happen!
We feel your pain. After selling our last boat, we moved from Seattle to Florida in hopes of having more slip options....not the case. We get asked on our channel all the time, when are you going to finally buy another boat? Sigh. Glad Megan is taking care of herself....health is our most valuable asset. Take care!!
Meg, first I want to wish you the best. I wanted share my same experience of backing out of buying a boat for exactly the same reason....I.E. too difficult to find places to moor the boat, in Florida! I had placed a deposit on Sailing Dauntless last year, checked the boat out and absolutely loved it. The family were awesome and great people to work with. I felt really bad backing out of the deal solely due to the realizing how difficult it is to moor the boat somewhere in FL. As I was a first time buyer, this issue (shortage of available space for cats) really scared me off. Thank you for all your entertaining and informative videos and I hope you find the perfect boat.
We ❤ you two and you’re perspective on life! Sorry about the last setback. Get well Megan and know that both of you are always welcome on Blown Away! Come stay with us in Cartagena this summer!
I really appreciate your mindset more and more every day, guys... You are authentic people, well anchored to the ground and with a deep human values. I'm happy having found your TH-cam channel, not only for sailing but for all other things that matter in life. Good luck with your cancer, Megan. I'm sending all good vibes to you. See you soon 💚💙
Ok 1 question... would you have been allowed to buy the mooring that the boat was on ? put it in the contract to buy for X dollars and if the original owner wants to keep the mooring for a new boat then you would sell it back to him for the same X dollars after the 3 months you need??? That way your boat would be on your mooring.. anyway just a thought.
Hello OKellys, thank you for this channel. You guys have a great attitude about this whole ordeal. It’s nice to hear a calm voice put things in the proper perspective. Immature people will keep a cool head if they see a mature person respond appropriately. You gave the right response. Lastly, I’m in the preparation stage of buying my boat. Once I’m ready I would love to have your experience by my side. Right now while I’m preparing I’m also still waffling between a monohull and a catamaran. When I’m ready financially and have stop waffling I will reach out to you.
Your positive attitude in such times should be and is inspirational. It is always important to remember what is truly important and your health certainly needs to be a top priority. Thank you for sharing!
I´m really enjoying the ups and downs you are going through. It is not that I like you having downs, but you are showing real life, and life is ups and downs. I like the search process and meanwhile you are offering very humble and honest lessons. I hope some day I can do my search too, and I will have ups and downs. But remember, that is how life works. Good luck and take care of yourselves!
Having deal with "C" in my family and be a care takers a few times taught me nothing really matters - it's the person you love, and in front of you and your ability to help them is. So guys are doing the right thing to take it easy a bit and deal with the issue at hand. And yes, Get well soon, Megan. BTW, even I don't own a boat, I do look check on those marina sites (come on, lotto!) I think there might be some end slips open in Norcal like Treasure Island (supposed they are still are expanding the marina) Vallejo also might be another spot to check out.
Wow! Just WOW! Can't believe this seller refused to work with you two over such a short amount of time! At some point you have to believe this is the way it was meant to be-and you are STILL headed in the right direction! Glad you folks are FOCUSED on getting Megan's skin FIXED-you know it's the right move now. I've had SURFSHARK for quite awhile-their program is AWESOME! Best of luck to you two-you have a LOT of followers who are wishing you the BEST! CHEERS!
Y’all have the priority 1000000% right. As much as we want to see you back on a boat…we want you to take care of self first. Come to the Chesapeake, the waters warmer and the jellyfish need company😂
look after yourselves first, boats second, best of luck, incomprehensible that this difficulty arose , very sorry for you. am in awe of your ability to avoid taking angst to heart.
So fun watching your show. Pulling for you Megan. That location on the eyelid of BCC is delicate. Just wanting to make sure Megan was aware the treatments with electrons or xrays (radiation therapy) was an alternative option with similar cure rates if Mohs surgery was going to be a risk of disfigurement. It takes longer but similar control to surgery and cosmetic outcomes are important too. Assuming you have heard of this but megan you should discuss with a radiation oncologist if you wanted to learn more.
Hi O'Kelly’s, I’ve been watching your channel for years and have been looking forward to the video when you actually have your next boat. Keep your spirit. You have everything in correct perspective. Health is number 1. The boat issue will work out in the end. I had a similar experience buying a catamaran. I live in a water front community with 3 marinas. In the summer of 2017 a friend turning 80 decided to sell the Seawind Catamaran I always wanted to me. His boat had been on the hard for 2 years. He had also paid his marina in the water slip through November. I had the boat surveyed and a sea trial then wrote a contract to buy with the condition I could take over his slip. The marina owner even offered a good price for winter storage on the hard. I bought insurance, completed the purchase and suddenly the marina owner changed his mind about both the water slip and the winter storage. I had nowhere to keep the boat. As the slip usage was in the contract I could have probably still backed out but I really always wanted that boat. I had to immediately remove it from the marina and had no choice but to anchor it in the nearest weather safe cove and wondered what I am to do now? I’ve really messed up. I went to all the local marinas but none had slips empty and large enough for me. I decided to buy a large, very heavy pyramid anchor and kind of create my own mooring system. I figured if it was ok for me to anchor it where it was then why wouldn’t the pyramid anchor be ok? My insurance company had no issue with it. There was however, also a marina directly in front of my house that was mostly very small boats that people have for the weekends. Certainly there was no space long or wide enough for me there. A few days later as I sat on my porch looking at those small boats in that marina it came to me. They have a place for my boat. They just don’t know it. I could visualize placing my boat at the end of one of their floating docks for the very small 25’ boats. I went to one of the owners and she said no I don’t think that can work but she agreed I should talk to her husband about it. He said sure if you can make it work go ahead. I constructed some unusual fender contraptions to keep the boat from any damage in any weather that could come and created my own new slip in their marina. They like the extra annual slip money too. My boat has been there successfully for almost 6 years now. There have been a couple very violent storms with 60+ knot winds with everything fine. I sail as often as I can and will soon leave for extended travels to far away destinations. So just when I thought things were at their worst, it all still worked out fine. The owner of the marina who changed his mind about me keeping the boat in his marina now has to see he did me a favor as my boat sits in front of my home. I’m sure everything will work out for you too.
Good luck guys. You are passing through complicated moment of the life and I send you my feelings. Hope for you this moment will be short and the return to water in short delay.
Boat life can be a real roller coaster, wishing you all the best getting back on the water! The amazing moments when our health, finances, weather, boat and crew all work out just right is what we do it for.
Wishing you well from a fellow Oregonian. Hubby and I are both born and raised Oregonians and love watching you. Praying that your health issues and biat hunt are resolved soon.
I feel for you guys. I'm frustrated with my own boat buying experience at the moment as well. But you're absolutely right to prioritize health. Be happy, be well, be patient. The right boat will find you. Even if it takes its own sweet time doing it.
I totally love you guys as well as the other cruiser adventurers. The only issue I have is all of you at pretty much the same time sold your boats and are either looking for a boat or waiting on the boat to be built. Gone with Wynns, Ruby Rose, Tula's Endless Summer and you guys. Jeez.......It's a good thing I can go back and watch the old vids cuz the stress you guy through doesn't give me the escape that I crave live vicariously through you. I hope guys get back on the water soon though!!
Seems like the health issues made you determine it what was better to not buy the boat more. Perfectly understandable. As some one else commented, the boat could have been sailed to Guaymas, Mx or Las Cabos, Mx or La Paz, Mx or other marina on the Sea of Cortez if there was not a berth in Ensenada. Also there are marinas in SoCal that have short term berths even if long term berths are not available. That way you could have several weeks to make sure the boat was safe and prepped to sail to Los Cabos / Sea of Cortez. Also they are not the most protected in the world but there are places to anchor in SoCal to wait for a weather window, get familar with the boat, prep the boat for the sail south. You could have anchored in Ensenada.
First of all !!! You are both special HUMAN BEINGS ! When things develop such as you are going through It is sign from the universe that is directing you to the place to our supposed to be and it will so much better than you could have hoped for!!! Many blessings and prayers for your health, ambitions and goals !!! GOD BLESS!!!! YOUR AWESOME!!!!
I hope you heal soon. Way to keep things in perspective and not let the disappointment take over and fog your view of what truly matters in life. Like you said, and I truly believe, there are no coincidences and everything will show it's purpose one time or another. We'll keep coming back to check and root for you! Cheers!
I find you two the most relatable of any of the channels I watch. Thanks for keeping it real. I can’t believe the saga of finding a boat continues, but like you said, it’s really a first world problem, as frustrating as it may be. Also, just this week I discovered I have basal cell cancer growth on the back of my leg. Because I’ve been following Megan’s journey it was a lot less jarring for me because I had more info than I would’ve had otherwise. So - thank you for sharing such personal info!
I’m so sorry you have to deal with this Scott, thank you for sharing your story and for all the kind words. I wish you all the best with your procedure.
This is why we watch the O'Kelly's. The humility and optimism in the face of a brutal cruel boat search. I just hope because of this you all don't jump at a boat that maybe doesn't suit you and you try to make it work because you've been boatless for so long. I mean you try to make it work but then she like why don't you want to spend time with me, you don't bring me flowers anymore, you never say I love you unless I say it first. You never...what were we talking about? I know you all won't do that though. You have strict criteria you follow. Don't let current desperation rob you of your future happiness because of past regrets.
Thanks Cliff. It’s certainly a risk, isn’t it? Getting desperate? We try to see things clearly. Will make a reasoned decision when the time comes. Thank you for the nice note.
Best of luck on the health issues. Your perspective on the truly important things in life is energizing to see. As you say, there are many boats out there and even if you have to expand you geographic area to research it will happen. It is the nature of boating.
Nick did you try Catalina? They may have something with their different locations and the trip over is really fast. Check it out if its not too late. And as always we are praying for Meagans complete healing...one cannot effectively sail without a healthy co-captain, so Megan, get well as soon as possible and until then we are confident that the right vessel will come your way! Love you guys, stay true to you ❤
I am bummed for you too! While on the grand scheme of things you are right, it’s small stuff, but on a personal level for you it’s VERY big stuff, and I think it’s important to grieve it, feel it, and acknowledge the enormous negative impact it is having on your life 🫶🏻. Sometimes social media makes us feel ashamed or embarrassed to share our struggles because someone out there always has it worse, but this is not about those someones, this about you two, and we are here for you! ❤⛵️
The enormous negative impact it has had on our life? I'll give that one to CANCER. It's taken loved ones from us. It has been disfiguring, painful, frustrating, deadly, heartbreaking... for us and for a lot of people we know. Not being able to buy a boat? That doesn't even register on the cancer scale. I can assure you we are really bummed about this boat falling through. But you know what? We don't have the perspective today to know what this turn of events means in the scheme of things. We were bummed about a previous boat falling through a few months ago and recently found out that we are EXTREMELY lucky we didn't buy that boat. And that is how life works...a mystery and an adventure. The SoCal boat...whatever...the seller didn't want to bend to our needs....it sucks....but we got to spend awesome time with our friends there in SD. We got to see how another old boat has held up over the years and what it costs to do this and that to bring it back up. We got to learn how to navigate new waters. We have new experiences and lessons we can pass along to our clients and our viewers so they might have a smoother path. We never get the day back...this is a one-way ticket. So, mourn, yes, but have gratitude as well. We don't know what this means.
I am very impressed by your stoic yet practical approach to this whole saga. Health is a crown worn by those who cannot see it, so please deal with the health issues and I am 100% certain that the right boat and opportunities will come your way. Looking forward to your next video. God Bless you both 🙏
Hope you get that cancer removed asap. And its been unbelievable to see you look for a boat and having it going the way it has. Stay positive I am sure good things are to come.
very unfortunate. I really feel for you. and honestly amazed that no marina was able to find a creative solution for you, including the original Newport harbor.
Stay strong and sending wishes for macula recovery. Moorings are a problem in many places but as you say there are far bigger things, it’s just a bump in the road. Stay humble. Andy UK
Best decision you two, the right boat will come along. Don't spend another second thinking about what you think you have 'missed out' on keep up with the positive messaging . Love to you both.
I helped a friend move his 62' Lagoon from Solomons, MD to Delaware Bay to be hauled out for a leaking shaft seal. He had been calling all over to find a yard that could haul the boat, and Delaware was the closest that could possibly handle the 32' beam. On the trip up the Bay, he called just about every marina from Annapolis to Baltimore looking for a transient spot for the night, finally finding a bulkhead at a private yacht club off the Patapsco River. Dockage and haulout problems for these big cats are not just a California thing! I think I'll stick with my 41' monohull...
Ohh guys, I've been following you for years but haven't commented before. I'm so sorry for you. You've had such bad luck. I'm a pommie expat in Australia and look forward to pursuing a similar lifestyle one day. I've also had a scare with cancer recently so realise how important your health is. Take a break and look after yourselves, first. The right boat is out there and will come along eventually. Keep your chin up! All the best, Justin.
Sorry you guys are going through this health issue again. You will get there as I’m sure people will agree that I think you are both an incredibly positive couple, and your statement on what’s important is very true. Thanks for the vids they really do cheer me up 😊
Your perspective is perfect and thank you for allowing us to join along. I'm sorry it didn't work out. Is there no "hard" space for the boat that's also secure? I ask because you only mentioned moorings or slips. 6 months on the hard while Meg's health issues are worked through might not be bad. Good luck. I'm sticking around.
If I see you not get another boat one more time. I’m done…. I can’t believe the bad luck you are having. Stay strong, get healthy, and hope to see you on the water.
Hopefully you get a positive and final outcome to your health issue. My Mum just went through a very similar issue including a couple of surgeries and is now on the other side of that mountain.
It is still great to hear the complications of boat buying. Take your time and get it right. Hopefully Megan's cancer is fully removed, my sisters bowel cancer as well (all cut out and 3 months of chemo and she seems to have won). Your videos are always great to watch. Would have been nice to see how well the light Outremer performed.
Being in the same boat as Megan (stage 3 Lung that seems to respond exceptional well to treatment) and same as you's had to stall boat purchase I could not agree more. Health is number one always. ..Bummer no solution was found but hey other boats will come up. In my case I had to change all future travel plans to suit the situation and my partner etc. Often good things come out of the chaos that breaks upon us. Best of luck fr Megan treatment
I’ve been following and subscribed to your channel for a while now. Wishing these health issues get resolved promptly and everything else works out in due time. Best wishes to you both as you always handle things with class and grace.
Megan and Nick keep your heads up i follow you all the time i am a ex-Royal navy sailor but i have stage 5 kidney disease but you show me we all have small problems to overcome keep going guys best regards Tony Ganner
Sorry guys. How very frustrating. I’ve recently been through a battle with Melanoma and I understand Megan’s challenge. I am in the clear for now but, like you I will have to be diligent for the rest of my life. You’ll find a boat. All the best.
Clarity…. And perspective, that’s where you are! It’s just a boat, and who knows, with the owner out of state and still registered under his name, it remains as is. Revisiting the boat when Megan gets the all clear is certainly an option. With the state of the financial uncertainty in the U.S. and the debt ceiling controversy, who can say. Perhaps this is a blessing in disguise, wait and see, get Megan’s health concern looked after! No mountain was climbed looking up. It was looking ahead! Good luck Megan on your treatment, your confidence in your team and you never know around which bend you may find your next adventure. It is what it is, All the best, cheers from further further North in Vancouver Canada. Soon you’ll Sail on and Smile. Doug
Total bummer on the logistics with this boat. My only other thing I was thinking is putting it on the hard, pull out of water. Costly yes but guess not an option. Love your perspective on life and your positive attitude. My other thought as I've watched this boat buying journey is, I know you cannot go back in time, but what you spent on travel, fallen through sales, etc could that money have been or could you save and get a new boat? Just wonder if Nick will buy low and make a bunch in the Stock/Equities/Financial market. Hope Megan can have this skin CA get resolved, pray for you to heal. I know it will work out and look forward to seeing you travel the world by sea. Thanks for sharing!!
Hi OKelly’s, I have my boat on a mooring in Newport Harbor, so I know exactly what you’re dealing with there. My understanding, is as long as the lease holder of the mooring is on the title (documentation) even one percent ownership, you can keep the boat on the mooring without a problem. I would think there would be some way to work this into the contract. I understand you have more pressing issues, but just thought this might help. Been watching your channel for years and really enjoy it, would love to have you as a neighbor for a few months! - Dale
Thank you for sharing yet another riveting video in the saga of your boat search. I find it all incredibly valuable and fascinating. You both have a wonderful and refreshing outlook on life. Wishing you both good health.

Thank you. Next chapter is unfolding.
Your humility and caring nature at the end of this video is just wholesome awesomeness! Get well Megan ❤
@@TheOKellys Yeah, looks a little " _tired_ " - I think you can and WILL do a lot better .. .. . ..
You put my thoughts into words a lot better than I could have. Thanks O'Kelly's for the quick reply.
Heck, I'd have helped Nick sail it South for free.
We are right at the beginning of Hurricane Season. Most marinas, including Ensenada, Cabo, La Paz etc are much more expensive than California. And they don't have space for big cats like that.

It's just a boat.
17:30 Nick nails it. Health is more important than anything else. You two have your priorities straight.
Sorry for the continued setbacks. Was putting the boat on the hard an option? I know that could get quite expensive compared to a mooring. In any event, take care of Megan, have some fun, and post a video when you feel like it.
Great Idea! I thought hard was cheaper? Could also change thru hulls & seals for confidence.
Where? We checked everywhere
@@tomjarecki the owner told us the boat wouldn't be available after May 26 as he was going to be on the east coast for the summer.
We will pray for your successful, quick and complete procedure!
Your honesty, optimism, and clarity are infectious. Thank you!!!
Thank you for sharing your perspectives, not only on your boat search, but on life as well. You are an inspiring force.
Meg, wishing you a full and fast recovery.
Nick, may your doctor treatment fixes all "that" needing fixing... ;-)
Thank you Juan Carlos
I know someone who bought a house in a hot market after she’s seen it for 20 mins, she waived the home inspection to be the ‘winning’ bid and it turned out to be a nightmare
It really gave me pause, nothing lasts forever, not even hot markets, and I decided to never be so desperate to make a purchase that common sense flys out the window.
Happy you are staying the course and prioritizing health ❣️
Nick and Megan, my prayers are for you. Health first and then all the rest.
Gizmo Crew
You are correct. Health trumps all.
Take good care Megan and you too Nick.
Regards from New Zealand.
Peace ☮️
Don't loose hope guys, the perfect boat is just around the corner. Health first. Speedy recovery for both of you! ❤
We bought Either Way in Anacortes. You will love the area. Amazing San Juans! Good luck to you.
You WILL find the right boat. Your priorities are spot on. Wishing you speedy recovery Megan. Love watching your videos!
Thank you so much!
Take care!!
At least in FL there are private options. There is absolutely nothing remotely like that in SoCal
Thank you for the kind note. Much appreciated!
But when your problem plate is full, it is full. The eye is the issue and must be taken care of.
We couldn’t offer enough to him.
Keep the faith guys! Love the message. You’re putting good stuff into the universe! And thanks for the levity at the end!
The Outremer will be available once Team O’Kelley is 100% healthy. Glad your priorities are in order. Get healthy soon!!!!!
Thanks for sharing the positive message above the personal disappointment.
You guys are exceptional!
BTW, even I don't own a boat, I do look check on those marina sites (come on, lotto!) I think there might be some end slips open in Norcal like Treasure Island (supposed they are still are expanding the marina) Vallejo also might be another spot to check out.
guys i love that you share the fears and the feelings
Hope the best for you guys. Get well soon Megan.
Wow!
Maybe. California is ridiculous for buying a cat.
Bless you guys. Health is #1. Hope all goes well for Megan. ❤❤❤
look after yourselves first, boats second, best of luck, incomprehensible that this difficulty arose , very sorry for you. am in awe of your ability to avoid taking angst to heart.
Wish you Megan fast recovery! Your dream boat will be found. Diligence ALWAYS pays off!
Just remember that we love you guys and we are in it with you for the long haul!
Thank you that’s good to know!
Keep the faith guys you will find what you want/need and I think you will find it sooner rather than later.
Screw the boat , I love that your love of each other is the focus. Get well soon Megan 😊
I hope guys get back on the water soon though!!
really nice seeing you keeping it real and down to earth about what life is all about.
Well done for staying so grounded about it. Stay well
First of all !!!
You are both special HUMAN BEINGS !
When things develop such as you are going through
It is sign from the universe that is directing you to the place to our supposed to be and it will so much better than you could have hoped for!!!
Many blessings and prayers for your health, ambitions and goals !!!
GOD BLESS!!!!
YOUR AWESOME!!!!
Thank you. Be the water, not the rock
God Bless you both 🙏
what a quote. Thank you. It is all working out perfectly, just as it always has and always will.
Hope you get that cancer removed asap. And its been unbelievable to see you look for a boat and having it going the way it has. Stay positive I am sure good things are to come.
You guys are such wonderful folks! Hang in there both on your health journey Megan and the boat search! Great video!!!
Best recovery from health issue Ms O'Kelly and good luck both of you going forward surely you'll find a better boat 😊
very unfortunate.
Thank you. Perfect words at the perfect time.
You guys are the greatest thing on the internet. Love you!! What a great attitude & perspective!
Ohh guys,
I've been following you for years but haven't commented before.
All the best,
Justin.
Health first. Every day is a gift.
I wish you a fast recovery. I would love to see you back soon
Sorry you guys are going through this health issue again. You will get there as I’m sure people will agree that I think you are both an incredibly positive couple, and your statement on what’s important is very true. Thanks for the vids they really do cheer me up 😊
Another reason to GO WHEN YOURE YOUNG!! lol, sniff sniff
@@TheOKellys you are still young and I’m the same age 🍷😄
Your perspective is perfect and thank you for allowing us to join along. I'm sorry it didn't work out. Is there no "hard" space for the boat that's also secure? I ask because you only mentioned moorings or slips. 6 months on the hard while Meg's health issues are worked through might not be bad. Good luck. I'm sticking around.
If I see you not get another boat one more time. I’m done…. I can’t believe the bad luck you are having. Stay strong, get healthy, and hope to see you on the water.
I love that you always provide great life lessons. Keep grounded and stick to your core beliefs and values. Follow that inner compass!!
Good on you for keeping the priorities straight. Continuing to pray for your health and future home.
Absolutely right, health is the priority. Great attitude and perspective. Wishing you good mojo!
So sorry for you both, wish the Mrs. the very best on the health issue. It is what is, don't give up.
As always such considered and honest views, so really appreciated. And good luck with the important stuff.
Vagabond's Outremer is for sale
Hopefully you get a positive and final outcome to your health issue. My Mum just went through a very similar issue including a couple of surgeries and is now on the other side of that mountain.
It is still great to hear the complications of boat buying. Take your time and get it right. Hopefully Megan's cancer is fully removed, my sisters bowel cancer as well (all cut out and 3 months of chemo and she seems to have won). Your videos are always great to watch. Would have been nice to see how well the light Outremer performed.
Both Kat and I respect your outlook on life.
Health is paramount for sure, when you get that all sorted out, Indonesia will still be here
Aww thanks guys, we miss you and hope to see you again very soon!!!
Praying for only the best for you two-Megan get your eye taken care of. Clearly the right boat and and the right place will appear soon. 🦋🌺🦋
I’ve been following and subscribed to your channel for a while now. Wishing these health issues get resolved promptly and everything else works out in due time. Best wishes to you both as you always handle things with class and grace.
that's very kind.
I’m so glad you’re okay Danny, thank you for your note.
Good decision to focus on whats important. Well done.
- Dale
Thank you. Yes, Newport harbor doesn’t mess around. We tried every angle. The seller….? We just don’t understand.
Thank you for sharing yet another riveting video in the saga of your boat search. I find it all incredibly valuable and fascinating. You both have a wonderful and refreshing outlook on life. Wishing you both good health.
