7th Edition was the set I started with. Ahhh, such nostalgia.
I have that 7th foil Shivan. One of my best trades ever way back in the day. 7th edition was one of the first sets I ever opened and played with, along with Onslaught. Great memories!

The only 7th foil I have is Thorn Elemental, and I've had it since I got the starter pack back in the day. It's near worthless, but it was my first ever foil mtg card and I love it
Mine is still in the plastic. It is the coolest looking card, ever.
Reason why it's worth $1.49...
3 million or so produced because it was in the game product guaranteed. Basic lands were made in even less ratio than the foil thorn elemental in plastic. There's a good reddit article on proposed print run per foil.
These were the first packs I ever had from my childhood 😭 such a classic!

Complete nostalgia. 7th edition was when I first started playing MTG. It would take a weeks worth of allowance just to purchase 2 packs. Was just as nervous and excited opening these as a kid as you guys were in the video. 😅

I have a slightly water damaged but decent looking foil final fortune. Sits flat in a sleeve but when you look very closely you can see it. No idea what to do with it.

Got quite a few foils from the early sets where foils became avaialble. Full set of the first set of Urza's Legacy but my playset of foil 7th Birds of Paradise are the Jewels in my collection.

couple of tornados ripped thru tallahassee yesterday so I'm currently watching on my phone in the dark waiting for the power to come back haha, good way to pass the time watching some nostalgic pack openings! sucks there was no foil rare, just means you guys gotta do this again!

My best 7th edition foil i own is an ensnaring bridge spanish mint packfresh with good centerns. It has a cutline but I think ill send it for grading someday anyways.
7th edition wasn’t super exciting when it was new , being excited for it now feels kinda surreal.
When pulling a foil meant something. This was great!
So I'm old, and back in the day, people didn't want to Crack Core Sets because the cards were all reprints and the foils were hard to come by. This was a brutal box opening for a $2800 booster, I own a SEALED 7th edition box and have every intention to leave it that way.

Pure nostalgia
Bro this is one of my favorite sets, sorry I'm late but not yet rightbecauseI didn't see this! My parents owned a card shop in Warren Michigan from 1999 to 2005 and we paid like $65 for these. Still this was one of my most favorite sets!

Nice! Too bad wizards won’t reprint certain cards or even whole sets. Don’t have to look exactly the same. But what would I know. Other companies seem to be doing fine off such a model.
Not every box has foil rares in them back then and some boxes people have bought have had three to eight foils. I mean so there was nothing guaranteed back then. That's why that said it's hard to get foiled

I started with 7th ed way back when i was an airman in 03
I hate buying revised packs back in the day because you can see through the top and see every card in it so it was very hard to pull anything good
Im collecting the time shifted foils from tsr. Theyve dropped a lot compared to release but still a bit expensive.
What pisses me off is that they put yawgmoth in dmr with an old border foil. Killed the price in half for the tsr one. Makes no sense whytheyg do rhis shit.

Wow...this product is so rare sealed, why open it? EV to cost is like less than 1%. I opened like 30 boxes of this over a decade over the years.
