This looks to be similar to the CD box set .. just on vinyl. Great if you want to collect vinyl.

The live songs from other albums are from the various B sides on singles from the Both Sides album.

@@EverythingPhilCollins They're all from the Serious Live In Berlin video release. The version of "Doesn't Anybody Stay Together Anymore" is special as it's a cool stripped-down version that's a million miles ahead of the studio release.
I have my original vinyl copy, I’ll stick with that.
The most incredible Both Sides b-side (for me) was the epic, sweeping and moving For A Friend, written for the late Don Myrick of the Phenix Horns. Such a powerful piece. I can see why it didn't fit on the album but it's sad that it all but disappeared as a rarity.
Edit: Rad Dudeski showed up as a deep cut cover on the Big Band tour!

Probably my favorite of his catalog. I Brought the 2016 vinyl reissue when it was on sale, which was nice. Will get the box set when it comes out. (And MAYBE the 10 inch on RSD).
I will wait for the 40th No Jacket Required to spend this amount of coin.
Take Me With You is the best b side of Both Sides was not available on vinyl before. It is the last song on Disc 5. I was waiting for Take Me With You on vinyl for years!! The other B sides are available on 7 inch singles. I have the original Both Sides on vinyl but I will buy the boxset and just for Take Me With You it is worthwhile. It looks Both Sides is basically the same version of 2015/2016. That version was also mastered at half speed by Miles Showell. And Record Store Day....fantastic...Mark Knopfler released a masterpiece this year - The EP The Boy with 4 songs cut at 45 RPM by Miles Showell. It blows your ears. It is only available on vinyl. I love Mark Knopfler and thank RSD for this album.

All sides, it’s a rehash of the 2016 cd release in most cases, I have 2016 vinyl so fine for me, All sides too expensive even in UK. Should have released more live songs from both sides tour which was brilliant.

The live and B sides on CD were hissy and mp3 sourced. Hopefully on vinyl they are better.

As excited as I am about seeing new Phil Collins releases, this is also way too expensive for me for a release including nothing new. I have the 2016 vinyl, and although the lack of bonus tracks on that release was a disappointment, I'm now going to spend £100+ just for bonus tracks I already have on CD. I wonder if the live tracks will be sourced of mp3 rips of youtube files this time as well. 🙄

Although I'm not keen on spending $124, I will save up and buy the Both Sides box set. However, I'm not going to pre-order. I'm going to wait until it comes out and wait to see if the price goes down, even if it's just a little bit. I've been buying vinyl for 30 years, and that amount will be the most I've ever spent on a multi-disc album/set. In the long run, it'll be worth it and a good investment. I missed out on the 2016 vinyl remasters. I didn't even know they were in existence. I knew about the 2016 remasters on CD, but I didn't get a single one.
It's not one of Phil's more popular albums so not even a lot of die hards will spend that much to get it.
I will wait till it's in the bargain bin.
Personally I'm disappointed with this one. Rhino or whoever is responsible for the anniversary release should do something more with it. Like I'm expecting something like what the Beatles or John Lennon did where there are 6 or 7 discs and they have demo versions of the entire album, stem mixes, alternate takes etc.
This sounds like they ported the contents over from the 2016 remasters with the exception of the new remastered album.
The Hand in Hand/Hang in Long Enough situation is quite weird to me too. I know Hang in Long Enough was played on the Both Sides tour but it's not very frequent AFAIK. There are stuff from the tour that could've been on there instead like Survivors, We Wait and We Wonder. Even One More Night could be on there too because the arrangement on the Both Sides tour is quite different. But the song choices are weird indeed.

Yah, I just don't get the thought process here. Some boxsets are really well done and others are just so weird. This one and The Last Domino are some of the biggest head shakes for me.

I'm in two minds about this. I (stupidly) didn't buy Both Side on vinyl back in 2016 so part of me wants to buy this to have that but then I do own the 2016 deluxe CD with these tracks soooooo it basically breaks down to paying over €100 for a double album. I did go and have a look on Discogs after watching this and I can pick up a copy for around €90...... which is still expensive but LESS expensive. *sigh* I just don't know. I'll hang fire, I think, and see if the album gets a re-press., if not then I'll go secondhand.
As far the 10", meh not interested but I am hoping (as you said and others here have written) that this is the start of, perhaps, some full live shows on vinyl. Especially from the But Seriously tour. There's some great SBDs out there (I have a real love for Sydney) so I'm sure they could find them. Fingers crossed!

I moved on from vinyl long ago but even if I hadn't I'd be wary about this release. When this came out on CD as part of the re-release campaign, all the b sides were MP3
I love this album more than anything and I really would love to have a new remastered vinyl (my 1993 is in a bad condition) but I don't understand why they do it so expensive. This extra material isn't worth it. Most of this, was released in 2015 and even if not...this makes me a little bit angry. If it would cost 80 or so I would buy it, but this price is ridiculous.
Wait about 6 months and stores still have it collecting dust on the shelves. The. It will be about $80

Great release BUT... Why two studio tracks at the end of the final disc? Why aren't them on disc 3? And why does "Deep Water Town" (both demo and finished version) have to remain unreleased??? Yeah, weird indeed.

This im pretty sure is all Concord/Craft Recordings, since I think Phil has very little to do with any of it anymore once he handed them the keys to the warehouse of his masters. They have to make their money back, and since Phil signed a long contract with Warner in 2015, everything is split between the two until the terms expire.
I think this is why we are getting the dump of vinyl reissues of the Genesis catalog as well.
