Beautiful sky, beautiful plane, and great flying control. I love seeing videos of modelers who can actually precisely fly the planes they build. Great scale takeoff and landing.
Beautiful plane and has the sound to go with it. I cant believe there is almost 3400 views and just over 60 likes, whats wrong with people. If i could hit the like button twice i would. Great job
I have seen one fly with the 125cc and it was fairly marginal on power. I would recommend use only 2 blade prop, to get the maximum out of the engine. The 180 flies comfortably on just over 1/2 throttle
Very nice work. I’m building this plane with a UMS 180. Wondering if you could give me some feedback on how you mounted the motor? It seems the right lower hole will be outside the engine box if mounted on the datum line of the airplane. I was using fusion to design a new firewall and was just wondering how you worked that out! Really beautiful work man!
I used an 18mm spacer block to mount the engine on the standard firewall. The bolt that goes along the edge of the firewall has its recessed head in the back of that block and the nut on the engine mount side. you can then use a "normal" bolt though the spacer block through the firewall in a more convenient position.
Very nice work I'm impress, i have the same with a saito fg 84 r3 however i have overheating issue everyone tell me i should open the engine cowl to increase the air intake. Do you have to opened your cowl ? how have you done to maintain the air ratio 1/3 ? thank you for your help Best regards from France and once again congratulation for your excellent work......
Hi, do you have the 2600mm span Fw-190? I have seen these fly with a 125cc radial and it was marginal in power. The Saito may not have the power for a 1/4 scale. I did do an engine baffle at the front of the cowl to make sure all incoming air must come over the cooling fins. I also made another opening on the bottom of the cowl a little larger than the exhaust openings on the sides.
@@ticketec Thank you i've seen the fg 84 fly this bird decently however a 150 or 180 must be a better option i'm looking forward for an ums one bur not enough intel that day about the reliability of these engine....
@@ticketec hi after all the consideration and testing with my fg 84 , i ve decided to follow your way for my fw. I m planning to put the 180 ums, my concern is about the location battery forward in the fuselage, for a perfect achievement of cg, and my last question is which size is your fuel tank for the 180 ? It's my first experience with a five cylinders, despite the bad reputation of ums in the past, I'm gonna try following your way. Thanks you very much for your reply that for sure will help me a lot overseas. Best regards from France.
@@castlefranck3979 Great move! All 3 of my battery's are in the tail compartment, under the tailwheel hatch. My fuel tank is 750ml, and I use only about 1/3 for a 7 minute flight. I am 1/2 throttle or less for most of the flights. You can see some of my build here, and I can respond with more pictures if needed: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3214715-New-Blackhorse-Model-2-6m-Fw190
Anyone know where I can purchase a FW190 Spinner like on this plane? I'm located in the states near Austin Texas. Gator rc is out of stock on the 3 blade which is about 4.5" diameter? Thanks Fred
Sorry I didn’t see this comment. The scale spinner needs to be closer to 5” diameter. This come came from aeroscale.com.au, but fighteraces also had 1/4 scale FW-190 spinners
2 blade? Yeah it should spin that fine. Run in was done with a 30x10. 3 blade, maybe. She feels a little under prop’d at the moment, 28x14 would be interesting to try

Thank you. Looking right on the ground is only 50% of the battle. Luckily she is a joy to fly
"Green Heart"! JG-54 emblem. You have a beautiful model. And it flies very well. Wonderful landing!
Awesome build ,great flying ,thank goodness you left your markings on there that’s the way it supposed to look
What a model.. and nice and slow.. Its like the full size model was shrunk.
Thank you. It’s a lot of fun to fly
All of that hard work paid off😁
Thanks mate. It was fun to detail and paint and I was much happier with the finish over stock
Nice flying field love what you did with the plane so much better 👍
Thank you. A few little changes and you get quite a scale FW-190 from this kit!
Just perfect!
Thank you. She is a pleasure to fly
Awesome plane & great skills. Greets from Austria 👍🏼
Sounds so sweet! I mean looks like a real plane.. incredible build my friend.
Absolutely incredible plane engine beautiful
Very beautiful plane and flying. Great skills Dave! Cheers from Austria.
Beautiful plane and beautiful flight. I’ve been looking at the ums motors and they seem to be really nice motors from what I’ve seen.
Odlicno za 10
Lovely model and beautifully flown 👌🏻
A work of art, beautiful!!!
Very, very nice, gear lengthening was worth the effort.
Thanks mate. She’s ready to fly top cover for the Ju-88 now😎

Haha! Very kind of you
Wow..dude...2 thumbs up..thanks.
Very nice.
I want to buy an Engine in the next month, still not decided if i should take the Moki or UMS 180…
I have not had any drama with mine. And the $2K difference helps
Fantastic build 👏👌
❤ that 190 got one and have a ums 125 to put in it, hope it has the power?

Scale flying to the the tens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beatiful . fantastic
That Engine Sounds Incredible 😮😮😲😀😊❤️ What Fuel Does It Run and Did It Require Break In 😀 What an Amazing Job Building This Plane 😮👍🏼
Thank you. It’s a gasoline engine and mixed with oil. Yes it needs a long breaking in process.

You need to mount a GoPro on the front of the plane so you can get a pilot's perspective that would be really cool🛩
Oh! So cooooool~
What type of paint did you use. rlm color codes ?
Hi, the paint is PPG Dulon automotive acrylic paint with a 2k flat clear coat to finish. The paint was custom mixed to match RLM paint chips I have.
Love it
Hi mate, what size prop are you running?
26x16
Do you think the engine could take a 28x14?

How is the ums holding up? Any real issues with it? I’m looking at different engines for this and am just curious what your thoughts are so far
So far it has been great! I’ve got plenty of flight with it now and love it
Wspaniały !
God Dam floater!
👍 wow...
Bravo !!! Excellent !!!Very strong !!!
ums is a Indian brand right ? by the way awesome plane man
Yes. Originally it was Seidel radials from Germany
Was it a kit or custom?
It’s the Blackhorse kit, with customizations to make it look the way it does
Nazi swastika sign🤮
It’s a German WW2 aircraft… the markings are there purely for the sake of being historically accurate. Good work on your virtue signaling 🙄
Hey mate what size prop are you running?
Biela 26x16 3 blade
Awsome I am currently building the exact same model with the 180ums 5cyl. How did you find the CQ? Did you have add much tail weight?
@@crzycro982 I have all my batteries in the tail wheel compartment and added no lead at all.
