Costco sells the Casper mattress for $600 for a queen, $400 cheaper than on the Casper website and most any other site. Makes a huge difference in comparison shopping. You're welcome.
I have a 10 inch hybrid queen mattress from sunrising bedding, it was less than $500, I'm very happy with the quality, comfort, and value of this mattress. Highly recommend!
I watched TH-cam videos for months to determine the best mattress for me. I went with a Purple 3 mattress and I can tell you I absolutely love it. It's comfortable and I do not get overly hot at night in comparison to memory foam mattresses. The most important thing to note is that I relied on the opinions of Jeff more than any other channel and I trust him to always give unbiased, reliable opinions about the products his team tests.
I am a stomach sleeper and sometimes side. I absolutely love the Nectar! I literally would always wake up with pain in the back and the left side of my waist. I never new that it was the mattress I was using. Because ever since I got the Nectar, I have been waking up SOOO refreshed and 100% pain free!!!
So glad ya'll give such in-depth details and descriptions of the different mattresses! (and make the videos humorous, so they're easy to watch and follow)
I bought the Purple 4 about six months ago. I loved it in the store, and wanted to try something new and different. Wow, what a payout, the bed is awesome. I don’t think I’ll ever sleep on anything else.
We've had a nectar for about a week and one-half. I was so excited and knew I would just love it! As my grandmother used to say, it's not what you don't know that gets you in trouble, it's what you know that isn't so that created the trouble. Such is the case with the nectar mattress. I'm a larger girl and this is definitely not the mattress for me. I toss and turn trying to find a position that doesn't kill my hips. I can't stay in bed more than 6 hours before my hips and back are giving me fits. My husband is quite slender and his back is much worse since getting this mattress.
I second the Purple Hybrid! I weigh 400+ lbs with a fractured spine and loose connective tissues and have had my Purple Hybrid for 3 years. Both my significantly lighter boyfriend and I still get amazed how amazing the bed is. I no longer wake up needing to rest my back in a different position before I get my day started and I actually get scared when I know I'm going to have to sleep in a hotel bed because I know it's not going to be a Purple and I will need to take the max dose of pain reliever to get through the next day.
I’m a 70 year old 215 lb male I bought the Casper Queen at Costco for sale priced $479 obviously easy to transport and setup. Buying mattress is really stressful and much worse than buying a used car, in case you have even bought one. In last five years I spent a few thousand trying to get a good mattress. Today ordered a Saatva firm, willing to try and return with $99 fee. It has very positive reviews online and hope this one works out. One thing I realized that I need a firm mattress that wont 'break-in' to become soft in a year. If Saatva Firm doesn't work then I'll build my own mattress: put layers of plywood, top it off with two layers of carpet padding, top that with a 1 inch mattress topper.

Great review video. Am a foam mattress user since 1996 and cannot live without foam. My first mattress got online for 900 shipped and set up for me and lasted 15 years till the memory went out. Ever since is a struggle to find a mattress so i started buying toppers. Bf bought us an iserta that went flat in a month so i bought more topper and it works. Now am looking to sleep without dogs lol which lead me here. Back in the day all you got is 2 layers of foam and now is overwhelming getting 4 layers like what to do lol. Might get nectar for the price and then a latex topper that is firm so it lasts over 20years like mylatex pillows.
You should mention in your videos that the 365 day trial period for Nectar does not begin until 30 days after it is delivered to you, you actually get 13 months to try it out. Nectar says on their web site that they do it that way because a person needs at least 30 days for their bodies to adjust to a new bed, after the initial 30 days is when the 365 day trial then begins.
I have an 8 year old saatva and never liked it 100%. It's one of the original luxury firm coil beds and it's too springy/wobbly for me. Now it sags a tiny bit and my back has issues now... Not sure if it's the mattress's fault but it no longer helps so I'm searching something else... if you have yours now, How is it?
@@kohort1 I just got mine replaces, the first one was too firm. Just got the plush 14 and a half inches. it's only been 2 days.. I'll get back to you about the new one..
@@sheilatoro2753 ah shucks. Yeah, I realized I got the firm 11". That said it feels firm enough but it's as if the lower layer of coils are weaker than the upper layer of coils so it just always felt comfy enough but unstable. So I just lived with it. Anyhow the diagram looks like there is some type of edge support and I don't think mine has any so maybe the newer ones are improved. When I stay at hotels and such I often prefer their beds.
I recently bought an iyee nature queen sized 10 foam mattress from Amazon. It’s a medium firm, and I’m loving it so far. I don’t really sink down that much. I’m 6’4, and 235 lbs by the way. The mistress contours to my body really well, and has relived me of my back pain.
I got a casper about 4 weeks ago. Its way firmer than i thought it woukd be. I even went to a casper store to try it out before i bought it and my wife and I fell in love with the one in the store. When i brought it home I thought it was much firmer than the one we tried, but she loves it. I dont think ill return the mattress, as i am kind if getting used to it. Its very comfortable but i wish it was a tad softer. Im about 190lbs and when you sit on it you sink right to the last layer of foam but when you lay on it and your weight is distributed you almost float on top of the bed.
First I love your videos, Thank you for posting!! I do have to disagree with the Nectar bed being an mattress for all types of sleepers. I have found that back sleepers would benefit best with it. When I lay down on my back I can feel all the pressure release at the pressure points and I fall asleep faster. However, I'm a stomach/ side sleeper and have found this mattress to be too firm, my husband is a side sleeper and agrees that its too hard for him. We both wake up with hip aches due to this mattress. We also have been sleeping on it for 3 1/3 months and havent felt like we have had all that restful of sleep because of it. So if your back sleeper this mattress is for you!
We got a nectar too, and were expecting better sleep. I'm currently looking for another mattress and I'm giving the nectar to my son. If I sleep on it over 8 hours I get out of bed in pain. Also, maybe it's me, but it's really hot to me, and I usually wake up sweating. We wanted to like it, but we just don't.... My son does though, so there's that.
I am 31, 400 lbs, and have spinal issues. I got a Purple Hybrid mattress a few years ago and it has been the most amazing bed I have ever slept on. I no longer wake up in debilitating pain and it's not too hot, firm, or soft. After 3 years, my side of the bed is definitely more broken in than my boyfriend's side, but it's not uncomfortable at all. I don't go on vacation very often, but every time I think about sleeping at a hotel I get sad because I know they won't have a purple mattress. Before Purple, I used to dream about sleeping in a hotel bed.
You said they're all good for all sleeper types. The memory foam had a memory foam feel. I still dont know what to buy bro! 😂 Edit: I got a Tempur-Pedic last year. It reigns supreme.
@@workinginreverse I exchanged it two weeks ago for a Loom & Leaf. Saatvas memory foam, sister company. So far, I like it better. The springs in the Saatva were uncomfortable and it was much too firm.
Thank you for the videos. I accidentally got to lay on a purple 4 Hybrid at Macy's the other day while I was killing time between MD appts. I did NOT want to leave. As I lay there I thought they should have places you can go to get a nice whirlpool bath and a nap on one of those dream machines. I also wish that purple would start making inserts for shoes and maybe mattress toppers so folks like me can afford to have a beautiful night of sleep.
WKaliberr Obviously someone who has been skinny forever. I was 400 lbs but am now down to 250. Your comment about “just lose weight fatty” implies that It is as super simple. Don’t be rude and insulting.
I have had the ghost bed luxe for about two years and have been happy with it. I am 6’0” and ~210lbs. I tried several other memory foam mattresses before I chose the ghost bed luxe and there were a couple I could have found myself buying, but I just liked the ghost bed a little more. I also tried the original Purple mattress and whatever the various luxury models were named too and it was very comfortable but had a slight water bed like feeling from that rubber grid, but I just laid on it and never actually slept a night on it.
I think this was a good review. I purchased a nectar. I do like memory foam, but I ‘returned’ the bed before 30 days. I don’t tend to have back issues, but with this mattress I did. I love sleeping on my stomach, but could not with the nectar. Their return policy is you must give the mattress away to a nonprofit group and then send a receipt to them before they will refund your money. If you get the bed financed as I did, they will pay the balance off, but will not refund the payments made. Just a heads up. Check the return policies and finance option/policies.
Thank you for the video, we are trying to decide on a new mattress and I like how you gave your opinion on each mattress, i am a hot sleeper so we will go to a store and try a purple mattress first. Watching from Texas!
Brenda Mendez I freaking love my purple mattress! Absolute one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I literally used to wake up every night with lower back pain its been over a year now and I haven’t once woke with back pain. I’m 6’4 215lbs and my wife is 5’1 110lbs and it works perfect for both of us. It really is so adaptive to every person and sleeping position. I was the first one to buy one in my family and now 4 of my sibling have bought one. Definitely worth the risk. And if it doesn’t work out for you their customers service is unbelievably easy to work with to get your money back.
It's great, they gave money back warranty for the trial period so if u dont like it u give it to charity of your choice which I think it's great... but I like my Purple mattress ... its everything I wanted in a bed and more... I tend to sleep hot and specially during the summer with night sweats but now those sweats are a thing of the past because the bed keeps me cool all night which is awsome because of the airflow and those elastic polymers are actually cool to the touch so its perfect for summer
Honestly no clue which bed I have, all I know is that it’s a Tempur-Pedic. I find mattress stuff confusing but this channel is pretty good at simplifying things from a consumer perspective.
Just got nectar. Excited to get it. It came with the 2 free pillows Free sheet set And a mattress cover. And I got a bed frame and head board for $250 originally $600
Thanks for the video! Really appreciate all of the time and effort put into your work. It really helps us consumers decide which way to go. I might end up trying the purple mattress based on all of your reviews. Thanks again!
I am super happy you guys made this video cause I currently have a spring bed and it’s killing my back! 😩 this really helps me narrow down on what mattress will be best for me! 🤘🏽
Got my first foam bed 9 months ago and Serta's warranty is bullshit. May have to look into that ghostbed. appreciate the video you earned the thumbs up.
I have a Leesa for a year and a half, aafter a while I wake up with pain on my upper back....its getting worse, I'm getting the Nectar hopefully its softer and eliminate that ache. I also have a Casper and after 2-3 years it still feel great.
Heard a lot about these foam mattresses that over time they do not recover, and many sleepers reporting the mattresses sunk over time, especially if you are 200lb plus.
My wife and I have had the '.2' queen for about 65 days and love it and don't find it too firm. After the first 10 days we briefly discussed switching to the '.3', but after another week we concluded the '.2' is perfect - just the right amount of soft and support. My wife is about 175 lb and I am 190 lb. She is a combo back/side sleeper and I am a combo stomach/side sleeper. Before this bed we've always slept on traditional spring mattresses on the firm side.
The classic purple bed is the same price as the others on this list. It just gets pretty spensive if you get one of the newer ones. You can also get them on a payment plan. 0% interest if you have good credit.
We just bought a Purple 4, have had it for 30 days and are goin gto return it. We have wanted one for a couple years, not as comfortable as we had wished or hoped for.
@@eilenekellogg7017 I LOVE IT! I purchased the Twin XL for my tractor-trailer and actually prefer it to my Queen size mattress at home! It's so comfortable!
I used to have the OG purple, I liked it, but had to leave it behind when I moved. Decided to go with the Purple 3, not a fan. I’ll be returning it for the original purple and save $1,500. I’m 5’11” and 165 pounds.
Matt Carrier purple 3 felt too firm. I think the OG purple with the 2 inch elastic is the sweet spot because it allows you to sink into that nice plush foam underneath. The springs with the 3 seemed too firm for my body type.
I have the first purple they made. I recently bought a sleeponlatex topper for the bed and this has made it cool to sleep on and I slept 12 straight hours one night!!!! I’m at least sleeping through the night now. Next spring I will be ordering the sleeponlatex bed. I bought the pillow too and it’s a dream ❤️❤️❤️

Would you still say the Nectar is good for you? I've had mine a year, and I thought it was great at first, but after a few months, I have not slept through the night since then. Awful for me...
Have the Purple 3 I think! Lol Amazing doesnt touch this bed! Sadly within 1st month had severe spiral fracture to tibila, was put on seriously strict bedrest for 6 months!! Would have been impossible without this mattress!! 0 pressure point pain, and not any "cant get comfortable" whining at all!!
Thanks for the review. I'm leaning toward the Purple. I don't like the feel of the foam mattress. My GF has the memory foam and don't care for it. The one I have now is 15 years old and still works but should be replaced. I'd like to something nicer too and I think Purple is the way to go.
@@OwlsUniqueSounds Oh I wish I did. I ended up going with the cheaper GhostBed mattress. It felt good at first and liked it for about a year. And after about 2 years, it started to hurt my back. I keep telling myself I should have got the Purple mattress. Oh well. The old mattress should be good for another year and then I will get the Purple mattress after that.

I’ve owned two saatva mattresses. Medium and firm. They loose their supportiveness very quickly. Within months. The first one, medium, lost all supportiveness almost immediately. Probably three months in. The firm mattress was given as a warranty claim for the first one failing. The firm mattress held up a bit longer but was unsupportive within a year. The firm mattress is seriously firm. It’s like sleeping on a car hood every night. I can’t fall asleep easily, I wake up in pain, and I don’t get restful sleep often. Saatva has ruined my life.
I am on my second defective nectar mattress ! Both only expanded to 9 inches ! My first one was very uneven and had large depression at the bottom of the mattresss. Comfort was not an issue but product quality was !
Erik Richey what you think about it I have purple but I move to another state so I want to get something cheaper than purple because I don’t see myself buying a thousand dollars mattress again within a year
It is good to have video reviews but sometimes they don't help in clarifying anything. They review the mattresses but then they give you the impression that they are saying they are good but it almost always comes to the price it seems the pricier it is the better it is I am not sure that is always the case but they seem to imply it and unfortunately that is how things are if you have the money you are most likely going to find the better product.
Love the memes! Decent review too, editing on point. Keeps it short and interesting. Good job, I'll be buying non of these over priced seat cushions. But I will also criticize that ancient coil tech, REALLY , we have a space station. I think we can do something better than metal frigging coils.
I have the purple 4 as well. My husband loves it. He is about 220. I'm smaller and it causes my back to hurt every single day. We've had it around a month and it has to go back =(

Excellent review. Helpful too. Saatva, great mattress, yet the pillow top gets compressed in about 6 months. Casper, too soft & returned. Ghostbed, poor edge support. Sitting on edge to the shoes & practically slide off.

I really want to try purple. Saatva seems good to.
Ordered the Saatva😄
@@kohort1 that was the first bed I got and I've made them come right back for it.
You’re 6’4”, 235lbs and the mistress contours to your body…? Well, aren’t you quite the stud?
I got a casper about 4 weeks ago. Its way firmer than i thought it woukd be. I even went to a casper store to try it out before i bought it and my wife and I fell in love with the one in the store. When i brought it home I thought it was much firmer than the one we tried, but she loves it. I dont think ill return the mattress, as i am kind if getting used to it. Its very comfortable but i wish it was a tad softer. Im about 190lbs and when you sit on it you sink right to the last layer of foam but when you lay on it and your weight is distributed you almost float on top of the bed.
I have a nectar and love mine! If you like firm mattress that doesn't sink much then you should go with a nectar.
I'm a big dude so I got a Saatva. Great bed and you can use it was an adjustable base.
Edit: I got a Tempur-Pedic last year. It reigns supreme.
it really comes down to personal preference. no one mattress is right for everyone.
I have a Saatva getting dropped off Wednesday. It was hard to decide, but they offered me financing, so that sealed the deal.
Sleep on the floor like man
@@alexandersean3801 sooo, how is it?
I'm actually not quite sure what bed i have but i'm looking for a replacement and considering purple because of you guys
Just bought a Ghost for my wife and myself thank you for the updated review and links it really helped.
I own a traditional mattress but I believe it's time to move on and purple seems to be the way to go. Thanks for the review
Thanks for watching!
I love my Saatva. We have the medium firm (hotel firm) and the soft versions. Both are amazing, and don’t sleep hot. We are not heavy people.
I’m leaning towards that one. If you were only allowed to keep one , which one would you keep? The medium firm or the soft? Thanks
Did you get the latex hybrid or the traditional coils?
I cannot find the link for your discussion on heavyset sleepers.
too bad, lose weight fatty
@@WKaliberr what an asshole
WKaliberr Obviously someone who has been skinny forever. I was 400 lbs but am now down to 250. Your comment about “just lose weight fatty” implies that It is as super simple. Don’t be rude and insulting.
Kinda hard to lose weight if you are always tired.
Titan and Big Fig are specifically made for heavier people. 250+lb
Thank you I want to head and tried the purple standard size full size
Check the return policies and finance option/policies.
eeyorrcrazed thankks
I'm a stomach sleeper as well❤️ What did you finally get? I was thinking about a Hybrid.
Thank you for the video, we are trying to decide on a new mattress and I like how you gave your opinion on each mattress, i am a hot sleeper so we will go to a store and try a purple mattress first. Watching from Texas!
I'm super intrigued by the purple mattress. Don't know that I'm brave enough to give it a try though
A lot of our team members really like Purple. Very unique mattress.
Be brave! You can try it out for 100 nights and if it isn't a perfect fit, then return it for a full refund :)
Brayden did you buy the original purple mattress?
Honestly no clue which bed I have, all I know is that it’s a Tempur-Pedic. I find mattress stuff confusing but this channel is pretty good at simplifying things from a consumer perspective.
I’m “chemically” sensitive and new beds are a nightmare for me because of the foam etc. Could you talk about the smells with your reviews? Thanks!
Love the nectar mattress. Just bought another one for our son
Awesome review!! I've been looking for an in-depth unbiased review on all of these mattresses for a while now. Glad I found this!
Just got nectar.
Excited to get it.
It came with the 2 free pillows
Free sheet set
And a mattress cover.
And I got a bed frame and head board for $250 originally $600
Awesome. hope you love it
RIZKNOWS thank you!!!
I’m hoping I like it too. But that 365 return policy is a nice backup if I don’t.
@emily s how is it? :) thinking about getting it
Thanks for the video! Really appreciate all of the time and effort put into your work. It really helps us consumers decide which way to go. I might end up trying the purple mattress based on all of your reviews. Thanks again!
Thank you for the kind words! We appreciate your support!
We have a casper and we have a sealy firm. ones too hard one is too soft!! Going to try again with another.
I definitely need a new mattress, I’m in my mid twenties and I’ve been using the same mattress since I left the crib. Even then it was a hand-me-down.
I feel you, I've always used shitty mattresses 😂 I want to change my sleep habits lol
It will change your life man
I have a Leesa for a year and a half, aafter a while I wake up with pain on my upper back....its getting worse, I'm getting the Nectar hopefully its softer and eliminate that ache. I also have a Casper and after 2-3 years it still feel great.
You guys do a very nice and thorough review for each mattress, nice job!
Heard a lot about these foam mattresses that over time they do not recover, and many sleepers reporting the mattresses sunk over time, especially if you are 200lb plus.
Before the video: Nectar ad and Puffy Mattress ad
Great advertising
bought a purple mattress about 8 months ago and i love it, i went from memory foam and this is the best mattress love my purple mattress
The purple?
I really like and appreciate the disclaimer at the beginning. I was wondering what influenced these reviews.
I want a purple but they're so expensive
I tried purple in Macy's and I like but it is out of my budget. I am looking at Brooklyn Bedding now.
I would love a purple 4! Maybe someday.
Leonardo Alonso LMAO😂
My Casper arrived today. I weigh 303 pounds. Their new improved model has springs, as well as foam. I hope I didn't make a mistake!
Roger please let us know how it works out for you!
Statham _ in what way was it worse to you?
Matt Carrier purple 3 felt too firm. I think the OG purple with the 2 inch elastic is the sweet spot because it allows you to sink into that nice plush foam underneath. The springs with the 3 seemed too firm for my body type.
I'm 170lb side/back sleeper and for 5 years I've used my BedInaBox pacbed and it has been pretty great but I'm considering the Purple now
Purple still seems pretty cool. Then saatvathen ghosted.
I have the Purple bed and I haven't slept one straight night since I got it. Expensive and uncomfortable. I should have returned it.
@@jrey5435 dont believe you you have the purple 2.0 ?
Jody Rae Reynolds Which Purple do you have?
I have the first purple they made. I recently bought a sleeponlatex topper for the bed and this has made it cool to sleep on and I slept 12 straight hours one night!!!! I’m at least sleeping through the night now. Next spring I will be ordering the sleeponlatex bed. I bought the pillow too and it’s a dream ❤️❤️❤️
@@jodygrodyus1 I've heard mixed reviews on the original Purple. The new Purple uses Coils Under The special purple layer...and I've testing it out. It feels amazing. Just out of my budget.
I love watching your guys videos. When we get extra money we are definitely getting a purple hybrid. We have a dream cloud bow and well it’s starting to sink in the middle and dream cloud won’t give us the same mattress we bought so we are hoping when my job comes back. We just got my daughter a new used bed and took the chance with a used mattress and I hope I can afford to get her a full mattress before us. Keep showing us what you do. Thank you

Thanks for your comparison. Looking for the link of beds for heavy people.
I've tried most of them, but Nectar was the best overall!
How disheartening -- I've had the Nectar for a year, and I can hardly sleep at night. Its so awful for me. :'(
Have the Purple 3 I think!

Did you end up buying the purple mattress? if so, how is it holding up now?
@@OwlsUniqueSounds Oh I wish I did. I ended up going with the cheaper GhostBed mattress. It felt good at first and liked it for about a year. And after about 2 years, it started to hurt my back. It was still very foamy and started loosing its firmness after the first year. I still had my old standard mattress so I am sleeping on that again. I put the ghostbed in the visitor's room for now. I keep telling myself I should have got the Purple mattress. Oh well. The old mattress should be good for another year and then I will get the Purple mattress after that.
@@kevinerose I was looking at Ghost bed before, but saw another brand called Simba which seems a bit similar to ghost bed. I might end up going with purple since they seem more durable. I also like the fact that purple has a trial period

and also was lumpy and not comfortable..We are returning it. will try a Eclipse 15" inch..Hope it will be level..
Story of my life! It’s not the only thing not expanding to its full inches-if you know what I’m saying🤣

Can't believe some foam layered together sells for hundreds and over a thousand 😂.
Agree! Then I think about the fact that a return has to go straight into the dumpster.... but still...
They are built with low density foam and that is why it so easy to ship condensed. They are also lighter and have less involved internally.
Quality high density foam is expensive to use to build your product. Most gel products only keep you cool for the first 30 minutes of sleep.
Erik Richey what you think about it I have purple but I move to another state so I want to get something cheaper than purple because I don’t see myself buying a thousand dollars mattress again within a year

Although, the whole video is worth the watch.
Valuable information delivered in a professional and entertaining manner. Good work.
I am more confused than I was before watching the video.
They got all the matresses for free, so they never really said anything negative about any of them
Love the memes! Decent review too, editing on point. Keeps it short and interesting. Good job, I'll be buying non of these over priced seat cushions. But I will also criticize that ancient coil tech, REALLY , we have a space station. I think we can do something better than metal frigging coils.
If it means sleeping like a baby, definitely going to look into investing in a purple mattress.
Really expensive but you’ll not regret trust I don’t regret
Babies don’t sleep well lol
I've already bought a Brooklyn Bowery after extensively watching your videos. I still watch your mattress videos lol

Excellent review. Helpful too. Saatva, great mattress, yet the pillow top gets compressed in about 6 months. Casper, too soft & returned. Ghostbed, poor edge support. Sitting on edge to the shoes & practically slide off.
