There isn’t any transmission coolant lines running to the radiator correct? Found a 2017 Elantra with a “locked” engine for sale that’s pretty cheap and the car looks good might grab one out of the junk yard and swap it in and use for a daily.
There is trans cooler lines going to the radiator I believe. But I take them off in the video. But if you can get them to actually sell it for cheap I’d do the same I love these cars just weak motors. Best of luck. Thanks for watching!
Really depends where you live. For me I leave mine off. But I live in the south and there’s never any salty roads or anything that it needs to help protect against. But if you live near the ocean or where it snows a good bit every year, then I would leave it on. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Couldn't you just pull the intake and shift the engine and transmission forward a little to drop it so you don't have to drop the subframe? Maybe even pull the fan?
Do you happen to have a video of what you did after removing the engine and transmission together? No one ever has a video of the process taken to separate the trans from the engine while its on the cart lol.
Unfortunately no. I always figured if you remove it then separating it is the easy part. If I make another video in the future I’ll make sure to show that. Best of luck. Thanks for watching!
That table cart looks super useful.
It is really nice. I really wish I would have made one sooner. It’s made dropping and putting it back in super simple. Thanks for watching!
You make one hell of a job look easy! Good deal!
Haha ya this one is defiantly one of the easier ones. But thank you. Thanks for watching!
Brother, you’re the best, thanks for well detailed video, keep making
Thanks! I really appreciate that. Best of luck. Thanks for watching!

is the splash shield critical to have? I was thinking of removing mine just to have the easy access underneath

Can you remove the engine alone through the top of the car? I don't have a car hoist to lift it into the air
Plenty of room I’m betting it can be done. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

No the subframe is all in the way. But at least it’s super easy to remove. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Great job.
Thank you! Glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
Would this be very similar to a Hyundai Santa Fe 2017 ?
Unfortunately it’s not the same. It should be similar. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

How much did this cost
Labor is 11.6 hours. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
worst part is reassembling things the confusion is huge
Haha true. I always go in reverse order. But it’s always easier taking things apart. Best of luck. Thanks for watching!
terrific !!!!
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
If you were going to remove the battery, should always do that first
It’s not going to hurt to drain the fluids first. The main thing is you want to remove the battery before disconnecting connectors.
