This is super helpful, thank you! It had been a while since caring for a pink quill and now that I'm in a different state and environment, I had to re-learn things and in a different way.
I missed my pink quill flower. She already went green on me. I'm hoping for pups now. And what do you recommend to do once she pups since I'm a first time owner of this plant? Do I let them grow as a group? Or separate them? How do I do that? Thank you.
Bro! I just got one of these plants and this video is SO helpful. Thanks for all of your knowledge. I'm going to totally let the pups do their thing and get a few going together. Thanks for the water tips! I have well water but it's softened, so I'll switch to distilled for sure.
I bought one of these plants (air plant) a couple of months ago and it was starting to bloom, but unfortunately the blue flowers turned brown and died off and leaves burned. I live in Florida and the sun was too strong for the plant. I also think it wasn't watered as much as it needed. I suppose it won't be flowering any more since the flower spent. I moved the plant to a spot with indirect sunlight. Thanks for posting the video
My quill was super fuschia when I got her, and is turning quite pale. Is this a normal part of her life? She’s in an indirect eastern window and I mist every other day. I don’t see any pests. I’m wondering if she’s already bloomed before I got her?…. I’ve had her a couple of months.
I'm no expert, but what's the temperature? My windows aren't totally filtered but I notice when it's directly in the sun indoors, it does better. I also make sure to bottom-water it like every 1-3 days, making sure it's always most. It should have bloomed before losing its color, I feel!
Not too long ago. Perhaps a couple of months ago? Who knows anymore, though I could look it up, and I think you can too, lol. Thanks for watching, I love to hear from viewers! 🌲

Question.. y is it called air plant if can grow in soil?
How often do they flower? Can you force them to flower?
Ones and no.
So mine flowered then lived through winter and made pups but the main plants middle growths keep dying and so do the pups middle growths 😩🤷♂️
Did yours ever re flower btw
What's the soil mix?
Can I deadhead the purple flowers once they die?
What does it mean when the quill turns yellow? The leaves are still dark green.
