I am just gonna say the same things again ... you're just as same age as my self ..i was diagnosed when i was 18 and now i am 21 ..
Just chill mate .... it's allright ....i know ..mi understand .......i know you can atleast do something.. there's always to try something.....i know i might sound like those assholes saying diet can fix that and this ...but no it can't cure ...
but some natural things and stuff can help you get better ..
dont eat shit ..stop eating any kind of dairy ...and believe me if you do it right ..you won't need those overpriced meds and pills..
diet effects the functions of your intestine ..so say no to things that doesn't works for you ..
i got into remission for around 2 years.
i don't eat random things..i try to keep things hyginic.
there's a natural medicine for intestines ..called Kutaja Bilwa ... that's some good stuff ...believe me ...take it ..if you can find it..

Hi everyone. Just reading all the comments and I wanted to share my experience. I’ll keep it brief. Diagnosed with UC in 2010. Was never really managed optimally through medication. Got to a point where my flare up was so bad I was on prednisone, imuran, mesavant, steroidal enemas and was about to go onto Remicade. I tried so many different diets and finally found that a ketogenic diet worked for me and I’ve managed to get myself completely off all medication. My doctor didn’t believe me so did a scope and I was all clear. I have gone back to high carb a few times and will never do it because I immediately start to feel GI upset. This has been life changing for me. I encourage everyone to never give up trying things to see what works for you. And don’t listen when people tell you that diet has no impact on IBD. Good luck to everyone

That doctor did nothing for her besides throw medication at her just like the other hospital. You should ask the doctor how much of a kickback she got for prescribing the Biologics. i’m glad you’re feeling better but I too am suffering from ulcerative colitis and I’ve learned that doctors don’t cure anything. They don’t treat the cause. They only treat symptoms. Most of these centers that treat inflammatory bowel disease are not research centers. They are just drug dispensaries. They follow a protocol, just enough to where they can’t be sued.

My brother's symptoms hit very 4:14 quickly and it felt like one day he was fine the next he was in the toilet 5 times a day. He was 15 and was diagnosed within 5 weeks. By diagnosis he was going 30 times a day and had lost 3 stone. He had all the treatment available and he had pan ulcerative colitis. A year later he had his colon removed. Like you he had his life back.
He is now 17, he took his GCSEs last summer and passed all of them even though he lost 16 months from school. He is now doing A levels and looking at University.
He had step back whilst on holiday last year due to a twisted bowel and had life saving surgery. But he's great now and we are very proud of him.
We thank the Royal London Hospital every day for what they did and the continued support they give him.

victoria UC is very complicated, might work for you, won’t work for everybody. Every body is different and not one works for all. I’m still figuring mine out, but I’m sure I’ll get there . I already took diary completely out of my diet ( that is number one killer for me) except butter doesn’t cause me a flare up. I’m vegan now and I only eat chicken with certain mixes can’t have paprika. Rice and noodles don’t bother me, still figuring it out since I can have random flare ups from time to time . Not in remission as of yet , but I’m hopeful . Congratulations on your remission ❤️❤️

Call Me LiViD it depends on how you’re body reacts to the steroids snd the other medicine in the IV my fist drip was 15 ml and for 4 hours then , 30 ml and hour for 2 hours and then 1 hour of 60ml , you do it daily until you get moved on to oral steroids or whatever they treat you with. You only really get IV if you have it quite severely (the level below requiring urgent surgery st or near diagnosis instead of later life) if you have it not too greatly you can occasionally get a milk only diet for 8 weeks. I’m 14 and was diagnosed on 16/03/19 after a Colonoscopy and an Endoscopy whilst on general anaesthetic , steroids and the other thing has helped me with my severe Ulcerative Colitis a lot but people react differently 👍

Thanks for sharing this powerful story! Gut health is so important for overall health! Indicators of a healthy gut include: colon transit time of 12-24 hours, type 4 stool on the Bristol stool chart, not having diarrhea or constipation, having 1-3 bowel movements per day, and light-dark brown colored stools!

You might be tired for the first couple weeks (depends on every person). I am going to get a second surgery in the summer because I have school. But for the colostomy bag, my concern when going to school was it making noise when the stool comes out, but it makes noise for me sometimes but it’s usually never loud. Although it is different for every one. I am praying for your recovery and maybe you can read my comment to your parents or just you. The reason behind the inflamation of the large or small intestine is the toxic food residues which is accumulated in the bowels. First thing should be cleaning and discharge of the bowels. İ think i am suffering from the same problem. Having lots of enemas and suppositories until feeling the relief will surely help. i take black and yellow myrobalan half a teaspoon each before every meal to empty my bowels and i feel the pressure and needles in my bowels decreased. Remember every diseases start in the stomach and the bowels. Once the stomach and the bowels are clean then the inflamation will disappear itself.

Rylee Rich no because people cant give up there addictions. It takes hard determination to stick to a whole food plant based diet. It is a cure and it works for everyone. You may need to avoid certain plant foods too like soy. Start with low protein and not too much fiber at first till you can tolerate more fiber and your intestines heal. It will take time so ease in.

Believe me you want to read this. I had UC for 6 years and tried every medication but they’ll all eventually stop working. Did a j pouch surgery and that was the best decision I ever made. I had it a year ago and I have ZERO problems now and have completely control over my bowel movements. Trust me and do the surgery and don’t let the doctors keep writing you different medications in the hope of getting better. They might work for a while but the effectiveness will stop and even the best medication that’s out there won’t keep the symptoms fully away. If I’d go back, I’d get the surgery as soon as I was diagnosed and save myself from being tortured for 6 years. That’s just my experience though and I’m in no way a healthcare provider.

J pouch and colectomy surgeries do not guarantee relief. Many patients undergo the surgery and do not experience improvement. Definitely exhaust your medicinal options including CBD or newer meds such as Entyvio, which only targets the immune system of the gut.

Dr. McDougall’s Whole Foods plant based diet has gotten me out of a nasty flare. Diet and vigorous exercise tames the disease and will make you a healthier person overall. Good luck to everyone with uc and keep your head up. Be happy to be alive and enjoy this beautiful world! 😎

@@ineedvyvanse3493 You must be wildly misguided then! Never heard that potatoes and rice could send someone to the hospital! I recommend you try to juice cabbage twice a day. Glutamine in the cabbage will heal colitis and set you on the track to get your life back! This disease is caused only by the Standard America diet!! It is a crime that the medical industry does not share proper information with disease sufferers.
