Good video, thanks, I recieved this router from amazon, could not get it set up, there was no qr code with it so I am returning it and have another one on the way, hopefully with your video and a qr code, i will get the new one going.

Unfortunately I don’t. I don’t even have that router anymore. I gave it to my brother. I would suggest doing what you just did was the factory reset. Sorry it’s giving you such a nightmare. Good luck my friend and thanks for watching my video.
I can’t get mine to show up as en ext option when I look at my Wi-Fi options. I set it up as a Wi-Fi extension rather than a router. Is that my problem?
Can you help me I have a nighthawk r9000 the port for my adt camera closed called nighthawk but they are in inda can't understand what they are saying if so how can I reach you
@@FrankGuest Thanks anyway fixed it on my own powered down netgear and my adt gate way plugged them both in and it all came back online and to think I had to pay adt tech a service call and he did not even know that
A better router will definitely help with your range issues. You will still have to use the modem from your internet provider. You could also get a mesh system. That would be a new router with another WAP someplace else in the house. I set up the Orbi at my parents house. I have a video on that on my channel.
Stay away from Netgear if you have Comcast/Xfinity! Days wasted on the phone! three different Netgear WiFi gateways, including orbi, will not stay connected and EX7000 extender doesn't work with Comcast gateway.

In the 5g wifi change the channel from auto to a static channel that will fix the speed.. at least in the R700

You need a modem. I plugged my Nighthawk into my old one. So I’m piggy backing off my Verizon modem/router.

Cheap solution that works in some houses with good electric wiring is a powerline adapter. Gets 250 mbps to my ps5 😈
