He's right that the VIP scene divided up into different sections over time. The "original pure VIP" is basically only White, Silver or Black full size V8 luxury cars, mostly Toyota, Lexus and Nissan. Its basically a classy car with a nice interior for the mod boss to ride in and can escape the police. This is why in the "original VIP" the cars are not stanced out with negative camber but rather have good flushed fitment with good grip and also had performance mods (again escape police). This was the whole point of the original VIP. However - things change over time. The first early change was when VIP cars started not being V8s and full size sedans. When people started doing it to V6, I4 and smaller cars which is fine because it still embodies the simple Original VIP form. But VIP scene really went off the rail when it got crazier with lights and super negative camber. These things aren't truly VIP but rather than VIP Style/influenced. A mod boss would not ride in a car with negative camber, with purple body paint and lights that stand out. That isn't avoiding detection. Lol.
VIP style has nothing to do with the yakuza or "mob bosses" at all, it simply started off with young people wanting their domestic luxury cars to look like AMG and koenig cars then it developed from there and took inspiration from haiso styling and more. In the beginning there was indeed a lot of black, silver and white cars but also red and blue. There's no "true VIP", it's a lot broader and flexible than most people claim.
@@TokyoDesperado You have no idea what you are talking about. The Yakuza started the VIP scene and then it lead to young people copying the style. The VIP style was never about copying AMG cars... What VIP style car looks like AMG cars? Since when do AMG cars run negative chamber and lay frame?

Many don't know the true difference and that's what makes them amateurs. You can't vip a coupe or convertible, it doesn't work that way. VIP has to be big body sedans such as the president, cima, crown, or majesta. Everything else that isn't in those categories are basically vip inspired. And why would you listen to Urban dictionary? They used the word "rim"....it's actually called a wheel 😂 the rim would be the lip on the wheel. Tsk tsk tsk!

Also it is an expensive build as well just for an example like chaser taillights running $1500+, bodykits $2000+,most static VIP builds with suspension component from companies like Tdemand who specializes in camber, short knockles, coilovers and more will cost you more then an air suspension setup. $7-$10+. In the VIP scene quality is very important. And using low quality parts rep wheels, or knock off parts is extremely frowned upon and have a low tolerance. If you come in the scene with a positive vibe then all is welcome but if you come for scene points definitely not the scene you wont to come into. It’s pretty much the scene you enter once you’re like a grown adult but still enjoy building a project.

Old school, functional VIP cars are still awesome. There's some guy rolling an imported, rhd Soarer in my town and it's sick. He has it lowered, flush, and then just blacked out EVERYTHING. it doesn’t really make sense to call VIP builds “luxury ricers” RICE stands for RACE inspired cosmetic enhancements and most people who work on VIP builds aren’t looking to make their car look like a race car, they just want it to look elegant and refined
I thought i wanted to build a VIP car until i saw this video. Now i dont know what i want. I just want a lower ride height with a tucked fitment and a stage one tune with an aftermarket intercooler in my 2014 VW CC. Whatever category that falls in🤷🏻♂️

I have an Infiniti m35 20in esr sr12 . Static on bc coilovers all from fitment industries. Love the vip style always a looker
Just picked up a Lexus LS400 been wanting to make a VIP build for a hot minute .
I’m buying nitto neo gens from you guys literally just because you loved my comment
Might catch heat for my choice, but 02 Acura RL. (Yes I meant to put the R there and not a T). It’s basically a four door upgraded and rebadged Acura Legend. 96k miles on the dash, currently doing a VIP build on that.
Those red and chrome wheels to the left of him are so nice what are they , they kinda look like welds ( I don’t know much about wheels)
I’ve got a ‘99 GS300, currently saving for an Aristo swap but from then on I’m focusing on making it a VIP build. Not going crazy with colour or camber as it is my daily but bags, big wheels and a wide body are a must 👌
In the process of VIPing my 3IS. Junction Produce Scaras are expensive man
Old school, functional VIP cars are still awesome. There's some guy rolling an imported, rhd Soarer in my town and it's sick. He has it lowered, flush, and then just blacked out EVERYTHING. He parks it up with a collection of "fix it" citations for his tint all across the dash. Which you can barely see, because again - tinted obscenely dark.
Wouldn’t build one myself, but I love admiring them at shows
I love how 80’s West Coast culture is never talked about when it comes to VIP or any of the current hot items like deep dish wheels. Check any 80’s lowrider magazines
That's because lowrider is not the same as VIP.
@@ShogunEthix west coast low rider cars and interior mods was before VIP but never said they were the same. But no one gives credit to the originals who started it.
The "crazy VIP" And cars that were shown when talking about this is usually referred to as GT VIP
Real VIP, top of the line or midrange sedan with the biggest factory engine slammed on aggressive fitting wheels. RWD. VIP style = the stuff peope do to accords and camrys to make them look like a VIP build. Thailand had the best VIP style builds at one point. They probably still do.
Thank you for clarifying that about VIP cars.
I have a 2005 Lexus LS430 UL (Black on black)
I have a lot of work to do. First on the agenda; wheels and suspension 😅
Thank you.
Much love from Pasadena California.
He also forgot to mention EXE (executive) style. Same as VIP but more reserved wheel fitments and subtle lip kits. Basically, drivable versions of VIP cars.
i’m only 18 and going into college but i have the start to a vip car, 2007 acura tl slammed on its nuts with the beige interior and a custom trunk setup soon i’m remodeling the whole interior so give it that VIP look that ive been wanting
Nice stanced estonian lexus and greeting from Estonia!
I ordered rims and tires from fitment industries because I’m a big fan of your guy’s channel. I wanted you guys to be the first mod that I did to my car. I ordered it about a month and a half ago and when I got the delivery information it said that it would be delivered on 23 June it’s currently the 27th and I won’t be able to go to my local car meet with my new wheels. I really wanted to show off these new wheels but they’re not here yet :(
I feel like I'd be part of the very few who own a Chrysler 300S V.I.P.d and also have an '86 Chevy K10 for pulling my friends out of ditches (These are my dream vehicles rn idk why).
I am trying to VIP my genesis sedan 2013 but it is insane finding parts to do this with lol.
What wheels are those in the bottom right of the video? The copper/bronze ones😍?
Cosmis Racing XT-206R--> bit.ly/2GsKlVY
Appreciate it guys y'all are awesome up there at Fitment...will be lowering my car on coilovers soon and looking at those wheels for my other car. Have been binge watching this channel lately cause the vids are so informative...btw Alex and Gels are the OGs😎
i feel like im the only person in your sub count that wants a drag inspired street car. if you can, please do a video on drag builds
I gotta 2010 Acura TL and realized that it has limited aftermarket parts so VIP might be the way to go for me. I damn near LED-ed everything on the car now. Should be complete by next spring. I’m not messing with the camber either!!!
Vip build ls400s got me into cars. Then when I couldn’t find a 400 and was desperate for a car I bought a g35 coupe. On a mission to do a vip influenced build on a coupe, focusing mainly on attention to detail and interior upgrades. Some may find it stupid but, you know, it is what it is. That’s the cool thing about this community. There’s something for everyone. Definitely going to do a ls400 build sometime tho
Not for camber tho personally.
That Ls430 at 3:37 is a beautiful car good lord.
ARE WE IGNORING THE MUSIC????
my boy frankie has a vip benz with that realllly rare dark green oem paint its soooo clean
Those red & silver wheels are dope!
Thank you for listening 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
What wheel is behind your left arm?
I need that color on my wheels.
1:51 those are actually some badass tailights. A little rice-y but I would totally put those style lights on a Nissan Cima.
Yessssss thank you Alex!! Haha appreciate it!
And yes I mob my daily VIP GS400 everyday, just finished my headliner and starlight effect. Only thing that sits in the back is food when I do door dash lmfao
I really like that wheel with red 5 spokes and silver lip behind you what is it and does it come in a 19x10 and 19x11.
Those would be the Cosmis Racing XT-005R! Shoot us an email at wheels@fitmentindustries.com and we can help you get hooked up!
What wheel is that in the top row to your right? Above the five spoke red wheel?
Those would be the Cosmis Racing XT-005R which can be found here! --> bit.ly/2CqcDi5
Fitment Industries sorry I meant the one above those. The ten spoke ones
I would like to do a VIP on a 90's Lexus, but I hate the thought of lowering it and adding diagonal wheels 🤦🏼♂️a "vip" would want to have a comfortable ride right?
That Diablo GT is beautiful...
Got a 2004 Toyota Celsior here on 20" work wheels.
My new favorite look
I have a 2004 Jaguar XJR and looking to do a mild VIP theme, just finding decent wheels in 5x108 has been tricky
"Coilovers and wheels aren't a build."
Any stanced type r owner: _Im gonna pretend i didnt see that._
What are the silver and gold mesh wheels, up in the corner, behind Alex?
For my build Iam using my 98 accord four door and adding leather soft suspension and using premium materials to make the car classy the car will be grey. And a set of 17/18 inch wheels. Just basically a oem+ in a way
Wow, whoever wrote/edited that urban dictionary article, really did love errant apostrophes, oops I mean apostrophe's 😂😂😂
Doing a V.I.P 2020 Camry coming to y’all for suspension and fitment of my antique 3 piece wheel faces!!!
👀🔥
Do you do a daily driver showcase? I'm in sales so I can't show up with a straight wild show car but I can't ride stock, so like many others, we do simple modifications to make are nice car unique to us.
We do not! You should upload your ride to our gallery however and we will feature your ride on our Instagram and website! www.fitmentindustries.com/add-wheel-offset
Hopefully getting a Celsior Monday off all goes well. If it does, It’ll be my daily build.
Divine's building one as we speak 🖤
My favorite car aesthetic is like late 90s early 00s lowered alpina BMWs with dark tints and look classy but mean
Holy shit, someone should count the number of times he managed to say "like" in under 6 minutes. That's impressive.
I'm (slowly) building my Ford Falcon FG-X ute to be a vip lowrider with a nice comfy ride. You can make these sorts of cars very nice to be in. it's a pretty big scene in my part of Australia. Just copy that of Mercedes and BMW with their prestige to make something simpler into something more.
What footage is that at 4:14? Where can i find the whole video?
Luke Huxman's TH-cam page!
@@FitmentIndustries buddy, bottom left of the screen
That 10 spoke wheel over your right shoulder what is it and how can I get a set
i want one like that for a daily! comfortable but lightly modified and cool
it doesn’t really make sense to call VIP builds “luxury ricers” RICE stands for RACE inspired cosmetic enhancements and most people who work on VIP builds aren’t looking to make their car look like a race car, they just want it to look elegant and refined
I thought i wanted to build a VIP car until i saw this video. Now i dont know what i want. I just want a lower ride height with a tucked fitment and a stage one tune with an aftermarket intercooler in my 2014 VW CC. Whatever category that falls in🤷🏻♂️
where do you guys get your parts for vip builds?
What are the wheels to the left of your head?
Forged Concept 1 wheels!
My 10 year old kid saw me watching this video and went “what wrong with the wheels?? They’re all tilted!” 😂😂😂 I said yep, exactly.
5:21 what are those wheels in the top left corner???
I have a 13 Hyundai genesis 5.0 r spec 4 door that would nice as a vip car
I only dropped mine couple inches. Can’t really adjust camber for the genesis if you plan on vip
VIP Lexus is Yakuza, '13 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 Spec is Korean Mafia the way it is
Love the xavier wulf instrumental
FIYAAAA
I got myself a nice looking 97 ls400 and the VIP look on it is wild. But in a good way
What are the wheels right behind Alex’s head?
Klutch KF!
For me VIP cars are clean cars on the outside with maybe a little camber and nice fitment but balls to the wall filled with gadgets interior
Mark Potappel commonly seen with diamond stitched leather across most surfaces. A nice wood or leather wrapped quick release, a tv or 2, maybe a fridge, diamond stitched pillows and tray tables. Well I’ve seen s few like that
Maxwell *Personal Account* wood and chrome grip royal
