    i own a delta from Flsun. Now I love it. In recent days i am getting error after 1% print. i am too lazy to tinker with why and fix the issue. i need more about using delta printers. i am also on the market for another one. preferably one with a built in slicer

      +Taintedeagle Tim, I haven't forgot about you. I need to order some more orange PLA so I can print out some more.

    Great info, thanks. I've been thinking about getting into 3D printing and after this video, I think I want to get a Delta printer.

      do it, you wont regret it! Deltas can be a bit more of a pain to set up, but the final result is worth it.

    Quick Question! Are the arms attached to the extruder/hotend fixed or suspended by gravity. I can't seen to work it out!
    Further clarification: the joints from the arm to the block moving around side the printer...

    Great video. Just used this to teach some students about delta printers!
    Which type of paint did you use at the end of the video?

    • @PhysicsAnonymous
      @PhysicsAnonymous  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's awesome! makes me very happy to hear people are learning from these videos. may I ask what age your students are?

    what kind of board do you use with you delta?and motor?i would like to buy mks 1.3 sbase on aliexpress but i don t know if their stepper is good for delta frame

    • @PhysicsAnonymous
      @PhysicsAnonymous  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the board is a smoothieboard v2-pro. you can find more info here:
      smoothieware.org/smoothieboards.
      And these are the motors:
      www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PNEQMLY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
      note on the motors. these are the higher .9 degree per step motors, which gives you better resolution the standard 1.8 degree. you just have to make sure you tell your firmware that.
      I dont know anything about the sbase, but i took a quick look at the hardware. looks like it would do the job pretty well. it has a fast 32 bit PCU, which is important for deltas. looks like it also has nice motor drivers with proper heat sinks. my concern would be what firmware it runs. i am a big fan of the smoothieboard firmware and its starting to be supported by some other projects (like CNC and Laser cutter, i will have a video coming out soon on that last one). do your research on the firmware, if you think you can take it on and if there is a good amount of support online, i would say you are good to go.

    that was really really great video! :"D I've seen tons of 3D printers Videos, but to be fairly honest this one of the best!! not only informative but funny too :D But hoped that you will talk a little bit more about the inverse kinematics coz i'm really interested in such field, so if you know any other "beginner level" Kinematics stuff, PLEASE Parse it here :D
    Thanks

      NOOR AHMED SAMIR, thank you for the kind words my friend! I did a quick search on TH-cam and it looks like all the videos on ik are pretty low level and heavy in the math. I think I will have to make a video talking about the basics. I will put it on the list for 2017 :) thanks for the suggestion

      what do you think of the Flux Delta+ ? Its much faster than my CR-10 however I'm getting it fairly close after some mods :) I love the space saving design that Deltas offer but most sacrifice that build volume as a result. Which would you say is your favorite printer to use whether it be a delta or cartesian style?

    For a newbie like me this 3d printer is an good choise?

    • @PhysicsAnonymous
      @PhysicsAnonymous  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Crystian Iriarte, that depends on your expectations I think. if you are looking for something you can just plug in and use then this is not for you. if you want something to experiment with and learn a lot about how 3d printing works then I say go for it!

    • @iriartef1
      @iriartef1 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok.
      Now i'm reading about 3d printing and understand a little.
      I think this is what i'm looking for.
      Thanks a lot!

      i'd caution against starting with a delta, getting used to 3d printing is already enough of a leap, deltas are a leap from even that.
      if you want a really good kit to buy, get a prusa i3 mk2, they're absolutely fantastic for like $700 in a kit, which is a good price for a kit printer.
      use the prusa to print the parts for a delta :D
      also if you make a delta, get the smoothieboard to run it, smoothie is awesome for deltas for a bunch of reasons, including delta grid compensation if you set up auto bed leveling

    Just bought one and as I'm good DIY I set it up fast. I'm sitting here now like "now what" lol. Dunno where to begin tuning it up and software wise (every video says something else) what to install and operate. Mostly stuff like this with no instructions: th-cam.com/video/4yWhqXDXSg8/w-d-xo.html btw Great video and nice key chains!
