@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 thx, will look out for it. I have checked the net and there are no videos at all. No steps as to how to do this on the vw forums as well
Just to add, I replaced the fuel filter twice on my Polo.... Its not a joke😅😅 even after using q20 it was really difficult to remove it. Somehow the pipes didn't want to budge. My fingers were numb after wards
Funny thing is that it is often not given a service interval, so it might never be replaced in the life of the vehicle, till it clogs up and gives you either poor running at high speed, or you look up and there is a warning in the ECU of injector on cycle exceeded, or low fuel pressure on the rail. Bet there are plenty of fuel pumps replaced because the filter is clogged.
@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 I live in the hot and humid KZN, at least here there is no horizontal rain and the south easter, just the 6 day spells of cloud rolling through from the Cape. i know of that filter from my own car, saw the injection time being too long and poor performance, and looked up the service interval for the filter, only to see it as being "lifetime" only. Changed again last service, around every 4 years so far, and worth it. Just one tank of dirty fuel and you can clog it entirely.
It has to go in the way it came out, one is the inlet, and the other the return, so it has to be put in correctly, the end with the single pipe is the outlet.
I tried to replace the filter but i couldnt get one pipe out. Its the side which has one pipe. I couldn’t find the tap to pull it out. I tried squeezing that didnt word as well. Need some help..
The only way is to locate the release tabs and push on it with a screwdriver, to get the pipe loose, be careful not to damage or you will have to replace the whole damaged section. There is no other way, sorry.
@@volkan3480 all I can say is that you require patience and comfort. Mine eventually budged just because I raised the car to a level where I could freely move my arms . Also if you are in a hurry , you will get frustrated and get mad at the filter or yourself and neither helps,😅. Spray q20 , leave it to work and then locate the clips/buttons and work on it slowly
@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 haha well I only fill at Engen. I also always fill up at the same 2 garages. Not sure if that may be a reason or not but thought Ill add it.

The two pipes at back does it go in any way or its marked with colour or anything

@Thanks for your videos, they really are informative. Please can you tell me where to find the EGR valve in a petrol CLP engine? Thanks.
Hi Yanda, EGR Valves are used on turbo engines, mainly diesel.
@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 Thank you sir. I actually did suspect that it might not be there. Once again thanks for your uncut videos.
It is good to constantly learn, Yanda this is how we expand our knowledge.

So what if one of the pipes brakes how do you replace it?
good luck my friend, not impossible but you'd probably have to follow the pipe to the other end its connected into and replace the whole thing
Is this the vw polo e (60) 1.2 L 2008?
No Dylan 1.4 BLM engine code.
Is this a diesel vehicle??
No, Sarin, it is a petrol engine.
I have not changed mine once and no issues at 95 000km.
You are one of the lucky ones Lugmaan. Lol
