Sledgehammer did a good job post season but let’s not act like they didn’t kickstart this whole behind dev rotation shit in 2020 when they couldn’t finish the game with raven causing treyarch to come in early and fix it and they gotta do their third mode the last two games smh they need two year lifecycles for these games
@@blackzamasu3077 true, it’s sad that them and Raven couldn’t stop beefing to get that project out, but ever since then they just keep getting screwed with vanguard and MW3. I’m hoping the next game they are gonna get a full development cycle, I’m curious what they can cook if given the time.
Sledgehammer even tried new playstyle ideas in matchmaking in VANGUARD. Why dont they ever bring their innovating ideas over to the other future CODs. ACTIVISION is treating them like a 3rd wheel in a 4way orgy. I truly hope the hurt ACTIVISION gets this years COD will give SHG their roses to do what THEY WANT.
Activision treats sledgehammer like 3rd class citizens! I love that studio. But nah I’m for a new game new single player every year. I don’t play madden or nba2k they expect a new game every year. Just like me been hyped from cod 2 till now.
@David-A. Terrible campaign....I'm a multi-player guy, and Sledgehammer did great on the post-lauch content to keep everyone interested until blackops 6.
The only reason why Sledgehammer gave us so many maps is because MW3 was based off of MWII, and they had original MW2 maps at launch. It’s not that they did amazing but that they literally had to because the entire game was basically a DLC. I can’t wait until the next sledgehammer game and you say, “Sledgehammer dropped the ball” 😂
Considering the fact we got 16 unoriginal maps for launch it makes sense to have this much new content. The wrong thing for people to do is to carry this mindset over to new cod games after because mwiii is still just a huge hot fix update from mwii
As someone who hasn’t played a full cod life cycle since bo2 (yeah I’m old) I genuinely feel like mw3 is the best cod since then and that was literally 12 years ago. Cheers to sledge games the game gets way to much disrespect
I have only ever bought cod for zombies, first player waw when i friend said "wanna play this zombies game that just came out?" Then i bought it and unlocked zombies, all dlc, bo1, bo2, bo3. I also bought ghosts, only 5 cods ive ever bought. Ive played a little bo4 and cold war zombies but not a fan, love bo4 maps though. And it used to feel like ive got something i can play for years and love it, i haven't stopped playing bo3. Zombies hasn't been to my enjoyment since, not saying 4 or cold war were bad, im just not a fan. And 6 looks shakey, im not sure what to think until i can truly play it and i will buy it because the 2nd week of the beta convinced me, the multiplayer was stupid fun so i will play it either way. But i don't want to end up dropping it because zombies was unenjoyable, and next year is apparently another black ops and real zombies scenario. I worry this game is a way to feel everything out so this whole year of zombies is experimental, and multiplayer too probably. We might lose omnimovement and that was the thing that made me love that beta. We all hate the codhq crap but ive felt for so long theres an easy solution. You take all the cod teams and divert them up to where all the multiplayer guys are together, the zombies team is together, and a campaign team exists. Release 3 games, a zombies game, a multiplayer game, and then every year drop a new campaign that offers rewards for both other games for playing. You put it all on the same engine, but then focus on that 1 game until it is necessary to make a new engine for all of them. Now you say "thats not profitable for them to not release a game every year." Well if all these teams are exclusively this role, theres 1 thing easy for them to do thats no different than a new game each year. Release a $60-70 dlc each year with a whole games worth of content, or make the zombies and multiplayer games f2p with lots of dlc but that idea is not great. But then this way each year youre still buying a new games price of shit if you desire it. If you already know all your investment will stay then people are much more likely to keep playing and keep supporting. And their money each year is no different. But most people would probably see this as a bad idea im sure
